But this faciilty is easily one of the most beautiful in the area. It sits up on a hill with these massive floor to ceiling windows in the ballroom that give you a view of LA that rivals looking out from Stark Tower,, it is just an amazng vibe. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. They handled all our executive attendees with that Captain America level of patience and coordination. We had a bunch of professionals there for the event and they all kept talking about how it felt like a real getaway... not just a boring corporate room. plus there is a ton of walking space outside. you can wander around and clear your head like Doctor Strange visiting Kamar-Taj. Anyway, the whole two days went perfectly. If you are putting together a big meeting or training, you cant just settle for some random hotel basement. * the views alone are worth it * the team has your back like Nick Fury I highly recommend this place. it really feels like the official Avengers Compound but with way better scenery. I haven't been here in a few years. My grandma and I use to come here and pray. With her recent passing, I wanted to go somewhere that made me feel her comfort. I found myself here. This place is beautiful. It sits on the mountain top. Amazing views. Very quiet and overall just a very peaceful place. I've always enjoyed coming here. There's a hiking trail as well which I have hiked a few time, I like this trail because it's a good workout and very scenic. It feels good to be surrounded by nature and just being here lifts my spirits and makes me happy. I miss my grandma and wanted to come here for that reason but I'm glad I did because i forgot how amazing his place is and I will definitely be back, next time to hike the trail :) read more

I was invited to the yearly teddy bear tea to support the Walnut Valley education foundation. It started off with a nice greeting and a glass of mimosa where we were escorted to our dining table, which was nicely decorated with a nice variety of snacks. The room was completely decorated and had gift baskets that were being raffled off, and there was additional items outside patio for a silent auction. My friends wanted to go for a hike here. I've never been and wanted to join. It's a holiday weekend so it wasn't crowded. The view of the city was nice but there's a lot of weeds and wildflowers along some of the trails so if you're allergic, make sure to be extra careful and wear pants instead of shorts. Some of the trails have steep parts but there's so many routes to choose from. We went for about 1.5 hour and had a good time. read more

I scheduled my event for September 2025 in June 2024. In January 2025, I received a notification from the center informing me that my event had been canceled due to a city project. This situation has caused significant frustration and inconvenience. I have already arranged for a mass and vendors for that date, for which I have made payments and provided deposits. Consequently, I was compelled to search for an alternative venue. Additionally, it is particularly aggravating that the return of my deposit for the venue may take four to six weeks. It is unreasonable that they canceled my event; they should have been prepared to refund my deposit within a week of the cancellation. I am perplexed as to why the process of returning my deposit is taking so long! read more

Getting there: Once you enter the driveway there is parking to the right which is essentially right in front of the venue. If that lot is full you can park in the additional parking lot that is to the left when you enter the driveway. I enjoy hiking behind the Diamond Bar Center. It is a harder hike so, you might have to be hiking easier ones before doing this one.

I came here to attend a wedding and this one thing that happened really bothered me. They party was asking for their wedding cake and this location insisted they only received a certain size of the cake. This was stressing the bride and groom out because from their understanding the cake was delivered. The bride called the bakery and asked them what was going on and she was in the corner clearly upset. The vendor insisted they dropped it off at this location. It turns out this location misplaced it and they found it. I would never want to stress on my wedding day. This could have been clearly avoided if the location was organized or if they did a thorough check. One of the workers asked "are you sure they brought it.. it might be in another room.. I just need the key to that room" this was before the ceremony... after the ceremony when the bride and groom are now married they still couldn't find the cake then again insisted it wasn't there. Like I said they eventually found it but I feel like it was lack of trying, because clearly it was there. Again this is a guest pov and as a bride I would never want to experience this on my wedding day. read more

