Just left Tutoni's on George street in York pa. For restaurant week They are offering 3 course meals for $40 You could also choose to eat off the menu. The food tonight was AMAZING!!!!! I had both appetizers the leek soup. It was green and luscious. I also had the fried goat cheese salad. Both starters were really great. My main dish was cod over a bed of orzo. The cod was delicate and perfectly cooked laying over a bed of delicate orzo with a hint of briny capers very very enjoyable. For dessert you could choose from tiramisu or the olive oil cake with macerated cherry. You can't go wrong with either one. If you haven't eaten here yet. This little jewel is a must try. Beautiful ambiance and fabulous food. Not to forget our great waitress. She worked hard to make sure our experience was great. She got us to the show on time!! Thank you Tutonies job well done!!!!! read more

No one at the front desk for over 5 minutes 3 tables that came in after us got bread we had to request it Was to share the salad had to use the bread plate because they dropped off the salads and left, when we tried to say something the waiter was off and gone. Out of fettuccine noodles so the dish that was wanted was not available, my dinner was the veal it was thin dry no kind of sauce or gravy, but the salad on top was delicious. I teased about taking it none to use a frisbee for my dog the waiter asked if I wanted to take it home I told him no veterinary bills were too expensive. It even took 20 minutes for them to come back for payment. I will not be back or recommend but I can rector handsome can next door food and service was great read more

One of the best meals I've had in a while. Totally appreciate as well that they have a list of delicious mocktails! I had the fish of the day which was grouper, husband had buccatini with meatballs. The grouper was amazing! read more

Food and drinks are not too bad, but way overpriced. Service is okay. For same price, you definitely can find better place to eat

My husband and I had a delicious meal at Tutoni's last night. From start to finish it was excellent. Hostess, our waitress, everyone so friendly, personable and helpful. We started with the cheese board, then field greens, and finally meatballs and pasta (hubby) and Gnocchi with short ribs. My only complaint--we can't go back again tonight. Seriously, the food is all homemade and in-house. So much better than the chain restaurants in York and Hanover. And one last thing, the ambiance is so cozy and inviting. read more

Valentine's Day dinner 8:15; my wife did the wine tasting, then the server poured my glass and never filled my wife's glass. I requested butter for the bread as i don't care for olive oil, the butter was ice cold and tasteless. Not like Presidents or Echire butters. I ordered the bone in rib eye cooked medium rare. it was served between medium and well done. The calamari was excellent. The serve was un attentive. We try to patronize York restaurants, but Lancaster has so much more to offer. Back to Belvedere and or Josephines or Prime 401. York needs a lot of help in the restaurant arena. read more

Excellent true Italian cuisine! We had Cheese and Charcuterie platter, gnocchi and Linguini calcio e pepe. Everything was excellent! We were born and raised in Italy for 40 years, used to home-made ingredients and cooking from scratch. Tutoni's was the best Italian food I tasted in years for a very decent price. Atmosphere is welcoming and elegant at the same time. read more

Came to this place on a random Wednesday. Our sever was bad. Took him a long time to even see us for drinks. Also took him a very long time to get our orders. I think he only saw us 3 - 4 times all night. Not a big deal but it was annoying. Our appetizer, the buratta, was not very good. It was just sort of hard to eat and not a lot of crackers for two of us. Definitely not worth the money. However, our entrees were very very good. The place redeemed itself with the entree. I got the chicken gemelli and my date got the bucatini with meatballs. Both were delicious. Would definitely go back but order a different appetizer and hopefully get a different server. read more

It has been a while since a restaurant blew me away like Tutoni's. It started off with an early afternoon call from the GM Jake, explaining a wedding booked them up but we could be seated by the bar with complimentary wine for two. After wine, we started with calamari and two cocktails, the "6 foot 7 foot" and "The King George." Both drinks and app were fantastic. We both went with the Black Garlic Fettuccini and it did not disappoint! A fantastic mushroom sauce with sun dried tomatoes to compliment. The staff was extremely intelligent, the bartender Jess, was knowledgable on all drink and menu items with great recommendations. read more

I have been to Tutoni's so many times and would have always given this place 5++ until tonight. Our waiter was slow to provide us with water. We ordered a bottle of wine and it sat on the bar forever before we received it. We ordered apps and dinner at the same time. Ironically enough people that came in after us were served dinner before we were. Then another larger group came in of whom apparently knew the manager. They had her and our waiter of which both were more attentive to them then us who at this point were sitting here for 1.5 hours. We asked where our dinner was and finally came out when we said we were not happy. Even more ironic the larger annoying group next to us revived their dinner the exact same time as we did. At which time they said the manager "hooked" them up. This just goes to show you that this restaurant caters to those that the workers know versus "random" patrons. Such a disappointment to Toni's normal standard of service. read more

