I'm glad I had my September wedding here! This was the first venue we toured and came back to after visiting other venues. LeeAnn was such a pleasure to work with and her organization made planning a breeze. She and Christina were so helpful answering our many questions and sending follow ups for next steps. We went with their "Everything but the Ring" package because we wanted the convenience of an all- inclusive, plus we thought it was a great value for a SoCal wedding. We got to choose from their preferred vendor list and there were a good amount of options (photography, floral, bakery, DJ). The menu tasting was delicious and LeeAnn once again made the experience enjoyable. The day of our wedding was rather stress free! Vendors arrived on time, and Banquet captains Chris and Sam ran the event smoothly and were so professional and thoughtful. They made us feel like VIPs. We got married in November and it was better than I could have ever imagined. Similar to what other brides stated, touring, booking, planning, tasting, rehearsal and the actual event went flawlessly... even at the end of the wedding, they were so organized. It was completely stress-free. LeAnne, Eddie, and the entire team executed our wedding so perfectly we didn't have to worry about a thing. They made sure we had champagne and water wherever we went. The ladies even helped bustle my dress since I didn't have a bridal party and my mom and sister were having too much fun at cocktail hour. LeeAnne and team were also very accommodating with all our requests and changes. I appreciate how organized LeeAnne is and how well their team works together, one picks up where the other left off - It is a special thing to see. The venue is gorgeous in photos and even more so in person. We had local, out of state, and international guests and everyone had an amazing time. We had so many guests tell us it was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings they've been to. The ceremony at the gazebo was perfect since it was intimate and everyone had a view of the bride and groom. I definitely enjoyed Summit House as a wedding venue (as a guest) more than as a regular customer to the restaurant itself! The food is decent, but I think I really appreciate the outdoor views, the flexibility of being indoor/outdoor, and the space itself. It's beautiful and intimate. Would first like to thank Leanne and the staff for hosting our wedding, couldn't have gone any more perfect. The package deals at Summit House is great for its value and more importantly, the food is excellent and many variations were offered. Our wedding did not interfere with the other guests at the restaurant as they were able to divide all the spaces including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception hall areas. Our wedding was relatively on the smaller side with 88 guests and the reception hall had more than enough space to hold that many guests comfortably. Parking is plentiful and on the day of your wedding, they offer valet parking which makes it much easier for our guests. We had our wedding reception at the beautiful Grand Summit Ballroom at the Summit House Restaurant. We looked into several different wedding venues during our initial search, but Summit House was by far the best venue for the following reasons: 1) The venue is absolutely gorgeous. Everything from the views from the hilltop, the amazing patio area and amphitheater, and the stunning ballroom. There is plenty of parking for all guests, even with concurrent dinner service at the main restaurant. 2) They provided many amazing food, drink, and decor options for our event. All the offerings were amazing and the pricing was laid out to us in a very clear-cut manner with no surprising, hidden fees or upcharges. Our food tasting experience with Mark (manager) was awesome; they provided meals in full portions and presentations that you would expect for the actual event. There was so much food leftover that they kindly packed everything to-go for us to enjoy later! 3) The entire staff were really kind and patient throughout the whole process. Everyone - from LeeAnn, Christina, and Mark who handled the event planning, to Cris, Eddie & the rest of the staff who handled the day-of scheduling and assistance, were incredibly helpful and nice. LeeAnn & Christina were communicative and patiently answered the (many) questions we had. During the reception, Cris & Eddie were awesome in making sure that extra tables were set up, that we were on schedule, and that we had an enjoyable experience throughout the night. Summit House was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with our decision to host our ceremony and reception here. 1) The ceremony was hosted in the park/gazebo area. We love that seating was amphitheater style, so that there's no bad seat in the house. It's also Perfect for those who want to have an indoor/outdoor venue. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour outside, while our reception was inside. You also get an amazing scenic view! The venue is already beautiful, but it's also a great foundation if you want to elevate the space. 