My friend and her family treated me to dinner at Victor's last year. We made a reservation online which turned out to be a good decision because it was very busy. The building is an old church from the 19th century. The restaurant is beautiful, but there's really not much of a waiting area. When we checked in, we had to wait a few minutes right by the door. The front patio was busy and servers were hustling during the dinner rush so it felt like we were in the way. At one point, my friend's elderly mother was coming up the stairs outside to come in and one of the server's let the door close in her face. I don't think the server realized she was standing behind her, but it was very off putting. Once we were seated, the service improved. I started with the Basil Gimlet. It was really good and refreshing. I also had a Pear Martini which I enjoyed. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Piccata. It was delicious! I enjoyed the lemon butter sauce and capers. When I placed the order, I asked to sub the spaghetti with angel hair pasta. Our server said they didn't offer angel hair which I found a little strange. He then told me he wasn't even sure what angel hair was, but said that he's had other customers request it. The whole exchange was odd and funny. I didn't get a chance to go back to Victor's on my last trip, but I would certainly be open to dining there again if I have the opportunity.

The end to an amazing meal!

The picture tells the end to an amazing dinner with friends ... amazing martinis and cocktails, great port and home made lemon cello, and house coffee ... Ottimo gusto! What you don't see is the cleaned plates from dinner. The Halibut special was so good. The staff were personable and warm. Ella and McKemnie were such a great waitresses. Josh poured the best drinks.

We had an amazing night at Victors for a birthday. We had the calamari which was probably the best calamari that I've ever had. The chicken piccata and the chicken parm were also very very good. We had such a good time, our waitress was fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect for an Italian restaurant. We will definitely be back.

Came here for an intermission of a volleyball game in York PA. The place looks like a church from the outside. Bartenders were pleasant. Served us some ice cold draft beers We also had a few bites. Ordered the calamari which was just okay. And the bruschetta that was just one piece of bread topped with mozzarella and some cherry tomatoes on top. Not bad tasting. We didn't really come for food. Just wanted to wet our palettes!

Door to church, I mean the restaurant

soooo good and such a random find. Was in the area for a wedding and the night before we still had to eat so we stumbled across this place which indeed looks like a church and is tucked in the middle of a residential area I already knew this would be good. And true to how I feel about most italian dishes eating my leftovers the day after tasted even better! I apparently was on a scallop binge because I got the scallop appetizer and the scallops and risotto. Also got the meatball appetizer. All three were great choices each preparation of the scallops was delicious and the meatball wasnt over mixed and it was seasoned well. Drink menu was cute, and over all ambiance was adorable we were literally sitting in the courtyard of an old church. The day we went there was live music inside which spilled outside for the enjoyment of the entire restaurant. definitely stop here if youre in the area and looking for a good meal and nice time

My wife had the fish and chips. Food was good and plentiful. Service was very good, ate with some old friends, there was no rush, they gave us plenty of space. The menu is varied, specials are not typical fare, but also do not become science projects like so many "creations" do. The food is left to speak for itself. Affordable. Two small criticisms, can be loud in certain areas. They are very accommodating in moving you. The parking lot. Walking over the bridge can be an issue with cars. Worth the trip.

It sounds bold, and it is, but it works beautifully. The broth is rich and deeply savory, the cheese pull is perfect, and the crispy rings add a texture you never knew the classic was missing. The pork chop remains the star of the menu--huge, expertly seasoned, and cooked with precision. It's widely considered the best in the city, and honestly might be the best in the state. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly. Between the inventive dishes and the warm atmosphere, The First Post remains a must-visit for anyone who loves great food done exceptionally well.

My daughter got spaghetti and meatballs. Her spaghetti looked like the pasta water wasn't drained at all. Spaghetti and sauce just sitting on top of water. She said the meatballs were very delicious though. I got the lasagna with a bowl of Italian Wedding soup. My meal and soup were perfect, I just wish the soup portion wasn't so small. About 4 spoonfuls and it was gone. The portions of our meals though fit the hefty price. We each took our leftovers home and still had enough for almost 2 whole meals each. Our meals came with probably the worst garlic bread I've ever had. First it didn't come out until about 10 minutes into our meal and when it did it was basically hard stale bread. Other than a few green specs I wouldn't have been able to tell you it was garlic bread. Still not sure if was.
