Very basic hotel restaurant. A lot of food marked gluten free but actually isn't due to fryer and other contamination. Super noisy environment- kid friendly. I wish I'd taken a photo of the steamed broccoli that came with my meal - literally 6 inch broccoli stems and so thick I needed a steak knife, soggy carrots. The service was good but the food was nothing special. ordered the kids mac and American cheese and oddly delicious for a kids meal, flavor on point. The blackened mahi mahi sando had a nice slaw but missing the acidic like flavor that fish needs. The kitchen was heavy handed with blacken seasoning because the fist was jus a bit too salty. This must be one of the worst restaurants in Coachella Valley. We are long term residents having lived in the area for more than 20 years. When we showed up with a reservation for 6 people, there were no tables setup for 6. We sit down and they have a fixed price menu for Christmas, with no advance warning. No vegetarian options and very limited options in any event. That was not what we were looking for. Then we ordered drinks and they had no draught beer available because they had run out of CO2, really a major hotel ran out of CO2? Food when it eventually came was bland and had little taste. We had to wait a while for dinner. My ahi tuna salad was rotten. I spit out the first bite of tuna as it was so fishy. It tasted so bad. The waiter Eduardo was awful. He never said he was sorry and did not offer another meal. I went over to the manager after and told him what happened and he commented very smuggly that it was taken off the bill. He had an I don't care attitude. I am an owner here and am very concerned about this as Morgan's and the Mexican restaurant are very well managed with delicious food. Came here last year for New Years eve, sat outside where the festivities were happening in the early night, and boy was it poppin! Champagne bar, live music, and lots of lights. Demographic varies and all is welcome; dress up, dress casually, no dress code required. We plan to attend New Years eve at Twenty6 again this year. Made early dinner reservations for Christmas dinner this year and enjoyed the prefix menu for $55 each. Last year's price was $49...please don't raise price next year. Great place to grab a bite after a round of golf. Nice a cool inside on those hot days. Plenty of TVs playing all the sport games for the day. The menu is still a bit limited, guessing from covid, but still easy enough to find something tasty. Service was fast and very attentive. Food was very good and anything super fancy. So you feel comfortable arriving in your shorts and golf shirt to grab one of many adult beverages and a tasty meal. Desserts offered are a nice way to round it all off. The service is great - everyone is friendly and polite. Our drinks are always filled. The shot of smoothies is adorable. I get that resorts charge a little more b/c that's just what resorts do, but not really worth it. Slightly bummed there wasn't a breakfast buffet. I was stuck ordering off the menu which was small - like 4 items under each category - omelets, benedicts, and straight carbs. The food though - sigh. The omelet was bland and watery. Even salt and pepper couldn't make it palatable. The hash browns were ok. The fruit was ok. The toast was ok. Overall - breakfast was just 'OK'. Like cardboard OK. I couldn't even finish my food. I tried to make my other half eat it (which usually isn't a problem) he couldn't. It just felt like we got weekend leftovers b/c nothing seemed fresh. The only thing was edible were pancakes and bacon. The exceptional service couldn't rescue the mediocre food. I'm tempted to give it another go for lunch but I'm scared to be disappointed and robbed of my money. Update 7/29 (went from 2 star to a 3) Happy hour - the fam didn't want to go anywhere so we ended back here. The calamari redeemed this place. I love thicker calamari. I'd love this more if it had the tendrils too. Super tender. Super delish. Flat bread and kids meals are good too. Service is still on point (even though everyone is team valor). Update 7/30 Not sure if it's the same chef as yesterday but total 180 on the omelet situation. It was cooked right (not watery) and getting the side of steamed veggies really hit the spot. We came here twice because it's right on the property we stayed at, and we really enjoyed our experience both times. My girlfriend has a few food allergies and the staff was incredibly accommodating.