3) The food was delicious! Food was super important to us. And we were reassured at our tasting just how good the food was and would be enjoyed by our guests. It was honestly so hard to choose and narrow down our selection, but love that every table got the creamed corn and bread. But the prime rib is an absolute must. We went with the barramundi for our fish option, and the burrata pesto for the vegetarian. But everything from the drinks, the appetizers, and the main meal were enjoyed! We had so many guests tell us their favorites throughout the night. 4) The bridal suite was very spacious and we were able to fit the groom and groomsmen's portable coat rack in there. They also have a little fridge in there, as well. The only downside i would say is there is only a bridal suite, so my husband had to get ready in the restroom. 5) We had the pleasure of working with LeeAnn leading up to the wedding to get all our details organized. And the day of we worked with Eddy who was so thoughtful and checked in on us to make sure we had champagne, appetizers, and our meals served on time! I inquired about planning an event here because I loved their Gazebo and the park area next to the restaurant. Very disappointed in their event planning service, I was quickly dismissed and pretty much ghosted by LeeAnn because someone else had a wedding on the day I originally asked for. I communicated that I was willing to pick another day and pretty much got no response. I was honestly hoping to land this place for events in the future and eventually try their food because their Yelp reviews look so good. I had my wedding here in May 2021 and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. We first visited Summit House when we were looking for venues way back in 2018. Summit House was one of the only venues that treated us with respect even though we were just looking at the time. We met with LeeAnn and she gave us a tour of the grounds. After we got a tour, we went over the different packages they offered and left with a good idea of what a wedding here would look like. We quickly decided to book our wedding here. LeeAnn and the whole team was so accommodating during the entire planning process. I emailed several times with a list of questions and always received a thorough response. A few times, my husband and I requested in-person meetings because we felt like some questions we had were difficult to discuss over email. LeeAnn always found time to meet with us and we felt like our voices were heard. Because it's a restaurant, our food for the wedding came from the Summit House. We got to do a tasting luncheon with our family before the wedding to decide a menu. It was before the restaurant opened for dinner so we were the only patrons inside. It was a very lovely experience! As we approached our original wedding date (April 2020), Covid happened. We contacted Summit House and were able to put our wedding on hold until we felt comfortable booking a new date. When our new date was approaching and covid was not looking any better, we ended up postponing again. Again, they were very accommodating. They have several packages to choose from. We chose the windsor which was just below the all inclusive package. It included cake from an outside vendor. There were a few to choose from. We chose Patty's Cakes. They worked seamlessly together and we had no issues with ordering our cake. They offer an all inclusive package that includes many other vendors. While we didn't use that package, we asked for the list of vendors from it and chose several other vendors from that list. Every vendor that they recommended were high quality. Our rehearsal was a few days before the wedding. We were able to leave many of our decorations which alleviated some stress on the day of the actual wedding. The day of the wedding, everything went smoothly. the bridal suite was open all day, so I was able to get there very early and hang out. My husband got to hang out in the bar. The banquet room was set up beautifully. The lighting in the banquet hall is amazing, so bright during the day. The appetizers were a hit with the guests. We received so many comments from guests that this was the first wedding they went to where the food was good. It was such a wonderful experience. After looking into multiple wedding venues we decided upon Summit House Restaurant for the following reasons: 1) Close to home. We didn't want distance or driving to our wedding to be a pain in the butt for people. And Summit House was perfect in that most of our guests were from Orange County or LA. 2) Beautiful venue with outdoor ceremony & indoor reception. I loved their ceremony site with the gazebo & how guests would be sitting up on hill so they can witness our ceremony without any obstruction. Plus I wanted the reception to be inside due to weather concerns. 3) Reasonable Price. Honestly weddings are expensive but Summit House had very competitive pricing and was very reasonable. 4) Good food. Both my husband and I are foodies. Therefore, we did not want the food to suck... and the food at Summit House was amazing! On the day of our wedding the food tasted better than it did at our tasting. We were both very impressed. 