I had pants hemmed and had to have them redone because of the botched job. I also have had clothes come back smelling like chemicals. Not sure if they are stuffing the ballot on this site or it is just my experiences. read more

I am reviewing "The Ultimate" from my new home in New York. I miss this dry cleaner so much. They have great hours. They have great service. They have great prices. Even the tailor is good. I have yet to find a dry cleaner in New York (granted, I do live in Brooklyn) that lives up to The Ultimate. read more

This place offers basic dry cleaning, alteration, and laundry services, I can't say how their rates/charges compare to other dry cleaners in the area, but what I like about them is that they have been in business for a long time & are family-owned & operated, so the quality of service is quite a bit higher than a lot of anonymous/cheap cleaners that I have tried. read more

Great, quick service! They text you when your pickup is ready, but are cash only (luckily there's an ATM outside). I brought in a dress for an alteration (torn fabric) and was impressed that they were able to mend it almost seamlessly. read more

Ultimate Dry Cleaning saved the day when my bridesmaid dress arrived from the designer with mystery stains on the bodice and skirt. My tailor recommended Ultimate. I took it in a week before the wedding and they managed to get all of the stains out of the silk dress. And it was ready days before the event. Hooray! read more

I brought a completely stained top here (light blue top that I wore once before it ended up covered in bright red food coloring) and they got it out and had it ready two days earlier than the expected pickup day. Top looks brand new again for $4.95. Will definitely be bringing all my business here. read more

If you're looking for a great dry cleaning and/or alterations experience, Ultimate Cleaners is the best! They have brought clothing items of mine back to life, and I fully trust them to alter any piece of clothing I have. They are a dry cleaner that I truly trust to handle anything and everything. read more

Love this place!! They are always on time, if not early. I brought in a purse with a bum zipper and the owner fixed it at no charge! I asked them to sew a few pieces together for my Halloween costume and they did such a good job that I won the costume contest! Love, love. Great hours, too! read more

Love this place for tailoring and dry cleaning! They've even helped me with some random little requests (adding a belt hole) and didn't charge me! Will def continue to come here. read more

Was nervous about getting my dress for a black tie event altered and didn't have a good place I knew of in the city. Saw the reviews on yelp for ulimate cleaners and figured that I would trust my friendly yelpers:) Glad I did. The owner did a great job of taking in the sides of a dress with lots of pleating etc without altering the lines of the dress. Also hemmed it really at a good height. cost was about $50 so pretty standard for the alterations I needed done etc. my clothes look great from the dry cleaning too! they are very thorough and fast! They only take cash so plan ahead! read more

This place keep it organized. You can clean and fix just about any piece of clothing you have. The downside is they only accept cash and check, but they've always done a great job! read more

I've been using Ultimate for all my dry cleaning for the past five years and have always had a great experience - clothes cleaned properly, on-time and for a decent price. On top of that, occasionally I will leave a $20 bill or something else in my pockets and they always find the item and return it! How great is that? read more

Alteration Magicians. This place is one of the best, if not the best, alteration places I've been too. So helpful, so friendly, and superheroes in my book. I had a bridesmaid dress that didn't fit and was down to the wire on timing to get it altered. We didn't have enough time to order extra fabric so they worked with what they had and the dress came out perfect. I would highly recommend if you are in need of dress alterations and I plan to be back again the next time I need alterations. read more

Been coming here since 2007, when it was my default nearby dry cleaners. Little did I know, it would become my go-to place for any item I actually care about. Fast forward to nearly 2017 and I still bring my valued items (20min drive) to this well-run business. Friendly service, quality tailoring, impeccable cleaning, and much more. They're truly ultimate. #zing read more

I've been going to this place for 5 years now. They will get things done quickly when I need it, they do a great job dry cleaning and a really great job tailoring - which is unique for a dry cleaner. They are also very affordable. I highly recommend this place, I used to drive about a mile to come here before I moved to the area. read more

