The clothes are typically returned to me in decent shape and the one time a button melted under the heat of the clothes press, it was replaced with no hassle. I just hope homophobia isn't the root of their moodiness... As an addendum, I noticed the vibe improved with time and the service was almost always good. Clothes were never lost (or only for a few minutes) and they were typically returned to me cleaned and pressed in the desired fashion. I hadn't realized these low standards are hard to come by now, but they are. Lost or melted bottons were always replaced graciously. I typically don't like family owned and operated enterprises, but everyone hete is down to earth and friendly. George has his favorites of course and they appear privileged, but it rarely impeded the service I received over the years.

Just moved to the area and wanted to give them a try on replacing a zipper on a coat. I showed the…read moreowner the issue with the zipper getting stuck in certain places and I asked if he was able to do the work and he said he would try and to leave the coat with him for a week. He quoted me a price of 30 to 80 dollars and I thought that was more than fair, otherwise i was planning to just discard the coat. A week roles around and I go to pick up the coat and it is still not complete because the owner claims he is looking for a part to match the coat in order for the work to get done. I was ok with this. I told him to keep it as long as he needed to get the job done. I then go to pick it up a few days later, the owner claims the work is complete and charges me 30 dollars. Not having much experience with the process, I didn't question the work and brought it home. Once home, i try on the coat and the exact same damaged zipper is on the coat. Nothing was replaced or repaired to my knowledge. I bring the coat back and he claims he replaced "the slider". I'm not even sure what "the slider" is, this slider did not even need to be replaced to begin with and did not even offer me a refund on the 30$ that I wasted on this business. Long story short, check their work if you are going to use them. I wouldn't rely on them for tailoring services. They may be ok to use for dry cleaning but based on my experience with this business i will not ever use them again.

For example, I dropped off a pillow that the zipper needed fixing and the guy said no problem, they'll fix it. And they did! When I came with another pillow (the same design, just its twin with the same problem), the lady said it was impossible to fix. When I said that she already fixed the twin pillow, that's when she finally accepted it. Now when I'm asking to her do some alterations on three shirts, she said she "wasn't professional enough" to accept them. She gives explanations like "too hard" or "too much work" and I'm left feeling like she just doesn't want my business. It's unfortunate since she is my neighborhood cleaners and tailor.

My clothes consistently come back looking perfect, clean, beautifully pressed, and clearly handled with care. The pricing is very fair, especially for the quality and level of service you receive. What truly sets this place apart is the family feel. Emma is always so kind and patient with my son, which means more to me than I can say. It is rare to find a business where you feel genuinely welcomed every time you walk in and not just like another transaction. Also I suggested an edit and was able to update the Yelp profile to the correct address. FREE parking right out front her door.

I took in a BRAND NEW pair of khakis to get hemmed. I got them back and put them on the next day and my wife noticed there was black grease near one of the back belt loops. I took it back and they were "gracious" enough to charge me $4.75 for the dry cleaning. I don't think we'll be going back.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!!! This is the absolute worst cleaners I have ever used. I would give 0 stars…read moreif I could. I just moved by them and thought I would try them for dry cleaning, shirts laundered/pressed and 2 oriental rugs. I should have heeded my GF's warning based upon her previous experience with them where they lost her clothing and didn't seem to really care, including arguing with her that she hadn't even brought it there. Yes, they ended up finding it, but no apology, no customer service, nothing. I don't think the lady that owns it really cares. Back to my experience... The owner (Suh) absolutely lied to me when I was talking to her about having the two oriental wool rugs cleaned. She first told me she sends them out to a local source who professionally cleans them through a machine specifically for this purpose. When I got the rugs back, they obviously were't cleaned this way. It appeared that just the surface was cleaned because there was a ton of dirt that came out of them when we unrolled it to check them after picking them up. When I discussed the cleaning method again, she said they don't clean it using the machine method. Wow, just wow. I couldn't believe it. What was worse was her attitude. No, wait...what was worse was the fact that they ruined one of the rugs that cost me about $2K. It appeared that it sat rolled up in some kind of water/liquid while they had it because the backing of that rug was severely stained when she gave it back to me. She took them back to try to clean them and get the stains out of the backing but gave them back to me again in the exact same condition. When I brought them back again, she just didn't care. I don't think I've ever had an experience with someone who is in a service business who just didn't care. Then she tried to tell me that I initially brought the rug in to her already stained. I again showed her the time/date stamped photos I took of the rugs (front and back) on the day I initially brought them into her...no stains in the photos. She just kept insisting that I did this. Kind of like when she lost my GF's clothes, Suh kept insisting that they were never brought there. Crazy, right? So, I'm out the $$ for the cleaning and I have a ruined $2K rug. Nice. That's not all... When I picked up a batch of shirts a couple of days later, the press had broken a couple of the top buttons on a couple of shirts and the front white shirt (in the bunch) had black smudge spots on it from the press or something. I couldn't believe they would try to give shirts back this way. Yup, you guessed it...according to Su, it was my fault and I brought the shirts in that way. Avoid, avoid, avoid. There are a ton of cleaners in the area, including several with great yelp reviews. Try those...seems I've found a good one and it is not Chicago's Cleaners. We've since talked to other people in the neighborhood about our experiences with Chicago's Cleaners and found out there are quite a number of others that have had bad experiences also. Avoid!