5) Plenty of parking. Summit House has complimentary valet & self parking. My husband & I got married at the Summit House this past weekend, 1.19.19. Honestly, it was the best decision we ever made. So glad we went with them and not another place! Once we booked Summit House. Planning our wedding was like a breeze. LeeAnn and Mark answered all my questions regarding our wedding via email. They were quick to answer even the minor questions I had. Paying for venue was easy as well & they take CREDIT CARD!!! Score with the mileage points!!! Plus the tasting was an awesome experience for the family. It was like a meal with full plating of the dishes! Our families all enjoyed the experience! We decided to do the Tudor Package & Buffet. Tudor Package comes with chivari chairs plus 3 passed appetizers & champagne & wine served at the table. I think it's a great deal if your guests drink! For those that dont drink they had martinelli apple cider for our guests. My husband and I didn't get a chance to try their apps bc we had to take our wedding portraits but our guests said they were delicious! I went with the Buffet even though it was slightly more expensive bc I didn't want to worry about who's going to eat what & it was a good idea! People got to choose what they wanted to eat and not eat. Plus people were given the option to go get seconds if they wanted! My groom took advantage of that! Plus we had couple kids with severe allergies & Summit House made a separate plating of food for these kids and served them directly at the table. One the kid's mom praised Summit House for this and mentioned that it was the kid's first time trying green beans and that he loved it! Plus the groom and I got served with a plate full of everything from the buffet. I have heard of horror stories where the bride & groom doesn't even get to eat at their own wedding. This was not the case for us! We were so full from dinner!!! The hosted bar at our wedding was a nice touch! Some people were taking advantage of it but it still didn't even hit our budget of $2000 since there was champagne & wine being served at the table. The bar was nice at the end of night when people were dancing they could grab drinks as well. Our bartender was nice & even took some pictures for us. Lol :) Honestly, if you have your wedding at Summit House you do not need a wedding coordinator... unless you are REALLY bad at planning OR you dont want to plan. I am a planner & I planned everything from the day we got engaged up to our wedding day. But Summit House executed everything I wanted for our wedding on the day of since I personally wasn't able to. LeeAnn & Cristina made sure everything was set up the way I wanted on the day of while I was getting my hair & makeup done in their bridal suite. Mayra helped us with our wedding ceremony walk thru during rehearsal and on the day of. She made sure the ceremony flowed smoothly. Cristina made sure reception went as planned & made sure to feed us! :) Sam stayed thru out our reception and made sure everything ended nicely. There were so many people at Summit House who made sure that our wedding went well. For that they were wonderful! I knew on the day of that I could just let go and let them handle it! MAIN THINGS INCLUDED (see their package for more details): - Use of gazebo for ceremony - Food (appetizers, salad, main entrees) - Bar - Wedding cake - DJ - Florist - Dinner for two at the Summit House on your one-year anniversary WHAT IT DID NOT INCLUDE: - Photographer BACKGROUND: We had to cancel our original wedding due to COVID-19. We waited for months, but with the uncertainty of the pandemic, and not knowing when larger gatherings would be allowed, we decided that we wanted get married sooner rather than later and chose to have a micro wedding. Since we had already gone through months of preparation and had to cancel all of that, we wanted something with much less planning. This is where we stumbled upon the Summit House's everything-but-the-ring package. We only had 1 month to plan and got married in October 2020. Every couple has something different in mind for their special day, but here are the reasons why we loved the everything-but-the-ring package from Summit House so much and why it was perfect for us. PROS: 1. Coordination - Our coordinator was LeeAnn, and she was amazing!! With only 1 month to prepare, we had so many questions and she took the time to address all of our concerns. She was our coordinator but really held the role of a wedding planner. Her execution was flawless and she made everything seamless for us. We did not feel any stress and were able to enjoy our wedding. 2. Venue - The grounds are simply beautiful and elegant and the perfect background for stunning wedding pictures. Summit House is located on a hill, so there is a very nice view of the city. Because they have a park with a gazebo on the premises, you can have your ceremony and reception in one location, which is very convenient. 3. Food - It is so delicious and portions are generous. They allow for to-go boxes (some other venues would not allow) and will package the extra meals that were not used (the everything-but-the-ring package is for 30 guests and we only had 26, so we got to have the 4 extra meals). The package includes a wedding cake, but we wanted to have additional pastries. It was great that they also allowed us to bring extra desserts. Though we were not able to have a dessert bar due to COVID-19, they instead placed the desserts on each table. 4. Sparklers - Most venues that we had toured did not allow for sparklers so we were glad that there wasn't any issue with Summit House. 5. COVID-19 safety - Guests were seated by family unit for both ceremony and reception. We had tables of 2 or 4 that were socially distanced. Guests really enjoyed this setup. CONS: 1. No food tasting. However they have a Happy Hour on the hill Monday through Saturday from 5pm til sunset, and you are able to check out their cocktails and food. 2. They are not really setup for live streaming. They do have network and power outlets outside, so we brought our own WiFi router for a more stable connection and were able to do live streaming with the help of our DJ. We got so many compliments on how intimate and beautiful the wedding venue was, and how amazing LeeAnn was. It definitely was not the wedding that we had originally envisioned but we couldn't be happier about how things turned out! read more

