From the moment we walked in, we felt the care and attention Anahí has for her clients. My poodle went in super furry and he left looking gorgeous! I am extremely impressed with Anahi's meticulously designed haircut on Zutchka, my standard poodle! I also love that they give you a "report card" regarding the visit that includes before and after photos! I highly recommend Anahí and Boopin Snoots to anyone who is looking for high-end grooming at reasonable prices! I made two more appointments before leaving!

The BEST dog groomer we've come across in North County. We have four dogs: a Doberman, Cavalier King Charles, Mini Australian Shepherd and a long haired Chihuahua mix. Stephanie Hinger is wonderful. Her cuts are even, smooth and professionally done. She's kind to our dogs and kind to us. Her prices are also the BEST we've seen anywhere in San Diego. So good, in fact, that we tipped her extra out of gratitude.

Anahi is my dog's groomer and she is amazing! You can see the love she has for your furry children from the moment she greets you to the moments you leave with a well groomed pup. Stephanie and Anahi are patient and take care with anxiety prone dogs. My dog used to hate going to the groomer and even hurt himself from the stress at the last place we went to. The one on one care is perfect for us.

I was a bit skeptical about this place because it's not an actual business building.. but man.. she is amazing with my dogs.. I have a Pomeranian and a pit mix and both came back looking like a million bucks. Nails trimmed, fur nice and clean with a little bandana. Price was reasonable and the location was not bad at all. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a non corporate location.

Stephanie is amazing! My dog (Sadie) is super anxious with the groomer, especially with her paws and face. Stephanie always does a fantastic job and Sadie consistently gets compliments after a fresh cut! Her prices are super reasonable and I love that she gets to know the dogs she grooms, helping with all their special needs and anxieties. 5 stars!

Moving into a new neighborhood with the goal of replacing a groomer of 8 years for my rescue schnauzer was quite the daunting task. After three months of research, thanks to a comment on NextDoor, I found Stephanie - and I'm so happy and so is Poppy! Stephanie works from home, cares a lot about her work and lives about 10 minutes away from us! Poppy had her first groom there and she turned out so cute. Absolutely thrilled we found her, and feel so lucky too!

Stephanie does a great job with my 15 year old golden. Sully has a hard time standing and she is able to get beautiful results cutting his hair while he is lying down. I would highly recommend Boopin Snoots!

I brought my 12 year old female border collie to Boopin Snoots for the first time last week. Her long time groomer retired so I had to find a new place to use. I read the Yelp reviews for about 6 places near Escondido and hands down, Boopin Snoots appeared to be superior. I was not disappointed. Kerin did an amazing job. I don't think Piper ever looked better. We are so happy to have found a new grooming home for Piper. read more

Such a wonderful groomer. My little girl got the full work up. And the details like having the hair on her ears trimmed to angle back so they won't mat a quickly and around her snoot so we can keep up on her tear stains was perfect. One of those things you don't even realize is a thing until you see it done. Highly recommend. read more

Absolutely blown away by the grooming our two Welsh Terriers receive from Stephanie! We've been going to her for years now, and she consistently goes above and beyond. These pups can be a handful with their wiry coats and endless energy, but Stephanie handles them with incredible skill, patience, and care every single time. She does a beautiful job with the hand stripping which is something not every groomer offers or does well and it makes such a difference in their coats. They always come back looking like show dogs perfectly trimmed and true to their breed. You can tell she truly understands terriers and takes real pride in her work. We just moved into the area, and I was nervous to take my dog to a new groomer. We had such an amazing experience. Anahi instantly made me feel so comfortable trusting my dog with her. She was so sweet when she greeted us, and you can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does. She gave us a twenty minute heads up before Peach was ready. Avoid Boopin Snoots! They chewed up my dog's ears so bad with the clippers that his ears had blood, pus, and scabs for over a week. Not sure how someone could be so careless/bad that they would do this to both ears! His ears were in great condition before taking him here and they're never even matted. I typically trim him myself every 2 months but decided to have someone else do it this time. Big mistake that won't happen again. My dog also wouldn't walk normally for a week after the anal gland expression that they did. I can understand an afternoon of discomfort, but nothing lasting a whole week. Not sure what they did to him, but it was strange that he just wanted to sit down all time. read more

We've been to many different groomers and we finally found an amazing groomer that our dog loves! The prices are great, and the fact that Lacy gets much less anxiety than at other groomers says a lot, she always comes out super happy with her fresh haircut or bath/trim. Stephanie does a wonderful job with the grooming, Lacy is a sweet 16 year old with crazy scruffy hair and she comes home looking like she just got a fresh blowout. We have been going to Stephanie's since Sep 2019. She does a fabulous job grooming our Havanese Coco. It would take us 2 hours or longer to bathe and brush out Coco's hair. Stephanie is so efficient and does wonders with Coco. Not only does Coco gets her biweekly bath, Stephanie would detangle and shape her hair plus trim her nails in about an hour. Coco is always looking forward to her grooming visit with Stephanie every 2 weeks. She comes home smelling wonderful. read more

Local, independent pet groomer. Stephanie did a wonderful job with my very skiddish yorkie. I loved how quick she was too. I hate leaving our pup at a groomers for 3+ hours. If you need your dogs groomed, this is the place to go! I took my Husky and German Shepherd to Stephanie and I couldn't be more pleased! Stephanie bathed and groomed both of them, leaving them clean and beautiful as ever! Her and David did such a great job and they are both so sweet! 10/10 would recommend Boopin Snoots for your pet grooming needs! I'm even scheduling an appointment with her to come and trim my cat's nails because I'm so happy with her work! read more

Stephanie is great. I took my labradoodle to her for the first time today and I couldn't be more pleased. She looked and smelled wonderful. And most importantly, Stephanie loves dogs and my dog who is normally crying and shaking when I pick her up from other groomers was relaxed and happy. Which makes me very happy!! I have spent 9 years in the industry from bathing to grooming, all while studying to become a vet tech. After realizing my love for grooming I pursued a full time grooming career with school and specialty classes. In 2019 I opened my own part grooming business with hopes to reach out to lower income families in need of grooming.

