Janet and Kes were AMAZING! Best horror escape room I have ever been to. Hiding under blankets, getting tazed and screaming and running. 10/10 experience HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Without giving away too much, I can say it was a plot twist that I didn't expect! I'm not someone who likes escape rooms or horror themed events, but I enjoy trying new experiences so I went with friends who like horror themed immersive experiences. I didn't realize the cast would be paying attention to us participants from arrival time because once I learned there would be contact I expressed my dissatisfaction, as I don't want to be touched. I'm guessing they heard me and respected that because no one touched me and I had a great experience. My more hands-on friends got their desired experiences and they too had a great time! LJ, Jana and Wren did a great job! Note that you will need to be mobile and comfortable with tight spaces and being in the dark.

Honestly the entire experience was great! If you're a horror fan you'd really enjoy this! I 100% recommend doing the extreme!!! LJ, James, and Jana were overall great!!! James was absolutely amazing!!! I got my scare for the week.

Went there with a group of 7 and had a blast! Really love the atmosphere and the vibes and how they made us scared at the same time. Shout out to Jana, Kes and LJ! Especially LJ his acting from the beginning is top tier!!! The way he presented himself and the story. Loveee it!!!

Absolutely Terrifying Fun - A Must-Try for Horror Fans in South OC! As a huge fan of the paranormal and all things horror (Project Fear on YouTube is my jam!), this experience was everything I hoped for and more. Ghost Hunters by The Escape Room Era is one of the most thrilling horror experiences I've done -- and trust me, I've done a lot. The story is immersive and creepy: you're brought in to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a previous team of ghost hunters, and from the moment you arrive, the tension kicks in. We went with a group of 4 (though it fits up to 12), and it definitely tested our fear levels. If you've got some scaredy cats in your crew, make sure to bring a few brave souls to keep the energy balanced . The experience is still new, and while it's already a blast, I think with a bit more investment into upgraded props, tech, and set design, it could be next-level phenomenal. I've also done the Weeping Witch escape room, and if Ghost Hunters received that same level of investment in props and technology, they would absolutely kill it in the horror experience industry. The concept, the live actors, and the potential are all there -- it just needs that extra push in production value to make it truly elite. What really stood out was how real it felt -- I honestly felt like I was part of the Project Fear crew, investigating an actual haunted location. The live actors (huge shoutout to Gaige, Jacob, and Sawyer) absolutely killed it -- their energy and commitment made everything 10x more intense and fun. As someone born and raised in South Orange County, I was so excited to find something this good right here by home. Usually I have to drive far for quality horror experiences, so this was a total win. If you're into immersive scares, paranormal vibes, and creepy investigations -- Ghost Hunters is absolutely worth trying. Can't wait to see how it grows... I'll definitely be back as they said they change up the story line for Halloween

What a great time! This is by far the best escape room/immersive experience I have ever gone to. I cannot recommend this place enough. Kes and Jana were an absolute delight and amazing the entire time. I cannot wait to come back!

    creepy mannequin room!

We have had Hijinx at Joffre Manor at Nerdy by Nature Escape Rooms on our to-do list for a while…read more We finally went and did it with another couple. This is a Scooby-Doo inspired escape room with a secondary "whodunit" murder theme. We were greeted by our game-master Theresa who was very friendly and energetic. I won't give it away, but this room has one of the coolest starts. It has to do with how and where you watch the introductory video before beginning the actual room. We all loved it and it sets up the adventure perfectly. Everybody gets a flashlight for the first part which is dimly lit but not dark. The garden area in front of the manor and the interior are both decorated in an amazingly immersive way. The interior is not a physically large space, but it feels huge. They did a great job of putting a lot of different areas, rooms, and floors in an area that is not big as it seems. There is a great variety of puzzle types including locks, keys, mechanical puzzles, physical puzzles, and some other unique puzzles. Various sound effects play in the background, and a chime goes off every 15 minutes to help you keep track of time. At least one person in your group will have to do some stair climbing in more than one place, and do one other light physical activity. A group of four was perfect for this room. We are all pretty experienced, and split up at times. The puzzles are not overly difficult, but there are a lot. Everything flowed very well, and we all got into a great grove. For the first time in a while, we didn't need any clues and finished with twelve minutes left. Once you've solved all the puzzles and gathered all the clues about who the murderer is, you have to identify which of the three suspects it is to finally escape. You can make multiple guesses, and it was a good final brain teaser to complete an excellent room. We had a lot of fun doing this one, and it was definitely one of our favorites out of the nearly 60 escape rooms we've done. They have one other easier pirate themed room, and a third room is set to open soon.

The game guides and staff were very friendly and fun and really sold the whole experience! I'd say that while the use of the space was creative, it definitely made the place feel very cramped. The scale change from downstairs to upstairs rooms was rough and the slide left most of my party pointing at me to make the plunge. If something could be changed it would be the reality and conclusion. I think playing a little more into a realistic whodunnit instead of a campy goofy one would add more desire to reach a correct outcome which by the end I was just saying names because nothing really stood out as THE answer.

I had an amazing first time experience at Escape Room 66 and I cannot wait to come back again soon…read more I forgot our escape room host's name, but her initials started with a K and she was an absolute sweetheart. She didn't rush us out at all (as some escape room places do), she was extremely patient and kind, and she went over all of the clues that we didn't get to solve when our timer ended. My boyfriend and I spontaneously booked "The Doghouse" and I believe I spoke with her on the phone as well before booking and she was just as sweet as she was in person. I absolutely loved the creativity and complexity of the puzzles and the room/props were of high quality (and not old or overused like some places, lol). Her customer service was definitely top notch - my boyfriend definitely made sure to tip her, lol. Will definitely be back again to solve another room soon!!! This room does start you off blind folded and in separate rooms, but you quickly reunite to solve the rest together. Nothing was overwhelming or too difficult in this 8/10 room. Funny enough, it felt similar to classic video game puzzles, like ones you'd find in Legend of Zelda. Even though it was my first experience, that familiarity totally sucked me in and I was hooked. Our family visits escape rooms regularly and has done enough of them to understand the rules,…read moreetiquette, and the importance of protecting a room's puzzles and intellectual property. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences we've had. We booked this room as part of our Father's Day celebration and spent over $200 for our family of five. During the game, the operator abruptly entered the room and informed us we were being removed for taking photos. He stated that he had warned us multiple times over the microphone, but none of us heard a single warning. Had we heard even one warning, we would have immediately stopped. In fact, my son works at an escape room and is very familiar with industry expectations and the reasons behind them. We are not the type of customers who intentionally break rules. What was most frustrating was not the rule itself. If a business has a strict no-photo policy, that's completely understandable. The problem was the complete lack of willingness to consider that their communication system may not have been heard. When we explained that nobody in our group heard any warning, the conversation quickly became about defending the decision rather than trying to understand what happened. The result was that our Father's Day outing ended with our family being escorted out, confused, embarrassed, and upset. My daughters were nearly in tears because they felt like they were being treated as if they had done something intentionally wrong. Mistakes and misunderstandings happen. What separates great businesses from poor ones is how they handle them. A simple conversation, a chance to correct the behavior, or even a willingness to investigate whether the warnings were actually audible would have gone a long way. Instead, we left feeling that customer experience was secondary to enforcing a policy. I rarely leave negative reviews and generally prefer to support local businesses. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this experience.