A long overdue review, but I cannot recommend Summit House enough for weddings. I had helped plan several weddings being in friends and families bridal parties so I had a glimpse of what was involved at different venues. The team here and the packages offered made wedding planning so incredibly simple and stress free. I didn't have to coordinate and plan every last detail (i.e. food/catering, beverages/alcohol, table/chair rental, wedding planner, travel from ceremony site, etc.) like some of my friends did with barebones venues. Didn't have to worry about catering mishaps since it literally is a restaurant. The package prices I received were slightly higher than other venues which almost made me choose another location... thank goodness I didn't! The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and service you receive from them. I personally chose to book on a Friday to cut costs a bit and brought a grocery store sheet cake that they discreetly cut in the kitchen so no one knew it was Albertsons hahaha! The venue is obviously stunning, the wedding team is responsive and friendly, the food is to die for, it's perfect in every way and you absolutely should book with them if you are on the fence! read more

I'd like to begin by saying The Summit House is excellent for its food. No complaints there. As far as planning a Wedding, that's a different story..... I emailed LeeAnn. She informed me that the date I wanted was not available at the moment since we had a party of 50, we had to wait until the big ballroom booked, so they'd be able to accommodate us in the Queen room (smaller room) I asked if we could be informed once the ballroom was booked, then we can see if we could book the Queen room. I also asked if she could send the menu options so we could look over them. She never did. My fiancé called and spoke with Tiffany, she told my fiancé that the date we are interested in was fully booked and it had been for months. He asked if we could have the menu options sent so maybe we would consider a weekday instead. Still waiting for that. I got the feeling that since our wedding would be for 50 people, maybe that wasn't "big enough" for The Summit House, or maybe it could have been my last name. I'd hate to think that, but that's how I was made to feel by LeeAnn and Tiffany. They were not honest with us for reasons only they know. read more

My wife and I got married here a few weeks ago (6/8/2019) and all we can say is we wish we could give the Summit House more than five stars! It was absolutely stunning and blew away our expectations. It was perfect in every way. LeeAnn was a fabulous coordinator and answered all of our questions -- no matter how small. We were sold after the first visit. We ultimately chose the "Everything but the Ring" package. Our wedding was fairly large (135) and having an inclusive package helped everything run smoothly and saved us a lot of stress. The vendors on their preferred list were wonderful! The location was stunning, with gorgeous views. For food, we did a combo plate with prime rib and salmon, and it tasted phenomenal. The cream corn was in its own world! All of our guests commented afterwards how much they loved the food. Overall, it's hard to express how wonderful the Summit House was. From the second my husband & I saw the inside of the reception hall with gorgeous windows & that magnificent view outside, we knew it was the one. If you're looking for a venue with beautiful greenery, amazing views, & good food, this is it. Every single corner was a picture worthy shot. Next, LeAnn Collins was an actual doll with everything that she did to ensure us of having an awesome day. She answered all of our questions, emails, & was professional through our in person meeting. The food tasting was splendid & she was so sweet & helpful through it all. I truly loved her personality- perfect for the job. Not to mention the staff they had provided on the actual night itself. They were so very kind to us & respectful to the guests & family. They had everything planned out & was able to coordinate so smoothly throughout the night what we envisioned for our special day! Without even having to ask someone a question like "I think I set the sparkles here, do you know where they were put so we can have them ready?" The night of coordinators had already planned it all out & knew exactly where/how to do the sparkler send off. A true relief. My husband & me did not need to worry about a thing & they took care of literally everything. The servers were so professional & kind. It was a spectacular experience & I loved to see how it all worked so well. Everyone loved the dinner & cocktail hour! We had some really yummy options for the appetizers & everyone was so delighted by them all. Especially their famous steak spoons. All our guests thought it was a top notch 5 star