We held a weekend event and I must admit. The location is lovely with a fabulous outdoor seating area, and the historic building is charming and well-maintained. I appreciate the presence of a pool table and many spaces for engaging in pleasant conversations. The entrance is sophisticated and truly ideal for all kinds of events, whether small or large. Everyone was praising the venue. When it comes to parking, it's "AWESOME"! You can park right by the building for free, making it safe and convenient to leave. No need to cross the street, just walk over to the nearby parking structure. Great suggestion. The only issue I noticed was with the bathrooms - they need improvement. The guest bathrooms don't match the nice overall look of the place. Additionally, one of the doorknobs wasn't working properly, which compromised privacy. My suggestion is to install locks and replace the doors. My sister had to keep the door open for me because it wouldn't lock. read more

Nestled in Uptown Whittier, my hometown, I found the most perfect wedding venue. The Artisan has it all - it's intimate, the design aesthetic and ode to its history was perfectly subtle, the bride and groom suites are stunning. I wish I had the words to describe what this venue means to us. The best part about this venue is that it brought us to the Harmonious Events team. Working with Harmonious Events, we were able to curate the wedding of my dreams. We opted to go all in with full services provided by Harmonious. It was seriously the BEST decision we made. From the moment we had our first walk through, we knew we'd enjoy the planning process and even more importantly, not need to worry on our wedding day. The Artisan on its own is truly beautiful, I loved the "rooftop" feel of our cocktail area overlooking a green promenade off of Greenleaf, the staircases woven throughout the building and serving as a backdrop to our ceremony and reception, the cute little phone booth, the bride and groom suite tucked away and perfectly decorated and appointed with refreshments, the string lights, the breezeways, I could go on and on. Despite theses things that already make the Artisan beautiful on its own, the Harmonious team transformed the space with beautiful floral, runners down the staircase, providing farm tables, and an absolutely gorgeous sweetheart table arrangement. Our guests dined over a candlelight dinner, with colorful linens under twinkling string lights. Some of our guests said they felt like they weren't even in Whittier, that it felt like a night under the stars in Paris. The food was phenomenal, we opted for BBQ with mac and cheese, veggies, and salad following the yummy cocktail appetizers provided to our guests including grilled cheese tomato bisque dippers, cucumber hummus bites, and mini burger sliders. All of the Harmonious staff were amazing, I felt close to each person involved in making our wedding the most magical night. Our videography and photography team knew the venue so well, they captured so many perfect moments, and added to the fun entertainment we enjoyed on the dance floor. We danced the night away under the night sky, with the DJ bumping and the dance floor lights that Harmonious set up. The space felt truly transformed from the beautiful airy ceremony set-up just hours before. Our guests loved the bartenders and the delicious drinks concoctions they made like the whiskey raspberry smash or the infamous pepino shots that my family still raves about!!! Overall the night was one I will never forget. I was able to fully enjoy my wedding, with no worries, in the venue of my dreams! The best part is that I created life long friendships with everyone at Harmonious. So, to sum it all up, the Artisan is the perfect venue especially if you're looking for an intimate atmosphere. In 2017, my husband and I were looking for a wedding planner to take away the stress of the big day and went to Yelp, hoping we'd find someone. We messaged the Harmonious Events team, not expecting much of a response, but they responded quickly and were incredibly friendly, inviting us to their home. Prior to meeting, my husband and I talked, and agreed that we wouldn't rush into any decisions before meeting with other planners. That changed as soon as they opened their doors. They welcomed us with open arms; literally, they hugged us, they offered water and Starbucks coffee and made us feel less like strangers and more like family. They listened to every idea we had for the wedding throughout the meeting, and had solutions for everything we asked for the wedding. They worked with our budget and helped us come up with an incredibly reasonable payment plan. It made the entire planning experience incredibly easy and stress-free since we knew we were getting everything we wanted. We walked out knowing we didn't need to meet with anyone else. Over the next three years, the process blossomed into a friendship. We watched their family grow and seen their business evolve, yet their mindfulness of our questions never waivered. No matter the time of day, we could text them and have a question answered quickly. We had so many meetings, all accommodating around our school schedule. We found our gem of a venue tucked away in the heart of Uptown Whittier, and my husband and I knew immediately