My daughter who was 9 needed help since done items is a bit too high for her to grab alone, luckily there was a stool she was able to use to grab some items. Her friends who she came with were 2 years older, 5th grader were able to bake majority everything by themselves by reading the instructions on iPad alone. When we got there, we were the 2nd group after a couple that looks like they are on a date. After checking in and letting the associates know which cake selections the girls wanted to make. We were assigned tables and given a basket to put out belongings in the basket to be placed under the table. An apron with a timer and an iPad for instructions of what cake we were making. We Made the Lychee Peach Cream Pie, not overly sweet & pretty yum! Pie crust wasn't soggy the next day. Loved it. Associate Lily & Chloe was really informative. Showed and pointed out where each area is at. The iPad was easy to follow directions on baking steps one by one. It's a clean and really cute nice atmosphere. This is a cool activity that I would possibly return for future events, like a mama daughter date, date night and even just because, like a re~ group activity. Memorable activity to do with the girls or a date. My friend booked this experience for us on a Sunday morning. The store opens at 10 AM and there was plenty of parking. The staff members give you time to pick which dessert you'd like to make. My friend and I made one dessert together. There is a maximum of 2 people making 1 dessert with an additional entry fee for the 2nd person ($8 on weekdays, $11 on holidays). We baked the Peach Lychee Cream Cheese Pie together since it needed a bit of artistic skills. I'd definitely come back to make other desserts since they all sound delicious! The estimated time to complete baking was exactly 2 hours. The staff went over the rules before we began. The ovens are managed by the staff, but we keep track of our own bake time. Each oven is assigned with the number on our timer. There was a basket to put our things in, aprons to keep our clothes clean, and a small coffee station if we needed a drink while making our dessert. Instructions were given to us on an iPad with written and video instructions. It was very easy to follow along. All of the ingredients and baking tools are provided. I enjoyed baking something new, creating memories, and tasting the dessert afterwards. Overall, this experience was worth it considering some fancy cakes can cost over $50 and I used baking tools and ingredients I don't have at home. There's also the bonus of not having to clean the baking tools afterwards. The dessert tasted great as well! The lychee cream cheese was delicious with the peach slices, but the pie crust was the best part. read more