If you want the ultimate CUSTOM wedding with all your favorite foods plus a talent show, Diamond Bar Center is your dream wedding venue come true! There are many pros to having an event here: stunning hilltop views, hiking trails, plenty of free parking, grand ballroom with high ceilings, and a stage! DBC allows outside food and alcohol with proper documentation (catering permits, food receipts, certified bartenders, etc.) The grand ballroom accommodates up to 400+ guests, so this was the perfect venue for me. No fancy decorations were necessary because the architecture is already beautifully designed. If you know a Diamond Bar resident, they can help you book the venue at the discounted resident rate. The only thing they didn't allow was a fog machine for the dance floor, but I could easily live without that! The event coordinators are very friendly, and willing to provide a tour by appointment. I was also able to visit the venue multiple times without an appointment just to look around and familiarize myself with the venue (I visited in early afternoons, before any event was starting to set up). The venue is in high demand, so my fiance and I booked the venue 16 months in advance for the next available Saturday. (It was worth the wait!) You also have to pay for the venue by the hour, so set-up and clean-up time is tight (you may want to consider adding extra time for clean-up). DBC provides the tables, chairs, portable bar, dance floor, lighting for the dance floor and stage. They also have mics, speakers, and a projector. A handful of DBC staff will also be available during the event (to help with lighting, trash, etc). For an additional fee, I used the outside motor court and lawn area for cocktail hour and fun lawn games. I worked with DBC event staff to design the floor plan about two months in advance. Hosting an event at DBC requires A LOT of planning and logistics. I had to plan and bring the tablecloths, silverware, glassware, centerpieces, hire waitstaff/bartenders, schedule food deliveries, etc. A day-of coordinator is a must as well. This wedding tested my planning skills, but it was worth having everything custom-designed. (Tip: Create a detailed logistics packet with contact numbers, detailed timeline, pictures, to everyone involved in the planning crew so that everyone knows the schedule. The more descriptive the details, the better the result!) We only had one-hour to clean up. Friends and family all worked together to pack up everything in one hour. If I had to do it over again, I'd add an additional half-hour for cleaning. Tip: Since we reserved a block of rooms at Ayres Suites Diamond Bar, I coordinated a free shuttle with Ayres for the leftover food and alcohol to be dropped off back at the hotel room. Also, DBC allows floating candles (in 12" tall vases or less) and tealight candles only. I already purchased 16" cylinder vases before knowing the size limit, so my 16" vases had no floating candles (which still looked beautiful). In the end, my custom-designed wedding had all my favorite foods from SIX different caterers (Portos, Brodards, Mediterranean, Thai, Filipino, and even Pizza), amazing performances during cocktail hour and on the ballroom stage. We used the projector screen for a photo slideshow and video. My 300 guests are still talking about how EPIC the wedding was. My friend just had her wedding here on Saturday 07/13/2019 and as a guest I could easily tell how picky and demanding this venue is. Their coordinator seemed nice enough but she was all over the place and couldn't be found to ask a question. They are super picky about the caters and alcohol. I was upset when there were technical difficulties with the projector system for the newlyweds' video. Like didn't you test it beforehand? I did enjoy the views and free, spacious parking! If you have read my reviews then you know that I am a parking snob lol. TIP: Please invest in some type of insect control. Natural or chemicals, whatever floats your boat do SOMETHING! I had business dinner event here recently and the staff was so difficult to work with. I see positive reviews from others so I hope this was an isolated incident and they are just experiencing growing pains with their staff. It took days, and in some cases weeks, to get any answers and when I did, the answer kept changing. There was never a consistent staff person assigned to my event, by the time my event was over, I dealt with 5 different people. I know the city owns this property and wants to make it a destination venue, but if they want to be a premiere venue in this region, they need staff who are skilled in event planning and logistics. Mary the young lady that helped with the reservation and details is so nice and friendly. She always had a smile on her face and make the process super easy. The day of the quince. This Center is Built in the Central Part of Diamond Bar. It's a spectacular location for your venue to hold any self organized and personal events. It has memorable atmosphere, scenery and space. The Decor is universal so if you are to bring in your own style /color, and or theme it bounds to mesh well together. Staff is friendly kind and is not overwhelming. This modern structure is hard to avoid. It sits high on a hill and north of "The Country" in City of Diamond Bar. Recommended by several colleagues I was told, "have you seen the DB Community Center?" With a shrug of my shoulders I thought what was the big deal anyways. The views are great though and it's a very good size. Came here yesterday morning for a walk through with my sister in law because she is looking for a venue for her 2014 wedding. The person we met with was a nice person (unfortunately I did not get her name, but she is black and wears glasses. She is probably in her 20's or early 30's). My sister in law came here before but wanted to bring the family this time for feedback. You can find the pricing for this place on Diamond Bar's Center website. There is also a pamphlet you can pick up at the front desk of the center as well. Anyways, there is a higher price for non residents. To go around that, I would highly suggest that if you want to rent this place out for an event, you find a good friend that lives in Diamond Bar to help you out. Or you can also try renting a PO Box and see if that flies for you. Anyways, we were shown the grand ballroom on the 1st floor which has a built in dance floor. Rental of this room comes with access to the balcony (which is allowed for your guests to smoke here if they wish) and the hallway outside of the ballroom. The ballroom can hold 400+ people. For a guest count of less than that, they can sectional off the ballroom to get rid of excess space. But the good thing about this is that there won't be another event occurring in the ballroom. But there can be another event going on upstairs in another room. Part of renting a room at the center requires that you also pay for security. Security can be there to make sure that you have no party crashers at your event, so that shouldn't be an issue. There is a small room that can be rented out at an additional cost (I believe it's $80/ hour) for the bride to use her changing room if she wishes. But there is no restroom in this room. However, there are plenty of clean restrooms right next to the ballroom. One thing to mention is that there are some strict rules you must follow if you decide to hold an event here, such as candles needing to be approved and are required to purchase a permit for them. You also can't tape or nail things onto the walls. There is also a kitchen on site, right behind the ballroom, but does not have cooking capability and can only be used to heat up food (important for your caterer to know). Overall, a very beautiful place with some great views of the city. There is also a dirt trail that the bride and groom could probably get some great photos (although the bride's dress may get a bit dusty though). There is plenty of parking and additional parking lots if there happens to be 2 events happening on the same day. Just one thing negative about this place I would have to say would be the pricing. I think this place just is a bit pricey for what you are getting (the ballroom does provide tables and chairs but not linens). read more