that this is the place where we had to say "I do." Everything about The Artisan took our breath away, from the exposed brick wall and black stairway, to the venue's urban industrial style, to the stringed lights and the fantastic patio deck. Yet, The Artisan has gotten only better with time, with hanging lights and a beautiful separate Groom and Bridal suite, filled with amenities by the Harmonious team like cold drinks, TVs, and Bluetooth speakers. Despite COVID, once my husband and I decided that no pandemic would stop us from finally getting married after 11 years together, the Harmonious team was ready and willing to be there for us. They made every possible decision to keep themselves and our family safe. Cass and the Harmonious team were there early in the morning, ready to decorate and set up for our big day. Cass is such a diligent worker that she pulled double duty that day, working as one of our photographers, and coordinating her team, while Gil worked for another couple that same day. Cass made sure to make me feel special that day by telling me beforehand that if there was anything that I needed, all I needed to do was text her, and she would be there for me. And the same goes for my husband, who said Cass or her team were always around in the Groom Suite and checking on him to make him feel comfortable. The moment finally came, and the ceremony was breathtaking. Every little detail that the team worked on was indeed an incredible sight. The floral arrangements that their team had for us were astonishing. They made boutonnieres for the guys, gorgeous bouquets for the ladies, corsages for the moms, and a magnificent wedding bouquet for myself. After the ceremony, the Harmonious team had a cocktail hour for our guests while she took my new husband and me around the venue to get some fantastic pictures. The food that day was sensational. The appetizers were great and the dinner was spectacular. The best part of the night was that the Harmonious staff made my husband and I our own special dish; we shared a tasteful pizza and fries, a staple of our relationship. The sweets table was such a delight; people enjoyed tasty doughnuts, cupcakes, and cake that were delectable. The bartenders worked so wonderfully that night and made sure our guests were satisfied. The DJ worked with us to make sure every musical detail was filled that night, from grand entrances, to garter tosses, bouquet tosses, and our first dance. At the end of the night, once all the guests had left, we stayed and chatted for almost two hours with the team. We talked about how beautiful the day was, how far we've come as friends, fun moments throughout the night. Every worker that day laughed and giggled with us. They all became family by the end of the night. Finally, I must say, choosing the Harmonious Events team will change your life. Every single person we've come in contact with on their team have been the most friendly people we've ever met. Aside from decorations, coordination, and the stress-free wedding day, the number one service you get with Harmonious Events is extraordinary hospitality, care and love. Instead of feeling like just another couple, you quickly become more than that. You become members of the extensive and loved, Harmonious family. I had my wedding ceremony and reception at The Artisan Building this past November. It was one of the easiest decisions I had to make for my wedding. As soon as I saw it, I had to get married there! This place is beautiful!!! It has such an industrial/urban look to it. All of my guests felt like we were spending an evening in DTLA! It's basically an all outdoor venue with the exception of the lobby and bathrooms. The lower area is my absolute favorite with the hanging lights above and the beautiful stairway and window backdrop. It is such a great spot for a small event. I had about 85ish guests and it was perfect. There are so many cute spots for pictures all around the building and I love that it's on a cute little street in uptown Whittier. read more

We had our wedding here this past weekend and loved everything about it. The courtyard is so spacious and picturesque. The architecture of the building is incredible. They had cornhole and connect 4 set up and the kids had a blast. The building gave us and our guests shade from the sun and the breeze was so nice as we partied into the evening. We celebrated our daughter's birthday here at the Artisan Building and it was absolutely beautiful!! The architecture and character of this venue needed such little decor because it was already a beauty in its own. I loved how accommodating and helpful the staff of Harmonious Events were from the beginning of planning to the final date of our event. It was definitely a memorable experience that not only my family enjoyed but for all our guests who were awed by this location. Make sure Harmonious Events has checked the City of Whittier calendar on your chosen date and hour. I attended a wedding at the Artisan Building, but couldn't hear the couple's vows or the officiate's words because the city was having an outdoor event at an adjacent lot with very loud music and a louder MC. Other than that, the food, flowers, DJ and staff were excellent, but the purpose of being there was a wedding ceremony. read more
