Group of friends, making Valentine's Day purses at Fashion Camp.
Joann K.

I cannot recommend this place enough! My nine-year-old started coming here and has done the sewing 101 class and is now a member. The staff is spectacular and so friendly. She is so excited to go to every class and has made a couple purses and a tote bag and now working on a pillow. She is building skills that she can use in the future while having fun in a great environment. I recommend friends here all the time and as a parent I get a break while knowing my daughter is taken excellent care of.

My daughter has taken two full day classes and loved every minute of it! Highly recommend!

FIVE STARS because they've handled COVID shut downs by NOT shutting down!! They've allowed the kids to come in and get their creative energy out. They even sold fabric and supplies to us at the most critical shut down time last March-June to keep us all sane. My daughter started here last year. We were intrigued when we passed by the store front so we ventured in and it's been really positive and productive for her. Very organized, knowledgeable and helpful staff. After the Required Sewing 101 my daughter had the confidence to sew her own handbags. She's now making shirts, shorts, pj's and she does it with the proper patterns and notions. This is a top notch sewing school for kids and adults. Now my kid does the membership where she drops in and sews whenever she wants. There is a charge for supplies and monthly membership. The cost is higher than a city sponsored program but think of it as a private school vs public. You get one on one attention and excellent facilities. I highly recommend fashion camp. We made cloth masks with materials provided by fashion camp for First Responders, at the beginning of the pandemic when they weren't available anywhere.

My kids love taking sewing classes here. My two boys and my daughter all look forward to coming here. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The quality of the lessons is excellent. The fabrics and materials are top notch and so fun to choose from. I've never witnessed anyone being mistreated here. It's an overwhelmingly friendly learning environment with good vibes just oozing out. We love fashion camp and I recommend it to everyone!

Fun place for kids and adults alike! Your creative juices start flowing the second you step into this place. I've done three Paul Frank workshops, the Boo Bag workshop, hosted one party here and been a guest at one party here. My daughter also did the after school program at her elementary school. This place never disappoints. Me and the kids always have a great time making our projects, and we've always been pleased with the final results. The staff are very experienced, and offer lots of help and positive reinforcement. They may get overwhelmed sometimes when it's busy, but they sure bust their butts. It's not cheap, but it's worth it when you see how proud your kids are of their projects! Check this place out. Their website lists all the upcoming workshops.

Very cute shop. And the greeting was fantastic.

The result is a well oiled machine working for the kids. Every staff member and student has a role here. The teachers are amazingly skilled!!! The receptionists, outdoor aids, cafeteria workers, nurses, counselors, and even the janitor was impressive! If you have a desire for your child to learn Spanish, then this is the campus they should attend. Such a wonderful school in Southern California.

He is reading, speaking, and writing well above his grade level in both languages. I appreciate the community and the outpouring support from all the parents. It is definitely a wonderful experience to have such close relationships with other parents not to mention the amount of parents who volunteer for just about every activity and/or fundraiser. The food is incredible. The on site chef prepares fresh and health conscious meals daily. There is allergy awareness which is a plus++ Parents can also enjoy and bond with their child over breakfast. The monthly lunch menu is available so that parents and student can chose which meals they will partake in well in advance. The parking can be difficult due to the location, however, OCEAA has implemented a valet line which makes it easy to safely drop off your child without having to deal with parking. Which brings me to the after school program, KEDS. The director and staff of KEDS are all amazing, well trained, and knowledgeable in child development. KEDS is truly an extension of the school. They have many enriching activities offered during after school such as robotics, chess, piano, martial arts, etc., in addition to children receiving structure and support in finishing up homework. Children can also Participate in clubs such as gardening club, math club, and this year, Speech and Debate club. OCEAA is excellent in helping students develop leadership skills so much so, that even though This is OCEAA's first year participating in Speech and Debate competitions, several OCEAA students have placed top 3 during tournaments and OCEAA as a whole has placed 2nd and 1st place. Overall, I am 100% glad I chose OCEAA for my family. My son has grown academically, socially, and emotionally into a thriving 10-year-old.

The only review you need - June 2023…read more After reading the reviews (most of the bad ones are really old) I felt compelled to offer my review having just completed my Bachelors degree this week. Though CCU is not your traditional college, it definitely has its place in further education. It is super convenient for someone like me who works full-time+, on top of having a two kid family. I was referred to CCU by a former student because I had limited time to complete my degree for an upcoming LT promotional opportunity and their self-paced program was perfect for me. The price was very reasonable too. If you're like me, 25 years into your career and just need that BA/BS degree to promote, this is your best choice. Education Like I said, the timing and class structure are convenient, but it is by no means easy. You still have to read, pay attention, write a lot, and pass the exams. I'm a good writer for the most part, but I did have a couple of papers failed/kicked back because I rushed through them (the feedback from the professor was spot on). So, no you can't just submit anything and pass. It's open book, but still challenging. I actually learned quite a bit at my old age! Staff 5 star staff, you won't convince me otherwise. Debbie during the admissions process, and Taylor my student advisor during my coursework, were outstanding. Communicated often, answered promptly, and were just nice helpful people all around. They didn't just be nice to get me to sign for the money part then leave me out to dry. In fact, the promotional opportunity I talked about came unexpected early, and I needed an unlikely miracle favor. Taylor and each one of my professors were EXTREMELY quick and helpful, and made sure my miracle came true. I have nothing but outstanding things to say about CCU. It opened up a life-changing door for me. I Just bought me a couple T-shirts and a sweatshirt from prep sportswear, that's how proud I am of them!

California Coast University is definitely the best University. All of the staff were great and very helpful. The course work was doable and wasn't stressful. Instructors were understandable , kind , and didn't take long to grade coursework. I love the entire set up of online classes here. It's straight to the point. Hopefully I will be able to finish my degree here when I can afford it . My total experience was 10/10
