I was in the area and decided to come with a friend and try this place out! Parking is limited, we were lucky and someone was leaving so we snagged a spot. But, depending on when you go, you might need to do a few laps around the block to find a spot. When we went, it wasn't super crowded. There are so many photo booth options. You line up for the photo booth that you desire. Maybe max 2-3 groups in front of us, but it goes by so fast. I would say max 5 min wait per booth. They have digital booths which print instantly and have a QR code so you can save the pictures digitally. And they have vintage booths which take 2-5 minutes to print and there is no digital copy. Be prepared! Once you pay, it takes your pictures so quick. Each booth also has a slot for you to put your phone to record. The people managing the place were nice. A cute little spot near The Camp in Costa Mesa! It's essentially a giant room with a variety of photo booths along the inside walls. There's both black-and-white photo booths and a selection of colored ones with fun backdrops. The procedure is pretty standard: tap your phone/card to pay for the booth and get ready to snap some pictures! It helps to adjust the seat inside and maybe practice some poses (I'm admittedly not the most creative with posing, haha). It's $5 per photo strip, and you get 4 poses. The colored ones come out horizontal, and the B&W ones are vertical. They all take some time to develop before the machine spits them out. The B&W ones take a little longer so it might feel a bit awkward waiting around for it, but it helps to go and try out some of the other booths. I didn't know this place existed until I went to the camp and I explored the backside of Ahba. Booth by Bryant used to be a pop-up single Photo Booth @ the Lab couple months ago and now they have a permanent space at the camp. The line was not too long on a weekend morning, with two people working in the front. There are a vintage black-and-white option or colorful option. There are many backdrops to choose from. The process is super simple. You either pay with card or tap with Apple Pay. The only thing is after you pay you have to sit immediately after because they will start taking pictures of you. It takes a total of four flashes without warning so in between the shots is about five seconds. Make sure you know which facial expressions and poses you were going to do. If you're prepared, you will be successful. The photos take about 3 to 5 minutes to come out, but it feels like forever. But I guess that's the beauty of the Photo Booth. :) read more

There is a worker at the entry who will also explain to you how the photo booths work. I came for the black and white photos with my friends and they are $5 each with 4 poses you can do. When you swipe your card the picture taking does go fast where you have about 3-4 seconds to change poses or swap in and out if you're with multiple people and want to do different solo or together poses. The price is definitely cheaper compared to the SF photobooths. At $5/strip for the vintage looking ones with a plain, heart, or star background. $10 for color ones. 4 poses per strip I think they do a great job with crowd control, not making the space inside feel too packed. The employee who was working did a great job explaining the process (since it was my first time) about adjusting the height on the stool, making sure you're in the frame by seeing your reflection, and giving us a warning on how quickly the photos get taken. My issue is that people are hogging the booths waiting for their pictures to come out not realizing the booths can be used once the green light is on. They just sit on the stool instead of allowing others to use it and I know this because the curtains aren't even closed for privacy. Realistically it should only take 30-60 seconds to get the photos taken but what takes so long is the developing process. What I did was take a photo at one booth then when another booth opened up took photos there, etc. and then went back to the first booth in 3 mins once they were done printing. That way I'm not wasting my time standing and waiting. Efficient use of my time. It's great that they have Apple Pay and a holder for the phone. For $5 a strip, you get 4 photos and you can choose between a plain curtain background or a fun star print. Super cute and sentimental! When they first opened, I heard lines were insane (3-5 hours)! I had hopes that visiting a few months later would help the wait time, but we ended up waiting for 1 hr at 9PM on a Saturday night. Not exactly ideal, but the photos were too cute! Would say that it was semi-worth it. Inside the little room, there are couches for you to lounge on as you wait for your photos to develop (takes about ~3 minutes), mood lighting, mirrors, and bumping EDM music. It was definitely giving club vibes. In the future, I really hope they add a second booth to this location to help the wait time.