They left the bone in the skate. Big no no! That's a first for me. Lack of salt on most things. They didn't season the grits. However The cocktails were on point. The service was about a 4/5. Meatballs were really hard likely over mixed. Other then that pasta dishes are likely the way to go ...stay with something safe. Second time here first time was when they first opened food was ok. Needs work read more

My favorite Italian anywhere in the world (including Italy)! This place has a wonderful atmosphere and amazing cocktails too. Get the gnocchi, you won't be disappointed. read more

Just had my first visit to Tutoni's this evening. Extremely fresh and you can taste it. Pasta, sauce, meat, just fantastic. Nothing out of a can here!! Service from Vanessa was exceptional. The flow of the meal was perfect. Would highly recommend Tutoni's. read more

Went for Fathers Day. It was a special Brunch menu with signature cocktails. Everything was fantastic. We tried their French toast, ricotta pancakes, bacon, potato gratin, and beef rib hash with the house punch, Bloody Mary and the "Dad Jokes" cocktail. Service was perfect and friendly. We made reservations which they manage through Yelp which was convenient. Even got a chance to go to the upstairs bar and taste different wines. I'll definitely be back to try their dinner menu or just to catch a drink upstairs as it's that warming. read more

Had a great experience here! Girlfriend and I have been wanting to try this place for a while and it was definitely worth it! Pork belly appetizer was very good! Pasta mains that we got, linguine and the raviolis were darn good! Can definitely tell the pastas are made fresh/in house. We'll be back! read more

We was visiting the city for a couple of days and, luckily, we was able to find this culinary gem... Excelent service and exceptional ambiance. They proudly serve local produce and have an innovative list of cocktails. I love the decoration of the place. Also, you can appreciate fine arts from local artist while you are dinning Making all that a five star experience... read more

Some of the best Italian I have had in awhile. We had the Rigatoni and Pomodoro sauce. Simple but great.

Food is amazing!! I had the chicken, hubby had the steak and we were both truly satisfied. Mashed potatoes...superb!

I visited the bar upstairs....I love the "idea" of this place! It's got a great vibe and everything going for it. A great cocktail menu, wine sampling machines and atmosphere all around. We purchased the wine card for $30. The first $5.00 per 1 oz taste was disaster. Something was very wrong with this Pinot noir. We spoke with management and they happily refunded our wine card. The second wine was white and supposed to be chilled but wasn't and the machine gave me a $10 pour instead of a $2.00 pour so we asked to refund the card altogether. The management complied and really went above and beyond. They refunded our wine in full. I love this place and I want to see places like this survive. The bartender is lovely and competent and the manager is great. read more

Best in York. This is our go to when we want to enjoy a lovely meal and nice cocktail, or two. Skip the bland dessert "shots", but their dinner specials are generally amazing and you cannot go wrong with a King George (their signature drink). Service can be slow, but it's never bad. read more

Excellent! The only thing that was disappointing was that we picked here because my husband was looking forward the potato gnocchi with the short ribs, and they did not have it. However, our waitress explained that they did not have the short ribs available, and they just made the gnocchi and it needed time to set. I appreciate the fact they don't try to rush it out to people and take care with their food, it shows their quality. My dinner was amazing and different, salt cod cannelloni. I had a great Sauvignon blanc to go with it. I should also add that the service was great. This wasn't our first visit here, and we will of course be back. read more

We happened upon this place and were blown away by how fantastic it was. All their pastas are made in-house, and their foods are all locally sourced. We had amazing brussels sprouts to start, with pear cosmos. Then a cheese tray that was amazing. I then had plain spaghetti and meatballs - there was nothing plain about it! My friend had the gnocchi with spare ribs - best gnocchi she's ever tried (and she's from Jersey!). Great decor, small and upscale. We lucked out without reservations, but it was a Tuesday night. read more

Omg, what a disappointment! We traveled from Florida to visit friends and went to Tutoni's for dinner. To start with the lighting was very dim but we were seated quickly. We got our drink order in and then placed are order, all pretty standard timing. After the entrées arrived it all went downhill from there! One time (right after the food arrived) someone came to ask if everything was ok, after that we had to flag down people to get additional drinks and more wine. Who does this? No one even asked if we wanted dessert?! And for 6 people with a bill of $387 without a tip, you would think that they would want to pay a little attention. The food wasn't even that good! They've certainly lost our business! The tip is DON'T GO THERE! read more

