Lily came over when I had shampoo all over my dog and asked how I was doing. She then told me there was a 30 minute limit. I told her I didn't know that and that it isn't possible for me to wash my Afghan Hound in that amount of time. She said no one was waiting and not to worry. Then the manager came over and again told me about the 30 minute limit. I apologized and told him had I known that, I never would have brought my dog there. He continued to berate me. He said the policy was made to allow everyone time. I told him I understood that and apologized again. No need to tell me over and over. I understood the first time. I hurried to get out of there as fast as I could. I left with 50 pounds of soaking wet dog. I wasn't there to abuse their policy. I was not made aware that there was one. If someone had told me there was a time limit before I started I would have left. This could have been handled in a much more professional manner. Anyone looking at my dog should be able to tell it is not a 30 minute job. If not the cashier, most certainly the groomer.

Gas is over $4/gallon and carrying 3 car seats and 2 strollers doesn't happen in a Prius. Whoever made that sign - didn't they stop to think that maybe they should update the more visible postings of hours, rather than a sign that can only be seen when it's too late? That sign might as well be in the toilet, it would be just as useful. Can't really comment on the shopping experience, etc., because I never got to go inside. But what an inconvenience! They've lost a potential customer - I'll continue to support the customer-service based businesses like Shipwreck Cove, LotsaFishies, StrictlySaltwater, and all the others that realize putting customers first will return higher profits in the long run.

I dropped in to check it out and Deer Springs Feed & Supply had exactly what I needed. They also had other things that I have appreciated picking up over the years, such as; solid toys for power chewers, horse shampoo for a shiny coat and barn jackets perfect for travel. Fast forward to the days of COVID. I had a lot to accomplish one day and I was heading to the gas station on my way home. I didn't quite make it and pulled in outside the shop. The owner appeared and assisted. I was quite embarrassed but the owner was kind. He ran to get a gas can and filled my car with a quarter tank of gas. I tried to give him money, but he would not take it. This was at a time when gas prices were on the rise. I was so appreciative of the kindness I received. I will always be a customer of this business because of this good deed. Sometimes I just stop by to purchase some dog treats or people treats from the fridge. This is a family run business and they really care about animals, people and their community. Not only did they help me as a citizen but they support causes such as the Teri Campus of Life down the road. She rudely commented, "no, that was your dog barking." She proceeded to REPEATEDLY yell, "Stop that!" at my pup, while calling him by name...while I was LISTENING on the phone. Anyone with any dog knowledge knows that when a dog is stressed out and barking, the last thing that you want to do is yell at them. It only increases stress and therefore increases their barking. I immediately drove to pick up my puppy. When I got there, the lady at the desk told me the price, which was five dollars more than what we had agreed upon. I told her that the amount was $45 last month for the same service. She asked the owner, who rudely replied, "Well, it's $50 today". When I asked what the difference was, she told me that my puppy hadn't stopped barking & he had thrown up and she had to clean it up & do more brushing. I told her that I imagine he threw up because he was stressed and that I heard her yelling at him while I was on the phone, so I could only imagine how she treated him when I wasn't on the phone. She looked right at me & denied yelling at him. (I know what I heard) I would never take an animal to this woman again. Oh...and guess who hasn't barked ONCE since we picked him up?

I think a casual hobby tank or a serious fish keeper can be happy with the selection here, and it's become my go to location.
