We stopped by Meadows today just to get our Chihuahua, Luna's, nails trimmed, and I honestly couldn't believe how great the experience was. The gentleman who helped us (I wish I had gotten his name!) actually stopped what he was doing to take care of Luna right away. He had me hold her while he used a Dremel to trim her nails, and the whole thing was over in about THREE MINUTES. What impressed me most was his skill and precision. We've taken Luna to several different places for nail trims, including PetSmart, and no one has ever gotten her nails this short while making the process look so effortless. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing, and Luna handled it incredibly well. It was only $20, which is basically what we've paid elsewhere, but the quality of the trim was on another level. No long wait, no unnecessary stress for Luna, and her nails look fantastic. Sometimes it's the simplest experiences that make you immediately think, "Yep, we found our place." We definitely found ours. Luna officially has a new nail guy! Highly recommend Meadows, especially if you have a small dog or a pup who isn't a huge fan of nail trims. We'll absolutely be back! read more

My husband and I just rescued our pup, so he was in major need of a haircut! I was super nervous because I liked the idea of my dog having longer hair and being fluffy. I didn't want them to cut him too short, as I've heard grooming stories before. I was super impressed! He came out super cute and I love his short haircut! They did have to shave his chest because he had some matting, but they did their absolute best to keep his hair longer for me! I definitely trust them for my pups future grooms! read more

We adopted our new dog, Desi, on Sunday from a county shelter. She is a beautiful eight-year-old husky. Desi was in bad shape. Very unkempt and dirty. We wanted to get her cleaned up as soon as possible. I called Meadows Pet Care on Monday, and they were able to get us in Tuesday morning. When we arrived, she was greeted by their "Husky Expert". We discussed what the service was going to be in detail, and she gave me an approximate time when I could pick her up. Two-and-a-half hours later I found a very happy, clean, and deshedded Desi, ready to go home. It was clear that she was treated very nicely, and the woman did a great job with her. The price was fully in line with what I expected after talking with my daughter who has two Huskies she has taken to a few other places. This was good experience for me and my dog. We'll be back to Meadows Pet Care. read more

I rate a zero for the experience the groomer did not even clip any hair from my dogs face & very little clipping was done on her body.. this is a 9lb dog that he said he couldn't handle.. the owner was completely not help full when I complained & charged the full price of 80 dollars. Terrible customer service & the groomers are untrained.. big rip off place read more

I've taken my Sophie to Meadows Pet Care for the last 5 or so years. They've always done such a wonderful job and always took such good care of Sophie. We lost her yesterday after 15 years of loving her. I just wanted to say thank you to Meadows Pet Care for keeping my Sophie nice and groomed her last few years. We were able to take MANY adorable photos with her haircuts over the years. Highly recommend. read more

This is my second review! I been going here for a long time! I've taken my dog originally with Kristen and now James! Both trusted and groom very well! Wanted to give a shoutout to JAMES as I just started taking my dog with him! He's done an amazing job with Kona's fur. He really hears you out with what you envision and delivers! Easy-going and nice! read more

Was happy with services until they raised prices twice this year without any signage letting customers know of this change.

They always do such a great job with our dogs! They look beautiful, and prices are reasonable.

Always great haircuts and have trust in taking care of our pets. Thank you for great service.

Mary did a wonderful job grooming my little (giant) lady. She's a mix between a German Shepherd and a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier so she has a thick and longish coat that sheds a LOT!! I don't know anything on how a dog should be groomed, so all I said was to trim her coat, and clean up her uggs (my dog looks like she's wearing furry boots) and just clean up her face while maintaining the shaggy bearded look. Perfect, huh!? I'm very pleased. My dog looks like she could win a trophy at the AKC... if... you know... they had a mutt category (Although I bet I could slip her in as a "mini" Irish Wolfhound). Thanks y'all! read more

Jasper had a good time at the groomers. Kristen did a fantastic job! We definitely will return when it is time for another trim. When I went to pick him up, Jasper was not stressed or jumping all over the place. That is how I know that he was comfortable there. Thanks again Kristen for a wonderful job. read more