He had me hold her while he used a Dremel to trim her nails, and the whole thing was over in about THREE MINUTES. What impressed me most was his skill and precision. We've taken Luna to several different places for nail trims, including PetSmart, and no one has ever gotten her nails this short while making the process look so effortless. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing, and Luna handled it incredibly well. It was only $20, which is basically what we've paid elsewhere, but the quality of the trim was on another level. No long wait, no unnecessary stress for Luna, and her nails look fantastic. Sometimes it's the simplest experiences that make you immediately think, "Yep, we found our place." We definitely found ours. Luna officially has a new nail guy! Highly recommend Meadows, especially if you have a small dog or a pup who isn't a huge fan of nail trims. We'll absolutely be back!

My dog was scared, as many dogs are when they go to a vet or groomer. The woman who came out to take him back was an older white woman. She literally DRAGGED him back by the leash. I told her 2-3 times he will 100% scream very loud like a human. After she dragged him back and closed the door, we did shortly after hear him scream. The woman quickly opened the door again and said to my wife and I, "he screamed and scared me! He is a bad dog! Bad boy!" I was so shocked this came out of an employee's mouth. I corrected her and told her that I warned her about the loud screams, and all she responded was, "well he scared me," then she walked away and went back to the closed room. We paid our bill but told the other woman at the counter the other lady was rude. We will NEVER come back. I should have asked to speak to a manger because that woman should NOT be working with animals. That was disgusting behavior. I did not feel that my dog was safe with her.

When I went to pick her up, she said that she was wonderful and she didn't have any problems with her nipping at her or anything when she trimmed her nails, so maybe it's just the way she manages the dog. I don't know, but what I do know is that we will definitely be back.

The other one is totally chill but I didn't want them to be crated for hours as so many grooming salons do to the dogs. I couldn't be happier with the grooming they both got. Since it was my first visit, Jolie (owner) asked alot of questions about the cuts I was wanting and more importantly she listened thoughtfully to issues that were important to me. My appointment was for 1.30 and 2 1/2 hours later, my happy unstressed dogs were out the door looking great! (note here - Salvador Dogi only books appointments for time she is available, the dogs are not kept for endless hours in crates). He had me hold her while he used a Dremel to trim her nails, and the whole thing was over in about THREE MINUTES. What impressed me most was his skill and precision. We've taken Luna to several different places for nail trims, including PetSmart, and no one has ever gotten her nails this short while making the process look so effortless. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing, and Luna handled it incredibly well. It was only $20, which is basically what we've paid elsewhere, but the quality of the trim was on another level. No long wait, no unnecessary stress for Luna, and her nails look fantastic. Sometimes it's the simplest experiences that make you immediately think, "Yep, we found our place." We are extremely disappointed by our most recent grooming experience at Cali Pets. We had used this business twice before and previously had positive experiences grooming our two wooly-coated huskies, which is why this outcome was so upsetting. Our dogs have long, thick coats that can mat quickly during seasonal changes, especially in spring. Our male husky, Arkin, is particularly prone to matting around the belly and sides. Because of this, we sometimes trim down problem areas at home before bringing him in, with the goal of preventing larger sections of the coat from becoming impacted while still preserving as much of his fur as possible. That is also what we expected from a professional grooming visit: help managing difficult areas while saving as much coat as reasonably possible. Before this appointment, we had already trimmed much of the fur on his belly and sides, while most of his back remained intact. When we picked him up, we were shocked to find that he had been shaved down almost entirely, including areas that we did not believe required that level of removal. In our view, this was an unnecessarily extreme result, especially in April and especially for a senior dog. Equally concerning was the lack of communication throughout the appointment. Both of our dogs were scheduled that morning. After waiting about 30 minutes, we were told our male dog would need to come back later. We adjusted our day and returned him at approximately 2:30 pm. Around 3:45 pm, we were told he would take longer than expected and would miss the originally quoted pickup window of 4:30-5:00 pm. After that, we did not receive a proper update. The shop closed at 5:30 pm, our calls later went to voicemail, and by after 6:30 pm we were concerned enough that we drove there ourselves to make sure everything was okay. When we arrived, we were told the staff had taken a break and were still finishing up. When we finally saw our dog, the result was far more severe than anything we had expected or would have agreed to had it been clearly explained in advance. We also disagree with several points in the owner's public response. In particular, it is not accurate to say service was refused. Both dogs were scheduled, and we were instructed to bring our male dog back later due to how the appointment was being handled. We also do not agree that this exact outcome was the only possible option. For reference, the three photos we included were posted to show context. One shows our pup before his appointment to give a sense of the length of his coat even when cut down significantly already. Another shows the result after this grooming visit. The third shows an example from a prior at-home trim, included to demonstrate that in the past we have been able to cut down problem areas while still preserving substantial fur rather than taking nearly the entire body down to the skin. That comparison is exactly why this result was so upsetting to us. If such an extreme shave was truly the only humane option, that should have been communicated clearly and directly beforehand. Had that been explained to us in plain terms, we would have declined and made a different decision for our dog. We are sharing our experience so other pet owners can make an informed decision. We have included before-and-after photos, as well as examples of prior trims done at home for comparison.