"Perhaps the chef was away...". My wife and I decided to try Tutoni's for our anniversary on a Monday evening. Our initial impression was good even though the dining rooms were fairly empty. The wait staff inquired if we had visited previously and when we said "no" we got a lovely description of Tutoni's approach to food - all scratch preparations, no canned food used no freezer on site, and only locally sourced foods. Since Italian is our favorite and we liked the idea of locally sourced foods we were eager. Unfortunately a few missteps began. They were out of idea tea and offered no alternatives. We selected a cheese and charcuterie plate and made our choices. A few minutes later one of the kitchen staff appeared and was genuinely apologetic that one of our selections was not available. We ordered a 1st course of pasta to be shared between the two of us since we each ordered an entree. When the pasta course was delivered, it was presented in a single bowl. When my wife explained this was to be split as a first course it should come in two plates portioned by the kitchen staff. The asst. waiter was thoroughly confused . No cheese was offered when the pasta course was presented, neither was fresh pepper, so we had to request. My entree pork Milanese was heavily over cooked with the bottom black in many places and dried out. My wife's chicken entree was excellent . With the number of missteps we're betting the owners were not on site.We hope this was not their best effort. read more

Over the years we keep coming back. The liquor license has made a huge difference in the right direction, not that this place needed any real improvements to begin with. The cocktails are great, food still is amazing, and the atmosphere is fantastic. We love coming by any time we are in York! Can't wait to come back and see what else is new on the ever changing menu of amazing food read more

My husband and I were happy to see an Italian restaurant downtown. We went for lunch last week. The inside is beautiful, we were greeted and seated immediately. The waitress was friendly and proud of their farm to table process. We ordered lunch specials but, were both sadly disappointed. The entrees did not have flavor or pizazz we expect from fresh ingredients. We did look at the dinner menu before leaving but, our lunch experience did not leave us wanting more. read more

The food was underwhelming. Stuffed calamari is a unique idea, but results in overcooking. Shrimp risotto was good. The mini dessert shooters were too dry, they need some work. Maybe my expectations were a bit too high going into dinner. Management responded very well to a minor issue and the service was friendly and helpful. Corking fees? Seriously, who does this in York? If I return, hopefully it will be a better experience. read more

Food was excellent. I had the potato gnocchi. Great gravy sauce with ribs. Wine was excellent also.

Antiquing in York is always a pleasure...and finding a wonderful restaurant makes for a perfect day...well, we found a great place here, Tutoni's! Kind of hard to find a parking spot, as its downtown, but well worth the effort! My wife had the meatball sandwich and I had the panini and they were absolutely delicious...our waitress Sarah was an angel... We'll be back for sure! read more

Best Italian restaurant in York! Fresh produce, fresh pasta, imaginative specials! You cannot have a bad meal here. And the wine list... First visit, we love the concept. There is something for everyone on the menu. My brother-in-law was with us and he's pickier than a finicky feline when it comes to restaurant food. He was able to find both a salad and an entrée to meet his needs. I had the Gazpacho of the day, a Curry Cantaloupe. Wow, fantastic. I ordered the last bowl in the restaurant, thanks to the professional hustle of our waitress, Gabrielle. My ordered the Charcuterie plate as my entrée and it was fantastic. The pate was in-your-face intense and delicious. The restaurant is BYOB but there might be a corkage fee, I'm not sure. In any case, the décor is great, the food is great, the service was great. Very nice. read more

Pasta made daily and was tender and flavorful. David had the bolognese and really enjoyed it. I had the meatballs and they were tender without a lot of filler. The bread is a sun dried tomato and rosemary which went perfectly with the house rosemary olive oil. This is a farm to table place and use local farmers to sustain support their menu. We had the cheese plate with cheeses from Lancaster and honeycomb that was sweet yet smooth. The small desserts were a perfect sweet ending with the the Oreo cream being the one to try. It is BYOB for now. Sarah was a wonderful server and we will ask for her next time. read more

Really excellent dinner before Strand Capitol show. Food, ambiance and service all good. Menu varied and interesting.

Started with the Tutoni's old fashioned, which was very good, and well prepared. Then received the scallop crudo as an app, which was one of the best crudos I've ever had. However, I got the gnocchi Anna Romano I believe was the name, and it was such a let down. The spare rib was very good, however getting gnocchi, I expected pasta. It came as mushy medallions which tasted like burnt cheese. Like where is the gnocchi? $22 for basically spare rib is overpriced. Should be $16-$18, especially with how it came. My girlfriend also loved the crudo, and did not like her entree all that much. She got the duck confit pesto dish. We also got snicker like dessert, which was pretty good. The atmosphere was cool, and food was good except for the entree. But, the entree was so bad it is hard to come out with a good experience. read more