My dog suffered blunt force trauma to her face and their excuse was extremely unacceptable. My vet confirmed is was blunt force not caused by another animal. My dog now flinches and has separation anxiety! No dog should flinch unless you have done something extremely bad to them! I'm extremely saddened by this, I thought this was a place I could trust, I regret it thinking what else have they've done to my dog without me knowing. If anyone's fur baby suffered ANY Injury from this place call the Humane Law Enforcement line immediately at 619-299-7012. They are looking for additional cases, no matter how long ago it was report it! Prevent other fur babies from getting injured. I've attached pics from other reviewers so you can see there's a pattern here! We made a same-day appointment and were given a quote for our 2 dogs. They also gave us a first-time discount on tooth brushing. We had been going to a big corporate chain for dog grooming but were really dissatisfied with the services. We're happy to find this small business run by people that truly care about pets and their owners. They were very thorough, did all that said they would and also did a lot of extra brushing and a furminator for our dog with slightly longer fur. Ava, and Riley will definitely be back. read more

We've been taking our golden retriever to Meadows for over a year now, mostly every month, sometimes a few months in between. Julie is our favorite. She remembers him and knows what he needs. He has serious skin issues and anxiety while there. She's very sweet with him and I know he's being well cared for while I'm gone. He comes home exactly how I asked for and so silky soft and smells sooooo good! We're extremely pleased with Julie and Meadows pet care. I highly recommend them. read more

I found Meadows on Yelp after searching for a groomer for my maltipoo as I wasn't happy with my current one. It's as hard to find a good hair salon for your dog as it is for yourself! With this breed, her hair gets really long and can get matted. Meadows always gets us in pretty quickly and does a great job. read more

I was looking for a place that was open during the stay at home orders and Meadows came highly recommended by neighbors on Nextdoor.com. I called them around 11 am and they were available to get my pup in that afternoon. I don't know if they would normally have a quick opening but I was very happy because my dog was getting a bit shaggy. They gave her the full grooming experience and we are very happy with the results. read more

This is a great place to bring your pet for grooming. Julie has groomed my terrier puppy several times. I honestly think she has fun at the groomers. She looks great and struts around all day. Making appointments is very convenient and I know my pup will be well loved while there. read more

The Bottom Line: If you're looking for an outstanding self-service setup or the best groomers in San Diego County (words from my wife who was a professional dog groomer for a decade) for Poodles or dogs with challenging coats, don't waste your time anywhere else - Meadows is the full package and worth their value once you see the finished pup. My wife is a retired professional dog groomer and very particular with our standard poodle. We had been going to another local groomer in San Marcos (Sydnees) for about 2 years and had the same groomer the entire time and things turned for the worst after she left (Our dog may have been mistreated with the new groomer), so we were faced with the challenge of finding a 5 Star Groomer that we could trust. We took our standard poodle, Rob, to Meadows and tried out the self grooming to gauge the vibe and after the first visit we knew we picked a winner. They're baths are nice and full sized, equipment is top of the line, they have everything you need, and the service from Ron and Jim is just top-shelf all around. They're real down to earth and take the time to understand you and your pup. We had nothing but an amazing experience out of the last 7 times we've gone for self-service. So then my wife gave the green light for having them groom our poodle, Rob, and we were floored with the experience and the final look! Jim did an OUTSTANDING job and showed nothing but love for Rob. Rob ultimately went from initially being okay with going to a groomer, to hating the grooming experience (at Sydnees) and growling at me once I entered the parking lot, to LOVING the groomers once coming to Meadows!! So if you're looking for the best grooming salon in town for both self-service and full service, go to Meadows and tell them Nick sent you - you can thank me later! read more