Came here to go on the hiking trail. There are a couple of different trails, I'm not sure which one I took because my friend led us, but it took about an hour to complete, and it went around in a circle, so we ended where we started off. From the beginning, the view was beautiful, and throughout, you will be able to enjoy the sights. You can even see the sky scrapers of Los Angeles. As for the hike, totally kicked my butt. I'm so sore. The uphills are intense, and the downhills were scary. (try going down backwards) I was sweating like a pig. The most rewarding part was during the end of the trail, when cool winds were blowing, drying me off and I felt so good! Definitely something to check out. Make sure you bring alot of water and wear sunscreen! There weren't any shrubs that were prone to scratch your legs, so don't be afraid to wear shorts. One of my friends recently had their reception here. Located off of Grand Ave, there's plenty of parking once you follow the signs and get past the building. No parking fees. To get to the main ballroom, you go past the lobby area. Next to the ballroom is a nice open outdoor area. Around the outdoor area are some great views of Diamond Bar/Walnut, as well as a few good locations for a wedding ceremony. The space could easily seat 200 to 300 people. Could be more, depending on how you arrange the tables. During cocktail hour, we spent time at the southern outdoor area, where there was an open bar for us, as well as appetizers. There were a few tables where you could stand, chat, and eat your foods. It was a very large area, and probably was same size as the main ballroom. Dinner was spent indoors, and was buffet-style. The huge line of food was spread out on tables on the other side of the ballroom (opposite of where cocktail hour was done). Overall, we very much enjoyed the wedding. Very large area for large weddings, and it can definitely accommodate a lot of guests. It's also not too close to the residential areas,but I think there's still a curfew. I believe everyone had to leave by around 11pm, at the absolute latest. Very clean, good modern look, great views, free parking. read more

We come out to this place to check out the view - at sunset and at night, it's breathtaking. While I wish the park near the back of the Diamond Bar Center was a bit bigger, occasionally we've seen people bring their dogs and their kids to try out the trail (something I want to do eventually). While I haven't gone inside the venue itself except to use the restroom, it looks like a pretty good place to for various events. There's plenty of parking, and the building is well-kept. read more

