The venue itself is beautiful, especially the outdoor patio--it gave guests plenty of room to roam and created a relaxed, open atmosphere during the ceremony. The venue provides bartending staff, catering vendors, and what appeared to be a party coordinator. While the catering was outstanding--the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and attentive, offering a variety of authentic Mexican dishes--the bartending experience left much to be desired. The bartenders came across as standoffish and unwelcoming, which discouraged many guests, including myself, from returning for another drink. The coordinator seemed a bit overwhelmed but was clearly making an effort to keep things on track and honor the wedding traditions. Overall, this is a nice venue with great potential. With more approachable and hospitable staff, the experience here could truly be exceptional.

The entire staff was so kind and attentive during our wedding. They made sure my husband and I were taken care of all night, brought us cocktails, checked in on us, and even sent us home with honeymoon treats afterward. Those little touches meant so much and made the whole experience feel really special. Arielle, our event specialist, was also incredible. She was so helpful throughout the entire planning process, always communicative, easy to reach whenever I had questions, and just made everything feel so much less stressful. She truly went above and beyond and played such a big part in making our wedding day as special as it was. We were also invited to Taste of Jay's, which was such a fun experience. It was an entire evening at one of their other venues where we got to try the different food options and get a better idea of what they offered before the wedding. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the planning process feel exciting instead of overwhelming. You can really tell this company cares about the people they work with and wants couples to have a great experience from beginning to end. I…read moreunderstand that we were a difficult couple, especially due to all the restrictions with COVID guidelines. But I was hoping for a little more than we got, especially from the staff. The venue itself is beautiful. I knew as soon as we walked in that my (then) fiancee would love the place and that we were done looking at venues. The high ceilings, chandeliers, brick and hardwood... the whole aesthetic was amazing. The catering staff (the catering company owns the venue, so if you want to get married at The Estate, you have to hire Jay's Catering) was really good, and they worked with us to individually package to-go meals for our guests since we couldn't in good conscience have all of our guests eating together. Now for the difficulties. As I said before, our wedding was during COVID-19, so we dealt with a number of restrictions. We were also a difficult couple to deal with because we had to keep changing plans as the government placed greater restrictions and/or eased restrictions. We needed to be talking to the venue and catering coordinators quite a bit, as we increased and decreased guest counts and talked through all the different precautions that needed to be made. Toward the beginning of our working with them, both coordinators (Jeanne and Sierra) were very communicative and prompt, but as time wore on (and our wedding day grew closer) we were having more and more difficulty getting a hold of them. There was a point fairly early on where we realized that if I (the groom) called or emailed, I would get a terse, sometimes unhelpful response in a day or three. However, if my fiancee (the bride) called or emailed, she would get a prompt response that answered all of her questions thoroughly. As a groom who wanted to be involved in our wedding process, it was particularly irritating to be sidelined like this. The sound system wasn't what I was expecting. I help out from time to time with audio at church, so I'm used to working with venue sound systems. The Estate's sound system was set up more like a home theater. There were a few inputs, but everything was running through a central receiver rather than through a sound board. Normally this wouldn't have been a problem, but since it was COVID season, we were livestreaming the ceremony. Their system was incapable of handling that complication, so we ended up paying the livestream company an additional fee to bring in their own sound equipment so that we could have sound for both the in person attendees as well as the livestream viewers. There's a small parking lot in the back that is shared by some nearby vendors, and we were told that we'd have the whole lot (about 35 spaces) for our guests to use. When we arrived on the morning of our wedding, we were told that we were able to use about 8 spaces because the venue coordinator hadn't reserved the parking lot. We were also supposed to have a curtain that divided the main room so that the bride wouldn't be seen too early. That curtain was nowhere to be seen. After a lot of running around and numerous phone calls, our wedding coordinator discovered that the curtain had been used at a different venue the previous day (the catering company owns multiple venues) and wasn't returned. Our coordinator was able to find a spare curtain that was much smaller, but got the job done, but the whole situation left us feeling rather disappointed. So all in all, we were happy with the way things ended up looking, but there were several little things that added up to a large amount of unnecessary frustration.

LeeAnn was such a pleasure to work with and her organization made planning a breeze. She and Christina were so helpful answering our many questions and sending follow ups for next steps. We went with their "Everything but the Ring" package because we wanted the convenience of an all- inclusive, plus we thought it was a great value for a SoCal wedding. We got to choose from their preferred vendor list and there were a good amount of options (photography, floral, bakery, DJ). The menu tasting was delicious and LeeAnn once again made the experience enjoyable. The day of our wedding was rather stress free! Vendors arrived on time, and Banquet captains Chris and Sam ran the event smoothly and were so professional and thoughtful. They made us feel like VIPs. Our guests later complimented that it was the best wedding food they've had and that the venue was beautiful. We highly recommend Summit House as a wedding venue!

While this is a lovely venue, I can't say much about the food being served. I opted for the meat but no one asked for preference of how I or anyone at or table, would like it cooled. We all received raw and bloody meat. Out of politeness, I didn't send it back but ate the bland mashed potatoes and 2 vegetables it came with , but some guests at my table sent it and the meat came back burned. Legitimately, nothing was edible which was unfortunate but maybe the restaurant can take note of this nasty looking meat they served.

But what made Exy so special to us is that she never felt like just our coordinator. She became family. The way she cared for us, our families, and everyone around us went far beyond what we could have ever expected. She was so attentive to our families and made sure everyone felt comfortable, cared for, and included. Even my dad, who was able to see firsthand how much she did for us that day, kept saying, "That woman is just amazing. She was incredible. She was part of our family." They kept all of our appointments and paperwork organized and didn't hesitate to explain things further if we needed. We did the Signature package, and it was worth every penny. The venue speaks for itself. It is so beautiful and offers a homey feel with plenty of greenery. We had minimal decor as the venue is completely capable of being the star of your decor. The food selections are amazing; we got so many compliments from our guests on the food we served. Our bartender (so sorry we forgot her name) was the best; she made tasty drinks and was friendly to all of our guests. Our DJ, Rigo, was a pleasure to work with. We had a last-minute change due to our music vendor, and he was able to fill the time with the perfect playlist.
