We had a great experience baking here after reserving in advance. They allowed a max of 3 people per item so we decided to work together on one cake instead of each person doing their own separate recipes. They charged an additional $11 entry fee for each extra person on top of the cake fee though since we shared. Everything was clearly labeled and they gave us an ipad with step by step instructions that was our only source of guidance throughout. The videos helped provide visuals and there was a return section for used tools so you didn't need to wash things yourself which was nice. Overall, even though we were beginners and chose an advanced design, we ended up spending the estimated 2.5 hours and our cake turned out tasting good though it might not have looked the best. We had a lot of fun baking together though and would do it again!
What a fun activity to do with your friends or family. We got all the ingredients there. The menu has so many cakes you can choose from. We spent 2.5hr making the cake as a group of 3. Each extra person has to pay $11 on top of how much the cake is. I definitely would come back for another group event. I wouldn't do one cake per person because it's not fun that way.

If you've never been, it's a self-service baking studio where they provide literally everything--pre-measured ingredients, heavy-duty mixers, ovens, tools, and fancy packaging. When you check in, you pick what project you want to bake (they have everything from simple cookies to intricate multi-tiered cakes). Each station comes equipped with an iPad that walks you through step-by-step video instructions. It's super self-paced, so you can rewatch steps as many times as you need without feeling rushed.
I went to Home Baking Day not really knowing what to expect, but omg, it was so much fun! My boyfriend and I came here for a date, and we had such a great time. Making the reservation was super easy, and from the beginning, we got to choose a cake from a list based on the difficulty level: beginner, intermediate, or advanced. We picked the matcha cheesecake, and honestly, our final product looked so professional! I still can't believe we made it ourselves haha. It was pretty packed on the weekend, with lots of families bringing their kids for a fun baking experience, but the atmosphere was really fun and lively. And the cake itself was actually really good! It wasn't too sweet, which I loved. The matcha cheesecake was delicious. Such a cute and unique date idea. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something fun to do as a couple or with family. I'd definitely come back!
such a cute and fun experience! i made the mango passion fruit cake and it turned out so good. the cake was light, fruity, and not too sweet, and i loved the mango and passion fruit flavor together they provide all the ingredients, tools, and recipes you need, which makes the whole experience super easy and beginner friendly. another huge plus is that they take care of the cleaning afterward, so you can just enjoy baking and decorating your cake such a fun spot for a date or girls' day. would definitely come back and try another cake!

Such a fun experience! There's a bunch of different cakes / bakery items you can choose to make. I have never baked, and it was an easy experience.
Great place to do some baking for beginners and there is no hassle of cleaning dirty dishes afterwards. It does get chaotic in the very beginning of the reservation time since everyone is crowded near the ingredients. Other than that it's pretty easy to follow the tablet for directions. Knocked a star down because half the staff look like they don't want to be there. If you ask a question they just stare and look at you like the answer is obvious before answering.
Review 31/365 Day challenge Came here for a Birthday putting celebration for Harper's friend, Kiera's 11th bday 2.07.26 Pretty cool concept, learning how to bake your own cake/dessert. My daughter who was 9 needed help since done items is a bit too high for her to grab alone, luckily there was a stool she was able to use to grab some items. Her friends who she came with were 2 years older, 5th grader were able to bake majority everything by themselves by reading the instructions on iPad alone. When we got there, we were the 2nd group after a couple that looks like they are on a date. After checking in and letting the associates know which cake selections the girls wanted to make. We were assigned tables and given a basket to put out belongings in the basket to be placed under the table. An apron with a timer and an iPad for instructions of what cake we were making. We Made the Lychee Peach Cream Pie, not overly sweet & pretty yum! Pie crust wasn't soggy the next day. Loved it. Associate Lily & Chloe was really informative. Showed and pointed out where each area is at. The iPad was easy to follow directions on baking steps one by one. It's a clean and really cute nice atmosphere. This is a cool activity that I would possibly return for future events, like a mama daughter date, date night and even just because, like a re~ group activity. Lots of friends group came with their boyfriends/dates along w their group of friends. Everyone enjoyed a great time and was hands on. Located in the Culver Plaza. Lots of parking available and it's located right next to a Bank and across from "Nice to meet you, hot pot" restaurant.

This was such a fun experience! The check in process was very easy and the staff was super friendly gave us great recommendations. Staff does a really great job keeping the stations clean for the next person to use. They have tablets that provide the ingredients, + weights with step by step instructions. Overall really great activity to try out with friends and family!
I've been to homebaking day twice now and it's such a cute & fun activity to do with anyone! My bf & I made a peach oolong cake and the whole process was so easy to follow with the IPad, I felt like I was in a cooking mama game lol. I like how everything is so organized and aesthetic. Not sure how the cake will taste but have high hopes! I love the various asian flavors. 10/10 recommend :) The only downside of the visit was that it is pretty pricey for the size of the cakes, and the employees were not that friendly haha. They seemed really tired / overstimulated but I didn't get the energy and customer service that would've made the experience a lot better x