Last year other places were going to charge me triple to make the alterations I needed for my bridesmaid dress. They did an amazing job in less than a week. I was beyond pleased. Nice staff and awesome workmanship! It may not be a fancy facility but the guys do top notch work. read more

Great cleaner and they do wonderful alterations! We've taken skirts, ripped leather jackets, jeans to have the pockets sewn shut and trimmed out, and pants to be hemmed. Everything they've altered is top notch work and the turnaround is less than one week. Reasonably priced. Located across the steer from Starbucks in the corner at Racine. read more

Great owners and employees. I've had items dry cleaned and altered - and it always turns out great. If you have a few items you need back right away - they are usually pretty good about having them done quickly. read more

This is hands down the best alterations place I have ever been to. I once took a dress into another dry cleaner/alteration place, stupidly thinking that the alterations were not going to be very difficult. The dress came back a mess - I took it to the Ultimate, and they were able to undo the damage, and put the proper alterations in place. Another time, a friend with a totally different body shape give me a dress that I loved - I took it there and asked them to see what they could do with it, knowing that the structured bodice of the dress would probably be a problem. The dress now looks like it was custom-made for me. I've never gotten anything cleaned there, so I can't comment on that - but I'll never use another place for alterations. read more

Great service, great prices. I bring my dress shirts here weekly, pick them up 24 hours later, perfectly cleaned and pressed. Best deal around. read more

I go here for my dry cleaning as well as alterations. They have altered three bridesmaid dresses for me and have done a great job on all of them. They not only hem them, but take them in and are always ready on time. A little pricey, but worth it for the quality and piece of mind. read more

I just left Chicago for California and I already miss them. I just took some things into a dry cleaners in my new area in California and wow what a difference! I had come to rely on Ultimate's impeccable attention to detail, mostly in their ability to actually get out the stains that I brought in - and to never ruin anything. They were also always very knowledgeable about what was actually possible to clean and what was not. And I am now realizing how affordable they were. I just paid almost double for way worse service here in California. The only thing I did not trust them for was alterations, but I am VERY picky. I used them for a while and after some issues switched to a professional alterations place. However, Ultimate is fine for alterations that are simple, I just prefer to be doubly sure when it comes to alterations. I will be searching for another Cleaners that is as good in the Bay Area. Wish me luck! read more

Best dry cleaning place in area. Open late. Had shirts with tears repaired and you can't tell they were ever torn. Very nice people

Two days before a wedding, they were able to alter my bridesmaid dress. Turnaround time was amazing and they did a fantastic job.

The best in the city. They have never turned down anything I've brought in. From small holes in cashmere sweaters to a knit blanket i ruined and needed re-knit, they do it! Don't look anywhere else. They are my go to from black tie gown alterations to dry cleaning work shirts. I will never go anywhere else. read more

Love these guys, they take such great care of everything. They know everybody so I'm always forgetting what I need to pick up or whatever - they already know. And I've had some special rush requests, which they're really nice about. And of course, a great job of getting stuff clean. Can't recommend them enough! read more

I'm so surprised by the negative reviews I'm reading about alterations at Ultimate Dry Cleaning! They are not my neighborhood dry cleaner but I go there each time I need alteration. I'm a Petite 00 size, and almost everything I buy needs alteration. I trust the 2 brothers 100% with my clothes. I know they will get it right even if it's complicated. They are so good! And I'm really picky. I don't go there for cleaning, but the rare times I've left clothes for cleaning when I did alterations, I had no problems. When it comes to alteration, I'm sending all my friends there, they are awesome! And very nice too! read more

TERRIBLE!!! RUDE!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! GET WITH THE TIMES!!! I live 1 block away, and i have used this place because it was convenient. However, I will never go back to this place because of the people that work there. I went it and was the only patron in there, and no one would service me. I had 20 shirts that were going to be cleaned, and I did not get a hello, hold on, I will be with you in a minute, or anything. I stood there for 10 minutes without any help from any one, so I left. I do not understand how their business is still running with how rude they act. I believe that since they are on a major corner in the Wrightwood neighborhood, that many customers also use them out of convenience. Regardless, I am done with this place, and will use Bart's or some other dry cleaning services near my place. Overall, their customer service is terrible, they do not accept credit card, and act rude to their customers (this is not just me, I have had this discussion with many other families around the area). read more