We just had our wedding reception here this past saturday May 9, 2015. This venue is beautiful! You do need to book way in advance ( we booked in june 2013 ) and if you are or know a diamond bar resident Who is willing to book for you there is a $1,000 discount!! It is an empty palet that only includes tables and chairs ( if you want to use them) dancefloor and portable bars. However if you are on a budget ( trust me... We are not ballin!) this place is the way to go!!! We definitely compared vendor pricing and even looked into some vendors other reviews had listed, some came in handy and we used but we also found cheaper pricing on others and we were able to have the perfect wedding we had invisioned despite our finances ( our budget was $19k ) and guestlist of 300. Believe me... I cried when we first started looking at venues when we were quoted on cost because i didnt think we could have something nice ..... Boy was i WRONG!!!! My husband assured me we would have a beautiful, perfect wedding that we deserved and he sure delivered finding this place and doing vendor research ( THANK YOU my LOVE!!!!) But bringing in different vendors and doing our homework and having it here... We were able to have our dream wedding. EVERYONE but especially us were completely satisfied with how it all came together and looked absolutely gorgeous.... Even keeping it as simple as we did. You do need a same day coordinator ( listed below) and will need some family help when its all over for clean up... But thats minor when you see all the $$ you sve compared to other venues. If you have a cash bar you do need a permit ( your caterer should handle, i listed mine below).... And the the alcohol serving time can only be 5 consecutive hours, but who wants a bunch of drunks there anyway????! It worked out perfect and gave the guest an hour to somewhat sober up before going home. The staff was very friendly and helped me prepare the past two years weve been planning and returned calls/emails with no problem. I also had my bridal shower there at Topos- jorge also offers great packages on food services as an outside caterer.. and he also offers the use of his whole place for private parties/events at a great price and requires a beyond affordable deposit. It's been 3 years since my last review and I just wanted to give a little update. Since 2012 I have planned & coordinated 3 additional weddings at this location and have had nothing but an amazing experience! It saddened me to come back on this site though and still see more, less-than-5-star reviews complaining about this beautiful venue's rules and regulations (such as setup, alcohol policies and clean up). As I mentioned before, when booking at this venue, it is absolutely necessary to understand that this is a city owned property, and just like any other city owned property, the rules and regulations are going to be quite intense. As long as you are completely aware of everything up front (which the DBC so kindly provides you right on their website, which is very awesome), then you should have no problem at all. I will say though, that for a venue like this, an event coordinator is almost entirely necessary, no matter how orgnaized or skilled you are at planning. I'm an event planner/coordinator myself, I planned my entire wedding to a T, but I still hired a day-of coordinator which I do not regret for a single second. A coordinator who knows this venue well will be able to provide you some added insight that might go overlooked by somebody who has never hosted an event here before (especially if you're hosting both your ceremony & reception at this location!!!) After my own wedding at the DBC, I learned a lot of do's and don't and do-better's and I always pass those on to my clients. Overall this is an amazing venue, and for the price, it simply cannot be beat. It isn't for the faint of heart though, this venue is either for the person or couple who is highly organized, skilled at planning down to the fine details, and looking for a blank canvas to design their dream event on their own from scratch, OR for the person or couple who is willing to hire a full wedding planner/designer/coordinator to do it all for them. As I mentioned prior, an amazing event at this location with about 200 people can be executed for as little as $11K and look & feel like a $30K event. It may require a lot of DIY and valuable insight, but all of that goes a long way to ensure such a special day! So get informed, know the rules and regulations up front and you'll be golden! We had our wedding reception at Diamond Bar Center this past month. I cannot begin to tell you how happy we are that we chose this place as our venue for our reception! Our guests loved everything about this place! The view, how spacious it is, the decor, everything! The best thing about this place is when you have the ballroom for your event, you're the only one in there for that night. There isn't another party being hosted right next door. Definitely intimate for you and your guests! Not to mention the staff has been extremely helpful and was pleasant to work with as our big day came up. This review is coming from the standpoint of a person working to set up a wedding. The vicinity itself is nice. I even had time to go on their little hiking trail. That's why this review has got stars. As for whoever was doing event coordinator here/staff here, I wasn't impressed. We came here at 0900 in hopes that after all of there events were over for the day, we could start on the wedding arrangements, of which the reception would start at 1800/1815. My section was the drapes/curtains, which takes forever to set up. We confirmed with the lady at the lobby that all activities are over at 1400. However, even after tables and chairs were set up by THEIR caterers, drapes weren't allowed in until 1600. Why? Who knows. So at 1600, we came and set up with the lighting people. With barely enough time as it is to rush and get everything set up for 1800, they had guests coming at at 1745 (not sure if it was the staff or wedding planner who let them in, but that's what happened). Our team barely made it out in time before the guests came in since. Instead of waiting until the appropriate time (1800/1815) as previously planned and letting us clean up our stuff, THEIR staff high tailed it and threw all of our equipment into random boxes and LOCKED rooms and shooed us out. I understand that it's somebody's wedding you're trying to plan, but KEEP TO YOUR SCHEDULE and we'll be able to work with it. That extra 15 minutes would have made a complete difference on how everything would have looked. The person with the keys was hard to find. I had to flag down a kitchen server to help me, as she was nowhere to be seen. BTW. We weren't being paid by the hour nor even by the staff of DBC. We just wanted these people to have a nice wedding and a great set-up, which is why we arrived as early as we did. But seriously? 1.5 hours to set up a whole room of drapes isn't gonna be the greatest looking of jobs. If tables from THEIR staff were already set up at 1500, we should have been able to set up as well since it wasn't interfering with any other events or people. read more
