I found the vaccinations I needed for my puppies here and the price was the best out of all the feed stores I checked. Friendly service.

Good place, friendly people, reasonable prices and seconds from my pad. Chicken scratch is legit.

Started going back to PetCo because they have focus and will put everything in the bag when I leave. Maybe she could go back in stocking and stop detracting. Nice woman, just not any focus. And distracts everyone from focusing on the job at hand. Like I said, love this place, but.... Better for me to go to Petco and get what I need. With the padres losing so much, it's not even the padres discount at Petco, but just making sure I get out with everything I went there for. She's very friendly and nice, but doesn't have animals on her mind like the rest of the team. Maybe she'll grow into the maturity it takes to do the job, maybe she won't. In the meantime, you're losing customers and I take my $300 a month+ and go elsewhere. It's a small drop in the bucket, but watch the faces and rolled eyes customers give to each other when asking questions, or when you're trying to check out and she's literally tacking at the guy trying to check you out. Someone should be paying attention there who is oversight. Perky doesn't cut it anymore when you can get what you want for cheap and get free delivery, or go to the kahootz in Poway, or Petco. Or Amazon. Really used to love this place. But.... When customers have to point out the shortcomings of what training isn't covering then there's a problem from the top down. When you have people sitting in the oversight chair up on the right side, you'd think they would be listening to see how things go, instead they join in. I'm too old for this crap. They seem to be the only game in town for a lot of items. I've spoken with two other people who go there who have had similar issues when asking for help there. Like her saying "she" (instead of "we") doesn't carry it, so she doubts the existence of a product. Seriously. Has done this to me twice. And to two other shoppers I know who are friends. What's going on there? It doesn't matter to me, I am going elsewhere again. Just when you had me back. So, don't even bother replying, not coming back. I hear there's a new pet store setting up in town. I guess competition causes competency. Eventually, she'll learn the job if people start mentoring her.

My sweet Nora's T 4 is elevated and I was looking at changing her protein and engaged in conversation with Ashley and Theresa and they were so attentive and genuine in their advice and support as I was very worried and a little stressed about her bloodwork results. They spoke with their nutritionist and got back to be so quickly and were able to share some wonderful suggestions! I came into the store today and they weren't there but Robert was and printed out notes of suggestions for new food. Above and beyond and so supportive! We love Kahoots in HB! Thank you Ashley, Theresa and everyone at this location for working so hard to ensure the absolute best customer service and support!

Here's a polished, fair review that conveys your experience without being overly harsh:…read more I normally have a great experience at this pet store, which is why today's visit stood out. When I walked in, I mentioned that my dog is currently in heat. There wasn't any engagement--no "How is she doing?" or any conversation at all. Later, while I was looking at the chew bones, I mentioned I wanted to get my dog a special treat because she's been such a good girl. I asked about the difference between two products, and the response was simply, "It depends how much of a chewer your dog is." Rather than asking what breed or age my dog was, or trying to help me choose the best option, I ended up volunteering that she's a Rottweiler. The employee just pointed to one of the bones and said, "That one." When I commented that another one looked popular, the response was just, "Yep." At checkout, there was still no conversation--no greeting, no "How's your day going?" or anything that made the interaction feel welcoming. The transaction was completed, and that was it. I understand everyone has off days, and I'm not trying to be overly critical. I also recognize that maybe I caught the employee at a bad moment. However, working in a customer-facing role--especially at a specialty pet store where customers often appreciate advice and conversation--friendly engagement and genuine customer service make a big difference. Since moving to the area and covering it for work, I visit often...hope this was a one off and that this employee has a better day...b/c she sure threw my day off!

I wanted to get my Malamute a sister and came on here to send them a message since I got a malamute…read morefrom them last year. Michael was great and my puppy is healthy and I haven't had an issue. I decided to read the reviews and its pretty sad to see how a business owner responds to the public in such a condescending tone. Obviously complaints or any negative feedback she gets will never be handled correctly. I'm assuming the woman in the filtered pic with the bright red hair is the owner, who offers more than 1 person to "speak to a manager", I came to the pet store 3 times before finally leaving with my dog and each time I went Michael had to text the owner/manager with any questions that he couldnt answer. As another person mentioned, Michael was texting the owner and had to go back and fourth a few times with her before we were able to get everything we wanted for the price we paid. Its obvious the Owner prefers to go back and fourth through text messages with her employees. I'm glad my malamute turned out healthy but would rather not deal with them again since I see how the owner handles complaints. It's disgusting how sarcastic and unprofessional all the responses have been. Especially to Michelle H. and Lauras reviews, why even answer if it's not to make things right? Almost each person that gave a 1 star were concerned for the puppies because of the smell, poor customer service and the dirty cages. Instead of taking each review so personal and being obnoxious - Why not fix the problem? clean the cages, change the amount of puppies per cage, train your employees that they need to be interacting with customers and not eachother. Also letting people know about court dates that customers didn't show up to, screen shot conversations you guys have or breeding right disputes does not make anyone other than yourselves look foolish
