My fiancee and I were excited to get new products for our fish tank. As we came across a new fish tank . We found an employee to ask the question about the pricing on the product so she said let me get a manager. A man shows up by the name Michael and we ask hey so this is how much it says under the price are you going to honor the price? He started saying it's not on the left side so it's the price for that one. I stated I used to be a store manager and it's under the product so you do need to honor the price and have a sit down conversation with whom mis priced your product. Michael finally gets his phone and steps away to go talk to someone . Comes back wiggling his pen and a note pad telling me all I can do is take your name and phone number. I have never met someone so unhappy with his career that he bounces the negatively around like a boomerang . I feel like all my energy was sucked dry and I didn't feel the energy I had walking into the petsmart. So my fiancé and I left the store devastated. We were so excited to buy something never been so disvalued as a customer that's been shopping there for a long time. My fiancee looked up online and saw that it was cheaper so we called the same store to ask if they priced matched and of course Michael answered and states yes we price match. A lot of businesses are going out of business anymore cause the customer service isn't the way it used to be. Honestly we got our fish tank but I will probably go to a different petsmart or even go to Petco . The energy you give is what you get back. If you're miserable you don't have the right to treat people so poorly. Honestly I questioned how he got promoted . I have been in customer service for over 20 years and honestly I wouldn't even have him doing back stock with his negative attitude. The moral of the store starts with the management. So unless you clear out the negativity cloud this store is definitely gonna lose customers.

My review is solely based on customer service and the availability of items when I shop here. I live about 25 minutes away from this location but when I'm in the area I do drop by instead of the other big pet store to purchase items for my dog. They always have great sales, especially right now for Black Friday and cyber Monday. They always have items in stock and it's super easy to find. Yesterday I bought some holiday pajamas, and a holiday dress and some rain deer antler ears with bells on them, and also a dry shampoo for my dog since she recently got spayed and cannot take baths for two weeks. I love the quality of their items and the prices. They also have a great return policy and reward system. I love that the employees at Petsmart are very friendly no matter which Petsmart I go to. You can tell they're always willing to help and know the store and products unlike other big-name pet stores. This location is very easy to find with ample parking, curbside pick up in ample disability parking. I have used the per hotel services but not at this location so I am unable to comment on my experience on that. Overall... I do like coming to the store when I am in the area.

PetSmart Curbside Pickup

Accessibility: disabled parking available, curbside pickup available, and motion activated doors entering/exiting the building. Supplies: lots of pet supplies for dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, birds, fish, guinea pigs, hampsters, snakes, etc. Pet care: they have animal training classes and a doggie day care in case you don't want your dog home alone while you're at work. Pets for adoption: they do sell or have for adoption cats, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, lizards and snakes. Ethical concern: most of the animals seem very well taken care of but there are Beta fish in small containers by themselves and that looks sad to me personally. These fish cannot be around other fish because they can be aggressive but I feel they deserve bigger living spaces with something like statues to swim around. Many of these beta fish are not moving at all. The fish in large containers, bigger groups, are moving around and seem great!

Did you know that NO ONE is in the Pet Hotel from 9pm to 5 am? That's 8 hours that we are paying for our pets to be alone & unsupervised.

We always shop here for our cat and dog food. Many options you just won't get anywhere else. Plus it's close by so that helps a bunch.

They didn't have the prescription food I needed in stock and Sid went way out of his way to take care of me.

I cannot sing the praises of Michelle enough! When Monty returned from two weeks of Board and…read moreTrain with Michelle, he was a changed dog. He's not just a calmer dog, he's a CALM dog. We've had no out-of-control barking incidents; he can be tethered and remain quiet. He's very good on walks, moving from "heel" to "break" and back to "heel" again. He's very responsive to the "off" command, which we use primarily to keep him off the furniture and out of the kitchen. Last week we had friends over for dinner and after his initial excitement he was a good boy, lying nearby content and chewing on a bone. We even attended the Humane Society Walk for Animals at Kit Carson Park, and with hundreds of dogs and people and non-stop activities, he was again a very well-behaved boy. We are so appreciative of the work that Michelle did with Monty. He is now the dog we always hoped he would be - happy, well-behaved, and living his best life!