meal. We to this day are still getting compliments about it & we had our wedding on May 1st haha. We had the filet mignon & jidori chicken. Yum yum! What an amazing venue! We were a little bit skeptical as wedding guests having to travel this far; however, you walk into another world at the Summit House. Yes, the venue shares property with the restaurant, but you do not notice! The outdoor private patio, and ballroom are amazing. It really is the perfect venue for a wedding. The views were gorgeous, the gazebo was perfect for an outdoor ceremony and the reception hall was stunning! The planning process went smoothly with the help of the Summit House team. I wish I can give Summit House more than 5 stars. From the perfect venue to the most wonderful staff, I was so happy to have decided on this venue for our big day! I've frequented Summit House Restaurant countless times as my family and I are huge fans of their prime rib. But I was never really aware of their wedding venue, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to go visit. When I saw the outdoor ceremony space and indoor reception hall, I fell in love, and knew this place was the one. I worked with Mark and LeeAnn throughout the many months of planning, and they were so informative, helpful, honest, kind, and so patient with our endless number of questions. They worked with us every single step of the way, and most importantly, they made sure EVERYTHING was perfect on the day-of. We got married 3 weeks ago (3/2/2019), and what I thought was going to be a disaster with the rain that day.. ended up turning into the wedding of my dreams. The wedding day team + our florists did everything to make our now indoor ceremony into something that went beyond my expectations. Plus it was cold that day, so I'm glad our wedding guests and we were able to stay warm indoors! The whole team was there from morning to night, working tirelessly, to make sure everything went perfectly for us. After our ceremony, my husband and I took some photos outside while the rain stopped. However, because the ground was obviously wet from the rain, the bottom of my dress was soaked. Before making our grand entrance, my bridesmaids were helping me dry my dress with some paper towels... but then one of the team members (so sad I don't remember her name), brought a large blow dryer and helped us dry my dress! And she then stayed and helped my matron of honor bustle up my dress as well. I was so speechless, and beyond grateful for her willingness to help, going out of her way numerous times to make sure I was taken care of. We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding at Summit House just a few weeks ago. After our first visit to the venue we knew it would be the perfect spot. The gazebo and park for the ceremony are absolutely stunning. Everything about the venue is beautiful, from the park and the reception ballroom, to the wonderful staff. We mostly worked with LeeAnn, who patiently helped us navigate through all the event decisions. Her and the rest of the team were responsive, accommodating, and had us leaving each meeting joyful and with a sense of accomplishment. Having eaten at the restaurant before and having had a tasting, we knew the food was going to be great but Chef Tim and his team delivered beyond our expectations. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I don't even know where to begin, so I'm going to spit out some of the highlights of why I would recommend them: 1. LeeAnn is very easy to work with. Always responsive, always sweet even when I can tell she was stressed from COVID, and on-time. When we had to postpone the wedding due to COVID, she and management team were super understanding and it made it easy for us. She brought up some things that we needed to consider for the wedding, which were super helpful. The only downside is that besides the day of, my husband and I had to put everything together (welcome signs, menu, because we didn't have another wedding planner. I could recommend Summit House to have a more inclusive checklist for bride and groom to work through, so nothing gets missed. 2. Summit House is very flexible and reasonable! We wanted a churro truck and a boba bar, so they allowed us to bring some of the outside vendors, free of cost. Also, because some of the guests only wanted to attend the ceremony due to COVID, we asked Summit House to prepare some take-outs for those guests, it was super easy!! Guests were very happy. Hassle-free! 3. The food is amazing!! I got so many compliments from our guests that the food was delicious. It is just as good as the restaurant, and they don't cheap out! It has only been 1.5 month since our wedding, and my husband and I already want to go back for our anniversary meal! 4. Service was amazing! Parking for our guests are easy. They made sure that they gave food to the bride and groom to the wedding, including the appetizers. Everyone always had a drink in their hands. They helped us clean up at the end of the wedding. 5. Location has a beautiful view. If you have a late afternoon wedding, it is very shady at the ceremony. They also have a room to get ready. Some of the venues that I visited didn't have a get ready room, so you would have to find somewhere else to get ready. 6. Very reasonably priced wedding!! read more

