Been coming here to Coast Airbrush for over 15 years now. Lots and lots of money spent here on Christmas gifts. My first contact with Coast was many moons ago when they operated out of a tiny store. For the past 10 years or so they have been at this bigger and better location. The owner Dave is one cool guy and built his empire up from the bottom to the top. Kodos to him. Located right in Anaheim Blvd, parking can be tight. There are a few store front spots that require master parallel skills. This is a one stop destination for the beast, who is a skilled artist to pick up his airbrush supplies. Everything from paints, to tapes, stencils, clear coats, paint brushes, easals, ect. They have everything you can think of you need to airbrush with. If you cant airbrush they offer classes to teach you what you need to know. Service for us is usually good since we are regular customers. If your mot a regular, staff may look intimatating so dont be shy and ask for help. They also have spray booth rentals used primarly to clear coat items like helmets. Pretty cool shop with plenty of art to drool over. read more

This is one of Mr. Bs favorite places since he became a modeler. He is getting into this hobby quite seriously now, even thinking about entering his work (mostly WWII tanks and airplanes) in competitions. People with enviable skills, airbrush equipment galore, not to mention the paints, stencils, how-to videos and books, and who knows what else, you will find everything you could ever need to get started airbrushing, except for the creative genius. That you will have to get from a higher source. ;) This store is large, could even qualify as a small gallery. With examples of very well done art throughout the store, they save the best in a back room. It is worthy of a curious visit, even if you don't have an artistic bone in your body. read more

I am really impressed with this company. First time using them and all I needed was some oil for our air compressor. I needed it sent air because I am on the other side of the country and needed it by this weekend. At first Ryan thought he couldn't send it overnight but called back and left a message to say they could. He didn't have to do that, it's not like a large sale but, he did it anyway. When I called back Sig was very nice, friendly and took care of my order. Within minutes I got an email notification with my receipt and a follow up email with the tracking. If you're local and know exactly what you want then this place is an absolute godsend as they stock just about everything there is in the world of airbrushing AND you can try it out before you walk out the door several hundred dollars lighter. There's almost no way you could possibly be disappointed with their physical shelves as they are simply incredible. If, on the other hand, you're ordering online or need help identifying a specific part in something that they themselves sold you at some point in the distant past then you'll be much less frustrated if you take your business elsewhere as their site is barely functional, they're not real big on checking things before they send them out and they will never under any circumstances admit that they are even capable of making mistakes no matter how much photographic evidence you bombard them with. Whatever's wrong is your fault, not theirs. Just look at all the hideous, anatomically impossible hot rod art they've produced in their 60+ years of pretending they're still in high school. How could the world's coolest grandpa ever be wrong when he can clearly yell louder than you? I very much like supporting small businesses but I'm going to stick to Blick's or Hyatt's unless I happen to be in Anaheim as these dudes are just too douchey for words. Really enjoyed coming here. They have every supply you could need for airbrushing recreationally or professionally. I wasn't initially approached when I entered but I had an idea of what I wanted being brand new to the art. Once I asked and engaged with an employee all was well and I wasn't talked down to or at. Five stars for having everything one would need for airbrushing. Well stocked and organized store. One star for the really nice girl at the counter who knew almost zero about the products they have for sale and airbrushing. Any question I had for her she had to go over to the guys who were on the phones and ask them. When one finally came to the counter he seemed bothered to be there and was really short with his answers. He was knowledgeable but unfriendly. Maya ROCKS!!! I've been coming to this store for about 2 years now. It's always clean and well stocked- but service with the guys is always hit and miss. Sometimes they're super friendly and helpful, other times not so much. But Maya rocks- she is so friendly and crazy knowledgeable! Ordered from these guys online, after being referred to them by a youtuber. One of the items ordered wasn't in my package, so I emailed them. They asked me to double check (as if I hadn't already.) So I confirmed with them, that it wasn't included. Checking my invoice, I realized that there was a "B/O" written next to the item in question (which probably stood for "Back Ordered.") At any rate, they sent me a reply saying they would send it out on the day I confirmed via email. That was about 3 weeks ago. Still haven't received anything, nor refund for the item. Honestly, this probably was just an oversight. Nonetheless, this oversight has negatively impacted a potential long-time customer. Won't be doing business with them again. read more

I have been coming here for a couple of years!! I LOVE this place... They are so incredibly helpful !!! Everything I have a problem with my airbrush I come in with my sad non-working gun and, leave with a happy perfect gun!!! NEVER do they charge me to fix it ( unless I have to buy a part) . Called about my airbrush being clogged. They guy on the phone was super nice, said bring it in they would look at it. When I got there, there were 5-6 employees but none were helping anyone. A few were stocking shelves, a few were in the back/side room. I kept standing there, finally a guy told me to go see the "filipino guy" at the front desk. This guy was not friendly, asked me 3 times when I bought the brush. Asked what the scratches were in the color cup, I told him I use brushes. He kept badgering about brushes, I told him they were the small wiry/brushy type I had bought here at the store. He just kept asking accusatory type questions. Finally recommended a cleaner, I then had to stand at the register for over ten minutes waiting for somebody to check me out. Overall a pretty bad experience. read more

This is the best place for ANYONE to get supplies to pinstripe, airbrush, and paint cars. Oh hey, you can also LEARN how to do all that here, because they offer classes. You can get setup with a pinstriping kit for a little over 200 bucks, and that includes paints, brushes, thinners, and reading material to get you started. Same thing with airbrushing. The staff is all very knowledgeable about what they do and all are artists as well, so they know what their selling and what works. read more

Dave helped me out with my airbrush today. Was really grateful for the customer service at this shop. I will definitely visit this place again. Customer service is top notch friendly. I am new to the hobby and Dave spoke to me on my level. I did not feel spoken down to or anything else you might expect from a specialty shop dealing with someone new to the hobby. Very assistive with recommendations and explanations of what I may have been doing wrong. The prices are more than reasonable. You know when you have high hopes about visiting a highly proclaimed business but upon visiting your hopes are quickly dashed? That was my experience when visiting Coast Airbrush on June 5th of this year. I stopped in for some airbrush parts and was met rather quickly by a staff member who apparently feels employment is overrated. He was able to locate the easily identifiable items (O rings) but was rather uncooperative when it came to assisting me with parts for a Japanese market Iwata HP-TH2. I understand not having knowledge of an item but at least give more effort than the absolute minimum please. He was also extremely disengaged when I asked if he had a paint cup for this airbrush (Sorry I bothered you with my contributing to your paycheck). All in all, interacting with this gentleman ruined my perception of this establishment. The selection of paint, stencils and supplies are unmatched. Regardless, I won't be back. read more