Fast, well done, and well priced tailoring. Used to go to a VERY expensive place in gold coast and actually think this dry cleaner does a significantly better job. Great service all around. read more

I had used this cleaners a couple times. The second time they lost three of my work blouses and were very unhelpful and dismissive when I had told them they were missing. Would not recommend. read more

I think they are the best cleaners in Chicago! It's the only place I take my clothes for cleaning and alterations. They are a family-run business that goes out of their way to provide service. They have always done exceptional, professional work. In twenty years, they have never lost or damaged a single item. In fact, when I lived in Seattle, I saved my cleaning and alterations so they could do it when I came home. read more

This is the BEST dry cleaner business around. I totally trust them with my beautiful handmade tablecloths from Spain that I got as wedding gifts and all of my clothes. Their alterations are fabulous too! I ordered a bridesmaid dress that ended up being two sizes too small! They performed a major miracle! I still don't know how they got that thing to fit me. At the end of the day they saved me from total humiliation! Love them. I have moved further away but still make the trip over. read more

I have been coming here to the Ultimate Cleaners for over 10 years, traveling 20 minutes sometimes to get here. There is no question in my mind that this is by far the best cleaners I have found. Tom and Gus take such personal care with their business and are very present .I use the for alterations as well as cleaning. When I read the reviews and see someone who had a problem, it was obvious they never really discussed it with these owners or they would have fixed it.That is just who they are. They just have great service in all the way around. read more

I have a love hate relationship with Ultimate Dry Cleaners. They do an awesome job on my alterations- but it is WAY OVERPRICED!!! I am looking for somewhere else because I don't think their alteration prices are fair. read more

I was in a total bind and Ultimate Dry Cleaning helped me out tremendously. Two tailors prior to them told me they could not let out a bridesmaids dress --- I needed to let out a couple inches for it to zip up (got pregnant!). This was the only tailor that did it -- and perfectly. Goes to show there ARE differences in tailors in this city and from now on I'll only go here anytime i need a tailor. He is also VERY nice! read more

Having been to several cleaners I find Ultimate to be wonderful. Not only do they do a fine job with dry cleaning but they alter clothing very well. I have had many different priced pieces of clothing altered there. If it wasn't exactly right they made the change so it was. I could not recommend they more highly! read more

This place is amazing! I got my bridesmaid dress for a wedding, and stupidly did not try it on until two weeks before the wedding. I found out it was the wrong size because another bridesmaid got mine and she already altered hers smaller!!! AHHHHH! In panic mode, I hit YELP to find anyone who can do this in a week (since we also needed travel time for this wedding in Hawaii). I went to five places that turned me down because it had to be taken out TWO FULL SIZES! Finally, one week before our plane tickets, on a Tuesday night I brought it in and after looking at the dress and doing the fitting he said, "sure, we can do this". My hero! Yes, he could do it, but could he also do it in 6 days? "Yes, it will be ready by Monday". I got the call Saturday night it was ready and picked it up Monday morning before work, and it was perfect, no one could tell there were alterations done to this dress at all!!! read more

When I went to collect my dress after dry cleaning, they said it wasn't ready and to come back tomorrow. The next day they said the same thing. I told them I was leaving for a trip and needed the dress, and asked why it was taking so much longer than the collection day on my ticket. They finally admitted that they lost the fabric belt from my dress. They still charged me for the cleaning. read more

Altered a bridesmaid dress for me and did a fantastic job! And for 1/2 the price you'd pay on Oak Street (or probably anywhere else!!)! Will definitely go back! read more

I love these guys! Been going for over 3 years and have never had a problem. Always on time, nice and friendly. its easy for some people to write bad reviews based on one bad experience, but you need to remember that people are 10 times more likely to write a bad review than a good one. I recommend these guys for everything!! read more
