If someone had told me nicely that they were backed up, I would have been completely understanding. What bothered me was being made to feel like I was inconveniencing the staff by asking a simple question. And while we're at it, the constant pressure around tipping doesn't help. Tipping is meant to reward good service, not compensate for poor customer interactions. Had the experience been more pleasant, I likely would have tipped more generously. The groomer may do great work, but customer service starts at the front desk, and unfortunately that's where this experience fell short for me.

The owners seemed to know their animals and I wish them well in their plans to build a larger educational children's zoo here in North County.