My friends brought me here last year, and I've already come back twice since! The cake and other dessert options are so adorable, with each of them tasting very sweet and delicious! I've made the mango chiffon cake, the honey banana cake, and the tiramisu. I also got to try the tiramisu roll cake and the oreo layer cake because the rest of my party baked those :) I haven't gotten to try the cookies or donuts, because the cakes seem the most proportional to the high cost They give you a tablet with all of the ingredients and instructions, which is relatively simple to follow. You have a lot of freedom to decorate at the end. The first two times I came, the employees were super enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful! The most recent time, they were still nice, but it was hard to get their attention for assistance (even though this time was the least busiest day by far) Everything is clean, from the utensils to the kitchen tools to the tabletops! Even the restroom. They offer complimentary coffee for the duration of your reservation. The only concern is the extremely expensive price, but the experience is worth it! read more

This is a DIY baking studio where you can make a dessert of your choice & all the ingredients/supplies are there for you! There's no experience needed and plus, you don't have to do the dishes which makes this place a perfect activity/date spot! I chose to do the Capybara Lakeside Cheesecake ($77), which is essentially a matcha cheesecake on biscuit. Taste wise is decent, but highly recommend for the fun experience. You follow step by step instructions on a tablet and employees are there to help you if needed. There's complimentary water, coffee, and a restroom inside. read more
This was my second time here and I had a blast! Between the four of us, we made two cakes (it's max two people per cake, and they charge $11 for the second person). We booked a 5:30 PM reservation on a Saturday, which meant we could only choose cakes that take under 2 hours to make. We ended up going with the peach oolong cake and the matcha no-bake cheesecake. Honestly, it took us less than two hours--everything was well-organized, the instructions were super clear, and all the ingredients and tools were ready to go. The space is spacious, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Such a fun experience and a great activity for team bonding or date night! I've been twice in the past 3 months, each time bringing one of my kids. The first time, my 8yo daughter and I went and made an intermediate cake. She loved it and I loved how easy it was. She needed some help with steps but overall it was doable and we brought home a cute cake. The second time I went with my 12yo son and he was pretty much able to make the entire intermediate cake by himself. He thought it was fun and liked how the cake tasted. He wants to go back and try a hard recipe. Overall, great way to spend quality time (2-3hrs) with something to show at the end. However, it's really expensive. For 2 people, it's pretty much $100, since you have to pay for a sitting fee for every additional person (which sucks because they aren't even making or using any extra ingredients). read more

The concept of this business is brilliant and it's so much fun as a customer. You get to choose the cake you want to bake from a selection of over 40 cakes including a constantly rotating seasonal menu. Theoretically, you could come back here that many times or more just to finish the menu. We chose the Strawberry Cocoa Honey Chiffon cake from the Strawberrylicious seasonal menu because of the adorable face that it had. The cake prices and approximate baking time are listed for each cake along with the difficulty level. The worker handed us a tablet with directions and a step-by-step video tutorial and gave us a tour of all of the materials before we were left to our own devices. Everything was very clear and organized so it was smooth sailing, especially because the workers handled all oven-related parts of the baking process. It was so much fun and I could definitely see this being a fun activity for celebrations or for just hanging out with friends. I'd recommend reserving a slot in advance, especially for the weekends because they get completely booked out. read more

I've had this place bookmarked for what seems like forever! The other night, my partner surprised me with a date here to celebrate my birthday. The store is set up workshop style, with a variety of stations and tables. You start off by selecting the item you want to make, they'll assign you a table and give you the rundown on how to follow the instructions on the tablet. I liked that they had staff there to help you out in case you got confused. Everything was super easy and straightforward to follow, from measuring out the ingredients to using equipment to mix/bake. They have a lot of tables in there, so I could definitely see it being rented out for a birthday party, or for a small group of friends to bake together. Best of all, at the end of it, you get a delicious pastry and no mess to have to clean up! For the pie that we made, it was around $70ish, + $8 for an additional person. The whole experience took about 2 hours, and we got to bring our pie home the same day. read more

Visited here for the first time and had a wonderful experience! For those who enjoy baking and decorating but may not necessarily have the equipment or advanced training, I think this is a great experience to meet that baking itch! You basically pay a fixed price on what item you make with entry fees depending on the number of people in your party and the day of the week (weekends are more). Items are separated in level categories: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I don't consider myself a skilled baker but found that advanced was pretty doable; unless you are a younger kid, I would suggest doing an advanced level so you make the biggest bang for your buck and get the full experience. Once you select your item, you are given an IPad that goes step by step. There are several stations for ingredients weighing, mixing, baking, and actual decorating. Overall, I feel like once you get the hang of it, it's a pretty organized experience and made something as lofty as baking and decorating a cake pretty easy. My two comments that I think can improve: - there needs to be a limit of people per station with the rest at the main decorating station. At some of the stations, sometimes I found that a group would crowd in one area making it harder to grab items. I especially felt bad for a daughter-father duo who were patiently waiting for a scale to be finished being used. (Perhaps future visitors can also avoid this by making reservations at non peak hours - earlier in the morning?) - it can get so bright and sunny when you are there and there should be curtains added especially during peak sunlight hours to not only reduce heat but make it a more comfortable experience for people near windows. Parking is easy to locate and find; it's in a large plaza with other restaurants and a grocery store. You can post your creation on social media for a free set of cute candles! I would definitely come here again and bake more! read more

This was a fun activity- cake prices range from $60-80 but I split with my friend. The nice part is all the ingredients and supplies are there. It's basically baking without the mess. The staff will clean up your tools and used supplies. The instructions were on an ipad and very easy to follow, with videos to demonstrate. I think it's great for anyone who wants to learn to bake or bond with their partner or family member. read more