The moment Chewie saw Chris, he recognized him and greeted him with such joy! Minding his manners of course. He's too smart to behave like a brat in front of his trainer. I recently reached out to Chris for advice on redirecting Chewie when greeting people since he sometimes forgets his manners and has no sense of personal space. Chris took the time to demonstrate effective techniques and offered practical solutions I'll be implementing right away. Chewie and I are incredibly grateful for Chris's continued support and the excellent training from Cosmo K-9 Obedience. Chewie has come a long way. I can't image life without the professional guidance and support from Costco K-9 Obedience.

This was our second time using the Escondido location, and it confirmed that this facility is not…read moreequipped or operated to responsibly manage large or anxious dogs, despite advertising itself as a professional daycare. During our first experience in May 2024 (boarding), our dog, Chika, was labeled anxious and given a "first strike" for snapping at other dogs. We had never received this sort of feedback before and were concerned. She was placed in private care for the remainder of that stay, and no further issues occurred. Between May 2024 and December 2025, Chika attended numerous daycare facilities in social play without incident. We gave the Escondido location another opportunity on December 20, 2025. Within three hours, we received a voicemail from Daniel (manager) stating that Chika was digging at and jumping on the walls and that the Escondido facility's walls are not as sturdy as those at the Miramar location. We were also told that she would NOT be welcome back at Escondido after that day. We do not dispute Chika's behavior, but the problem was the lack of management. We are paying customers and expect staff to actively handle the situation, not simply report it and escalate to removal or ban. There was no indication that reasonable steps were taken (removal from the area, breaks, walks, or calming measures) before contacting us. Notifying the customer is appropriate and appreciated; failing to attempt resolution is not. Chika was eventually placed in a cage for the remainder of the day, which was acceptable. However, communication did not indicate that efforts were made to reduce her stress or ensure her comfort. We paid $60 per dog (two dogs; our other dog's behavior was deemed acceptable) and expected professional supervision and care. There are serious safety and operational concerns. The facility has thin, easily damaged walls, is understaffed (per the manager and owner), and staff are not consistently present in dog areas. Dogs are sometimes monitored via cameras rather than in-person supervision, according to Daniel (manager). This location also maintains a low number of dogs, which aligns with how quickly dogs are removed or banned instead of being managed. According to the daycare, Chika may react this way because calmer areas stress her and busier areas keep her mind occupied--interpret that as you will. Interactions with Daniel (manager) and Brian (owner) were unacceptable. Brian called us on December 21st, which we initially appreciated as a chance to discuss the situation. However, the conversation quickly became hostile and dismissive, with Brian stating they "could bill you for the damage, but aren't," telling me to "take some introspection," and calling me "rude" and "ridiculous for asking for a refund." He also said, "open your own daycare and manage it how you want." All phone calls with management are recorded, so there is a record of these interactions. No accommodation was offered. Had a partial refund been provided, this review would not exist! The only professional interaction was with Whitney at the front desk. We love the Miramar location, and it's disappointing that our experience at Escondido came to this. Owners of large or anxious dogs should proceed with caution. This location does not actively manage stressed dogs or work toward resolution.

At first we were a little hesitant about doggie daycare, especially with four dogs, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions we've made for them. It gives us a lot of peace of mind knowing they're in such good hands. My husband works from home, so bringing them a few times a week has been incredibly helpful. They get plenty of exercise, playtime, and socialization, and they always come home happy and tired. After more than a year of going regularly, we can confidently say Tailwag Resorts has been a fantastic place for our dogs. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, fun, and caring dog daycare. If you're nervous about trying daycare for the first time like we were, this is a great place to start. Briefly, our little guy is a new addition to our family and we were seeking a trustworthy, dependable, knowledgeable and kind dogsitter to occasionally watch him. We have never gone outside our family to have someone watch one of our pets. So, we were unsure whether Colean, or anybody (!), could provide the trust and care that we get with other family members. Very quickly, Colean earned our trust. She initially had us visit her house with our dog to see whether he had the right temperament to fit into her pet community. Luckily, our little guy did very well. And, ultimately, we entrusted Colean to watch him overnight on a recent trip. We received continual updates via text throughout the evening and the next morning until we picked him up. We feel fortunate to have someone of Colean's skill, passion and commitment to rely upon.
