I stuck here for four years before I tried any other serious venues, and I still definitely have some nostalgic memories here. Back in the day, when I first started coming here, this place was really hopping. I remember most nights you could barely fit on the dance floor because it was so full, but you could also barely fit anywhere else because there were just as many people on the sides during any given song. I made a lot of friends there, some of whom are still good friends of mine today, and I learned a lot of my foundational swing dancing skills here. After about four years, I added a new place to my weekly excursions: Atomic Ballroom down in Irvine. Around the same time, Memories started dropping off, falling to as few as maybe a dozen people the whole night over the summer of '14, as opposed to the 100+ who used to show up. To this day, I'm not sure what caused that, but it eventually caused me to leave and look for other places to dance. In recent months, it has picked back up again. It still costs only $5 for admission (with water included, as opposed to when it was $3 but an extra dollar for water), and that's a big plus. They've also brought in some live musicians, which spices things up. It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't been and are looking for places to dance. Personally, I didn't feel connected anymore when I went back recently, and would rather stay more invested in the other places I dance now, which is why I can only give it 4 stars.

The staff was friendly and the bartender was awesome. The process of booking and making payments was easy. Considering how expensive venues can be, this was perfect and very affordable. The venue on the first floor is quaint with such a beautiful old vintage feel. The room already looks "dressed up" so your decor can be minimal. It was a true fairy tale party. We even had a red carpet at the entrance for our guests. I was scammed by a previous venue so I was hesitant about every venue I saw, but Mary made me feel calm. She understood my feelings and didn't pressure me. And as soon as she showed us the venue and all the services they provide we were sold. The venue is beautiful WITHOUT it being decorated. The bar is amazing. The d.j was amazing. Even the restrooms are very aesthetic (the kids were taking selfies in there, lol). Mary was there every step of the way. Any question/doubt or worry she was there to answer and reassure me that it was going to be ok. She was there the day of the party making sure I didn't have to worry about anything but having a great time. Jenny was AMAZING at making our vision come true. My daughter told her what she envisioned then told her to surprise us. It was BEYOND what we expected. When we did the reveal it was as if we were walking into a fairy tale story. The food was AMAZING. My daughter chose the birria and chicken alfredo. People were asking if a family member made the food. That meant a lot to me because it shows that they do everything as if it was for a family member and not just a business. I was happy to see her there the day of the party to make sure we were happy with the outcome. And Shafik sealed the deal for me. He was very understanding of my feelings because of what I had gone through. He was very patient and never pressured me. Shafik took the time the week before to meet with me and go over the contract and everything we had agreed on detail by detail. He even made suggestions on our original choice of table cloths to make it look better. He was also there the day of the party to welcome us. Did I mention that we planned the change of venue in a month and a half? And even THEN every detail was so thorough. It was a pleasure to work with Mary, Jenny and Shafik. They are very easy going people that make you feel like family and not just another customer. I highly recommend this venue. I don't have many pictures or videos because I was enjoying the party but here's a glimpse of our special day.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AT SALEH'S PALACE IN WHITTIER, CA!…read more My daughter's quinceañera took place on 9/25/26 at Saleh's Palace. What should have been one of the happiest days for our family turned into an experience filled with stress, problems, and disappointment. During the planning process, I worked with a party planner named Josué, who was supposed to help coordinate everything so the event would go smoothly. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. 1. SCREEN PROBLEMS & UNEXPECTED CHARGES I paid for four screens to display my daughter's video. Just days before the event, Josué informed me that I would only have two screens and that the owner would charge extra for the others, even though I had already paid for all four. Imagine the stress of having to resolve this just days before my daughter's quinceañera! I was also told shortly before the event that I needed to purchase cake plates. I ended up buying them because I was tired of arguing. 2. POOR ORGANIZATION & DISRESPECTFUL TREATMENT I arrived around 4:30 p.m., and my daughter needed to use the restroom while getting ready. A thin woman dressed in black, who identified herself as the owner's representative, treated me rudely and disrespectfully. Our event was scheduled from 5 p.m. to midnight, but the doors did not open until approximately 5:40 p.m. We lost nearly 40 minutes of our event. I had also prepared a seating chart. The day before, we were shown two tables that Josué said could accommodate 14 people each. We even saw them with 14 chairs. However, on the day of the event, each table had only 10 chairs, leaving some of my family members without seats. 3. FOOD PROBLEMS & HUMILIATING EXPERIENCE I paid for food for 230 people, with service scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Because the doors opened late and food was served late, around 6:30 p.m. I was already being told there was no more food and that guests had arrived late. Before my daughter's main dances even began, and before 7 p.m., I was told that additional plates would cost extra. Approximately 20 guests never showed up, and I had even brought pizzas for the children. Instead of enjoying this special moment, I was forced to deal with food problems in the middle of the celebration. It was extremely stressful and humiliating for me, my niece, and my sister. Rather than helping us resolve the situation, we felt as though we were being made fun of. 4. ADDITIONAL FOOD CHARGES The woman who identified herself as the owner's representative charged me more than $400 for additional plates, while Josué charged other family members another $180 for additional plates. This was extremely frustrating after I had already paid for food for 230 people. 5. TERRIBLE DRINK & APPETIZER SERVICE The chips and salsa I purchased for my guests were not served until approximately 9 p.m., even though I had brought them specifically for the party. I was told staff would help ensure drinks were available throughout the evening. Instead, they placed only one pitcher on each table. When I asked Josué to have sodas placed on the tables, he told me guests could go to the bar and ask for them. There was only ONE bartender serving approximately 230 people! 6. REMOVING DECORATIONS DURING MY DAUGHTER'S DANCES At approximately 7 p.m., while my daughter's special dances were taking place, waitresses had already started removing the bases for the centerpieces from the tables. The dances had just begun, yet staff were already taking decorations away from the setup we had paid for. This was incredibly disappointing and disrespectful to such an important moment. Planning a quinceañera takes time, effort, money, and excitement. As a mother, all I wanted was for my daughter to be happy and enjoy a day she would remember forever. Instead, I spent the celebration worrying about screens, buying additional supplies, dealing with seating issues, addressing food shortages, and facing unexpected charges. I did not pay for a venue to spend the entire party resolving problems that should have been handled professionally. What disappoints me most is that, in response to other reviews posted by my family, the owner has stated that he was not responsible for what happened. However, my experience took place inside his establishment and involved people who identified themselves as representatives of the venue. Research this venue carefully before booking, check for any lawsuits. Read reviews, ask questions in writing, and review your contract thoroughly. Make sure every service, screen, food quantity, seating arrangement, and beverage service is clearly documented. If you have concerns about legal disputes, research publicly available records rather than relying on verbal assurances. In my experience, the service and organization fell far below what I expected for such an important celebration. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VENUE. Pretty much everyone was complaining about her. There was also an issue with the drinks. She was giving guests a hard time about opening a different case of drinks because the first one wasn't finished. Like, what?! The alcohol was purchased and provided by the people throwing the party, so I don't understand why she was deciding what they could or couldn't open. The hall is nice and somewhat modern, but between how hot it was and the bartender's attitude, it definitely took away from the experience.
