Some things didn't have prices listed, but I wasn't concerned since I knew based on all the prices I saw on other items that the price would be good.

I visited AD Beads twice, and each time, I returned because I prefer buying beads in person. They have an extensive selection of beads in various colors and finishes. The price point is great too! Super nice people running a tiny warehouse selling beads and findings not only online, but direct from the warehouse, too. I don't know about you, but I want to see the especially natural stone and gems before I purchase them and going to the warehouse helped me find what I was looking for! I was able to see the strings of beads before I committed to the purchase. I also was allowed to pick through their bins quality findings guiding me to find the products I was looking for like silver feathers and owl heads. A fun experience overall. read more

This is a small but well stocked bead shop. They have a good selection. The prices are very reasonable. I did shop at Michael's and hobby lobby before trying this place. The selection and quality range here is much better than the big chain stores. It is definitely worth checking out. read more

the moment I walked in, I was in heaven!! It was overwhelming at first because there was SO MANY selections but I was happy they carried everything I was looking for. We went into this store right at closing. They stayed open and didn't kick us out or rush us at all. The owner she explained each stone, even said which to get over the other. Took her time and helped pick out Pendants for the beads my mom purchased and bagged each one for each necklace my Mom is going to make. I definitely will be coming back! read more

I have been working with Alice @ AD Beads for several years now. Found these guys on line and wanted to see where they were located to shop in person. I called and got their location etc and decided to go see their offerings. I met Alice upon entering who could not have been any nicer if she tried! Their store is located in an Industrial park so you do need to look for it but it's well worth the trip! They have EVERYTHING you could want in a bead store!! She is more than happy to walk you around and help you find exactly what your looking for or just let you browse through the aisles. And they have a TON of beads in all sizes. I loved the fact that they mostly sell "round" beads so I went to town. So much to see so I was super happy to have Alice helping me! She was so nice and so was David! Their prices are very fair and their selection is deep. I will be a customer for life! Oh and they ship just about anywhere!! FIVE STARS!! AD Beads rocks! pun intended:-) I stopped in again today (it's one of my favorite places to shop, jewelry findings or otherwise) and to my delight Alice was there. Her incredible knowledge, I told her she's the Google of Gems & Jewelry Findings!! Truth. Alice is so friendly, helpful and her expertise make shopping there such a pleasure. She's expeditious, finds quickly what you're seeking, while 'digging' to get FABULOUS ideal selections. Today she helped me with wonderful crown charms: I stocked up because she helped me find fabulous variations of gold, silver, even black crowns to go with my collage and my royalty theme pieces, I cannot wait to use them in my jewelry and I'm going to use them with my vintage Swarovski pieces. AD Beads always has great new stuff + my 'original necessarys'. Alice also found for me beautiful moonstones for a special piece I'm creating of galactic (no Luke or Leia) focus. This place has wall to wall of crystals and gemstone beads! Pretty much any crystal you want? They will have. Their selection is phenomenal and they were pretty knowledgeable. Pretty friendly people! Bought beads from EBay and I ordered the wrong ones. Saw the vendor address and being a 30 drive, walked in and they exchanged them no problem. Wow, do they have every variety at amazing prices. History

Established in 2005.

AD Beads started out as a home business that sells custom made jewelry with high quality beads and gemstones. Over the years, we have expanded our business into selling many different kinds of beads and gemstones including Quartz, Jade, Coral, Jasper, Lupis, Turquoise and Pendant. In 2009, we expanded our business beyond our online presents on ebay by opening our first retail store in Fountain Valley. We carry the same high quality beads and gemstones at our retail store plus we also have great selection of Swarovski Crystal. In 2015, we moved our store from a retail center to a business park that give us more space for our ever expanding selections of high quality beads and gemstones as we keep growing. We are open to public as we sell to both retail customers and wholesale to professional jewelry makers across the country.

Meet the Business Owner: Alice W.

My name is Alice and I am the owner of AD Beads. I started making custom jewelry in 2005 as my favorite hobby. I wanted to offer my high quality jewelry to other people at an affordable price so I started selling my beads and gemstones online. As my business kept growing, I wanted to introduce my business to the local community and meet my customers in person. At that point, I realized opening a store in the community is the best way to interact with my customers and get to know them personally.

It will make it easier to shop, trust me. They don't have a shop online and pick up system but they said you could order online and call them to let them know you want to pick it up in the store. With that being said a lot of their product (stamps/dies) are faced barcode out which probably makes it easier for them to find however not incredibly convenient if you're a walk in customer. Personally, I didn't mind it but just something I noticed. You can find different stamp brands like Lawn fawn, my favorite things, mama elephant, waffle flower, hero arts, wplus9, and that's just the beginning. They also have a great collection of markers. I'm mostly focused on copics and zigs (plenty of stock at a great price) but they also have other brands. If you don't see what you're looking for just ask and someone will assist you. Every person I spoke to in there was extremely helpful and nice. There aren't a lot of craft shops in the area that carry this much variety of stamps so I'm really excited to have stumbled on this. I don't write many reviews but this shop deserves more credit which is why I decided to write about it. I wish I took pictures to post but I guess I'll do that next time :)

My wife got out of the car and was at the door inside that window. They wouldn't let her in without me, and I was still parking. I walked in 11 minutes after the start -- one minute past their cutoff. There were maybe four to six people in the room. I explained the family situation involving my son. I told them it was our anniversary. My wife was distraught, and I pleaded with them and tried to reason with them. They turned us away anyway. We weren't asking anyone to slow the class down or stay late -- we would have caught up on our own. My wife left humiliated on the day she had planned as a gift. I get it -- you have to run a business, and you have to start on time. But she was there inside the window you gave us and you wouldn't seat her. It came down to one minute and two people standing in front of you, and you chose the minute. The class started without us. So did the last impression I'll have of this place.

This place is the besssttttt!!! Alice (the owner) is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Her memory is incredible. The second time I came in, she remembered who I was and exactly what I purchased. She pointed out things she thought I would he interested in, and her recommendations were spot on. She also knows the names, qualities, and prices of every stone and every strand of beads. The prices are absolutely unbeatable. Sometimes I get better prices here than at wholesale outlets or online auctions, and the quality of merchandise is better. I live in LA, close to the jewelry district, but I still make it a point to come to this store twice a month to restock on supplies for my jewelry business. Completely worth the drive. The only downside is they don't have a ton of findings, but they do have the basics. Still giving 5 stars because they more than make up for the lack of findings in the amazing quantity and quality of the stones. read more

It was tricky to find - it's located in a small business strip mall area off S State College Blvd and is located on the right side of the strip mall, second to last door. The shop is small and stocked from ceiling to floor with each shelf labeled with the material content of each yarn. The man who helped me was kind enough to take me to the areas where I could find cotton yarns for a project I was working on. While they mostly carry acrylics and synthetic fibers for handknits and knitting machines, they did have a small collection of unmercerized cotton yarns. I bought 2 cones of yarn for a little over $20. The woman who rung up my purchase gave me some helpful tips for knitting with this yarn (Knit a test swatch, handwash the final garment to prevent shrinking, etc.) before telling me about their seasonal yarn sale they host out in the parking lot. Months later, I returned for the sale and they have everything! Acrylics, cottons, designer quality yarns from overseas, blends - it was amazing to see their assortment. I had a bag full of yarns that came out to $25-30 that would have retailed for more full price. I would come back again to either check out the yarn sale or to take a machine knitting class.