Came to this groomer out of local convenience, but will be bringing my business elsewhere. The gentleman (I assume owner) behind the desk provides zero customer service, his lackadaisical approach is simply rude. Additionally, grooming instructions have not been followed after 3 visits and today my dog even came back with her leg bandaged and bloody (which he attributed to a non-existent "sore" that was "already there"). It doesn't make me happy to give hard earned money to someone who can't even be bothered with a question or say "hello" when I walk in and greet him. If you don't like treating people or dogs with the bare minimum of kindness, why do you work here and why should I trust you with my animal? No thanks. read more

This is a great shop. Clean, friendly people and my dog was happy the whole time. I have a very active, young female standard schnauzer who I can bath but not clip myself. Ron and his daughter did a great job. We have been to other places and have been happy but not always satisfied. I was hesitant because I got the referral thru work but this is the place we will return to. I am very picky about my dogs cut and lines and Meadows nailed it. Boise smells good and is so soft too. Thank you so much and see you again soon. Boise says thank you too. read more

Good groomers here. Pricing is decent. Not the best and not the worst. They will do what you ask but you have to be very specific and make sure you don't forget mention anything you want done. Otherwise they won't know. They will work with you if you're on a time crunch but if you have big dogs like my Siberian Husky and German shepherd expect a few hours at least. read more

The reply from meadows pet care to my bad review is just them trying to cover their own animal abuse. My dog was in their care on Monday December 13th, the picture was taken a few hours after I brought her home due to the bleeding from blunt force from the groomers. I will upload the date the picture was taken. The groomers said she was putting rubbing alcohol on the wound to stop the bleeding, she never asked me if she could soak an open wound she caused my dog causing my dog more pain then good. My vet said there's absolutely no way she could reach this area on her leg, only one puncture wound absolutely no teeth marks and the puncture wound she came home with was deeper then her longest tooth. I was shocked to see all the similar bad reviews on this business along with a handful of people who reached out to me and said their dog was also abused in their care. I only write bad reviews because the public deserves to know to beware of places that SHOULD NOT BE in business!! I was hung up on by the owner only because I asked to watch the footage they had to see what happened to my poor puppy. The person who replied to my review was not their December 13th when my dog was injured in their care. read more

Meadows across the street. It's a great little hidden gem! They don't crate your dogs, they have a little pen that they hang out in. They've always been flexible with my schedule..even when I call at the last minute. I have 2 fur babies and they always take them at the same time. Julie is our go to groomer, she's great with them and they always come home clean and pretty! Prices are reasonable. I would strongly recommend them! read more

If I could rate them 0 stars I would've, put my dog in their hands for his grooming, they gave him back to us with a blood filled eye and a limping paw, they were shady with telling us what had happened saying they didn't notice anything, and then proceeded to not apologize and make excuses, absolutely horrible service and horrible groomers, I'd strongly recommend not going here read more

I found this family owned and operated groomer on yelp. I was impressed with the way they cut little dogs. So I called they were able to get me in that day. The biggest problem for me is I have a cute little mutt that mats very easily. In the past the groomers always just shave her down to nothing. So I asked for them to do what they could to keep her fluffy but obviously clean her up. They did even better than I imagined! Thank you to the brother who said he would try his best. You exceeded my expectations. Pictures before and after read more

This is by far my favorite groomer, they offer fast friendly service. When I take my little pup I know he will be a bit difficult, but Meadows Pet Care has been so patient and lovingly handling him that I know I have found the right place. This is by far the best groom he has ever had! I've taken him to other groomers and he always comes out choppy on top of it taking them 4 hours plus. While here I had him back in just under 2 hours. I was able to chat a little bit with the groomer Kristen; and found out she has been grooming for about 10 years.... Seriously ask for her, She is the best! They're the best!! Our dog has been shedding incessantly now that the weather is getting warmer. We had been sweeping at least daily, sometimes even more. After her recent trip to Meadows Pet Care, we haven't had to sweep for three days! Her fur feels so soft and clean, and she seems so much happier with all of her extra fur gone. You can tell they did a thorough job, unlike other places in thOur dog can be very scared with new people, but the employees at Meadows do an incredible job with shy and difficult dogs.
