Cute little gallery right by the mall. I live 20min away and have been going to the Brea Mall for years! Had no idea this place existed until recently. Admission is $3 for adults. Free for Brea residents. It's spacious and clean. Current exhibit, pure unadulterated fun, displays a lot of art inspired by the 90s and the Lisa Frank era. There is a spotify playlist that goes with it too. Fun way to spend an hour.

Professionally staffed and managed---located close Brea Police Department. Despite warnings no headless horseman here at the time of this review. During my visit music was playing as I walked in. Viewed artwork, talked to the artist (on-site)and photographed on the floor and in a standing position. Here all the lights were on and awards were given to exceptional artists. Brea Art Gallery left a "Je Ne Sais Quoi" feel on my lingual fibrous septum. Visit!

What an interesting Gallery. They have a lot of different art pieces in the front window. Once you go in there is a lot more to view. You may have to check the hours because I am not sure of the hours they are open. I walked in and it was real quiet. They had an abundance of art to view. I walked around and took in the art. It was all so cool! I asked if they change out the art a lot. The person working there said they do change the art a lot depending on the season. Let me tell you, the art here is cool. I would recommend visiting this art center and see all the neat art they have displayed. You will be amazed!! The parking is good in the underground parking lot. Easy up the elevator to the 1st floor and it is right there. Have a great time!!

I would never have known this art gallery existed, had I not been surfing Yelp for museums in Brea, and then this popped up. The fact that it's around the corner from the Brea mall, right next to the Embassy Suites, parking is FREE in the parking structure below it, and admission to the gallery is ONLY 3 bucks for non-Brea residents; I was inspired to check it out, since I am in Brea a lot anyway. The current exhibition taking place (until June 30, 2017) is MADE in CALIFORNIA featuring the works of Carlos Beltran Arechiga. The gallery is small, but has enough art to match it's $3 admission. Maybe they should even charge $5 or $6 in the future. From the outside, you can see a good portion of the exhibition through the glass windows, but I didn't let that deter me. Paintings, framed photographs, and art displays adorn the walls. There was an even an artist painting live, on the day we visited. But since he was just setting up, we didn't get to see his work. Also, it doesn't take very long to do a tour of this space, I advise still, take your time. Art should be absorbed not rushed. They have a tiny gift shop by the entrance too. If you're looking for something uncommon to do in Brea, make your way to this adorable art gallery. Would I return for future exhibits? Surely!

The 2016 City of Brea Art Gallery "Made in California" was a huge success. Over one thousand California artists submitted entries and eighty-six were chosen. Over one thousand people attended the opening night show. The staff, especially Christina and Helen, were fabulous in setting up the show and terrific in packaging the art works to be returned to the artists. I was very impressed by the artists in the show, so much so, that I purchased a modern portrait painting. As a female painter, I wish to support other female artists, as I feel that often woman do not get the recognition they deserve in the largely male-dominated art world. By supporting and empowering other women, we can build a community of artists that will help women reach higher levels of recognition and achieve their goals with the same level of acceptance, opportunity, and income as their male counterparts.

Truth be told, I was not initially awe struck about the idea of seeing art by Dr. Seuss. To that extent, I was still interested. I could not expect the experience I was about to encounter. Upon entering the gallery, the rare unorthodox taxidermy mountings were hilarious. They were colorful and gracefully obnoxious. I had no idea Dr. Seuss also created these types of figures. Although the mountings are replicas, they are created using original molds. The original mountings are made of paper mâché and obviously super fragile and rare. The mountings on display ranged from a couple of thousand to several. As I continued through the gallery, I immediately recognized several of Dr. Seuss's classic stories and characters, such as the Cat in Hat. I was transported back to my youth and remembered positive experiences reading with my parents. I was shocked to realize the impact this complex artist and author actually had on me. I found several lithographs that were affordable, but it was difficult to choose. The Sarah Bain staff was extremely helpful and knowledgable. Daniel provided interesting information and immediately emailed artwork dimension sizes to me. If ever in downtown Brea, you must stop at Sarah Bain Gallery and take a look......it's free!

I wasn't sure if this was still happening!…read more I had to find out if it was. This art walk at downtown Fullerton is indeed still an active event. The downtown Fullerton art walk happens on the first Friday of every month. This happens all year round. It seems like the event was more popular maybe pre-covid? Not too sure. You can walk around downtown, and you will see signs put out for the businesses that are participating. It seems like the hours vary depending on the business. So, some were closed when we went. It may be a good idea to go during the day, so you can hit all of the places before they close. We got to see some art. It was cool. It's always fun exploring downtown Fullerton! Not bad for a free event. It's not something you have to run to go do. It was alright for what it is. A free event to do on a Friday, once a month lol

It was cool how everything was gathered in one place and there was a lot of festivities: photobooth, live music, food trucks, beer and wine garden, arts and crafts booth for kids, etc. The museum gift shop was also open to browse. Great atmosphere and nice to walk around, though I didn't really get involved too much with the booths. I was there mostly to browse and soak in the atmosphere. And to get grub from the food trucks, haha. The gathering was a lot smaller than I thought and I was expecting to see a lot more, but it's ok. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Parking was a breeze since they were set up right next to a couple of free public parking garages. All in all, the event provided some great atmosphere, but I'm not sure if a normal Artwalk would be for me. I suppose if I had nothing better to do on a Friday night and wanted to soak in some local art, I'd go again.
