For this price, I expected artisanal craftsmanship, not a collection of plastic balls and paper toppers. I am going to kick off 2025 with my first review on Ji's bakery. To provide some context, I organized a SURPRISE birthday party for my wife with a custom cake. The biggest concern is that my wife can read me like a text book so I didn't think I can pull it off. But I did it!!! Please note that I had Ji's Cake boutique bookmarked for quite some time. We then communicated pretty much via text messages about the design and options. I asked her if she can come up with an Hermes like cake, which I am attaching a picture. The flavors available are: strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. Ji mentioned that the best seller is the strawberry flavor so that's what I went with. Honestly, I had my doubts because most of the time you hear that custom cakes would look good but does not taste great. But in this case, I can vouch that the design of the cake is amazing and the cake tasted fantastic. My wife is super detail oriented and even she was mightily impressed with both the design and taste of the cake. This is absolutely a work of art!!! By the way, Ji was able to deliver the cake and I was able to pay her via Zelle. I also gave her more than a week noticed.