Having our wedding at the Summit House was truly a dream come true! They were the first venue that my husband and I went to go see and we knew from the start that the Summit House was special. We tried to go tour other venues but the peace that we felt at the Summit House was undeniable. Everyone loved the food, the gazebo, and the view! It's such a beautiful place to have your wedding that it doesn't need much to make it outstanding as it already is. LeeAnn was so helpful leading up to our wedding and we were so appreciative on how organized she is. The Summit House did have a different "Day of Coordinator" for the wedding, and they oversaw all the "behind the scenes". The Summit House was the perfect venue for our wedding on October 5, 2019. We were truly blessed to have found this venue. A friend of mine had gotten married there several years ago and I always remembered it being beautiful with great food. We were originally very excited about visiting an old speakeasy. However, since that venue was purely a blank canvas and everything would need to be brought in, we decided to also look at a venue where they offer packages and pretty much take care of the bulk of it for you. That is when the Summit House popped into my head...plus my dad often raved about the restaurant. Long story short, we visited the Summit House in the morning, immediately fell in love, called to cancel our appointment to tour the speakeasy that evening, came home and made the deposit. My husband and I instantly knew that we wouldn't want our wedding ceremony and reception to take place anywhere else. We went with the EBTR package and were referred to the most wonderful vendors. We seriously could not be more grateful for their vendor referrals and the vendor open house event they put on. We got married at the gazebo at Vista Park and our reception was at the Summit House. We cannot say thank you enough to LeeAnn and her team for helping make our dream day possible. They went above and beyond from our first meeting till after the wedding. I am an over thinker, planner, organizer, etc. so you could only imagine the amount of emails I had sent and times I went to visit the venue. Not once did they make me feel like I was annoying them. They were always so gracious in calming my nerves, answering my questions, and taking time to meet with me at the venue. LeeAnn and her team helped me out so much that I didn't even need a wedding planner. If you are looking for a venue, look no further. All of our guests had the kindest words to say about our wedding and it was in large part to everyone involved that made our dream wedding come true. Don't get me wrong the wedding venue at the Summit House is a beautiful site but I am very unhappy with LeeAnn and the associates there. I originally had planned for a wedding of about 100 people for October of 2020. We all know that plans have changed drastically for many people this year. First of all, I was not willing to put my family and friends at risk just to have a big wedding. Secondly, my fiancé and I moved to Oregon. Lastly, we ended up getting married in Oregon in a small 12 person event. I let LeeAnn know back in March of 2020 that I would like to cancel our event and get my deposit refunded to me. It has been a fight ever since. They will not refund the deposit although their contract is vague on whether or not the deposit is "non-refundable," basically it doesn't state that it is or isn't clearly enough. I brought this to the attention of the Summit House, got an attorney involved because $5,000 is a lot of money to just loose, especially during these tough times. They at one point said that they would "consider" refunding my money if they were able to book another event on that weekend. Is anyone really thinking that they haven't already booked another event? They are a wedding factory! The right thing to do is to refund the money to my family and me. To say the least I am very disappointed in their actions or lack of actions and will be moving forward legally. read more

We had my son's wedding at the Summit House in September. It was a wonderful experience from the get go! From getting information about the venue from the start, to the completion of the celebration , it was top notch. They made is so easy. The staff at the Summit House was so professional, polite, courteous, friendly, caring, accommodating and personable. They all definitely know what they are doing. The venue was beautiful, the view spectacular, the food fantastic, and the staff awesome. Mark, the event coordinator made is so easy from the start. He was wonderful. They really pampered and cared for my son and his new bride on their special day. They are , as they put it, "very protective of the couple". They made sure that my son and new daughter in law had food and beverages at all times, even when they were outside taking photos, as any couple seems to have no time for such during the wedding celebration. The Summit House gave us our dream wedding! Every aspect of the Summit House was beyond what we could have ever hoped for. The entire Summit House team was amazing from start to finish, but LeeAnn was truly the reason that we loved our special day. From the moment we stepped foot at the Summit House, we knew it was the perfect place for us. The location was beautiful, the views were spectacular, and their entire system was turn-key. We did not do the Everything But The Ring Package, but we still felt like everything was so streamlined.
