My second course for Valentines meal

Worst meal ever! Went here expecting to have an amazing meal as we have in the past. They did a limited menu for the holiday for $75 per person. My husband and I sat down and a plate for two was placed in front of us with 2 bugles filled with dip 2 celery sticks and 4 pieces of pepperoni- that was the first course. Second course my husband got meatballs 3 minis on a plate and I the salad without dressing no dressing present. Third course we both got beef tips. Awful presentation- looked like vomit on a plate with three grapes why??? We ordered coffee which came out cold and peanut butter pie which was terrible. I had glass of wine and my husband soda and bill came to $204. I actually thought we were being spoofed. Place is terribly run down. So sad.

Cozy romantic dining cove at Alfred's Victorian

Romantic setting and scrumptious food! You can never go wrong at Alfred's Victorian! Been a loyal customer for 7 years and keep coming back

I came here for the sole purpose of trying Beef Wellington and I was not disappointed. The building itself it very luxurious or perhaps more so chic. There's lots of ornate features such as the stain glass windows which are a nice touch to the dining experience. Now, it goes without saying that given the prices, this is more of a special occasion restaurant, but for me trying Beef Wellington was a special occasion and it was worth every penny. If you've never been, that's what you should order and if you have been but never tried it, go back soon! (Can't wait to try the Lobster Wellington next!)

A favorite. The decor, menu, and wine list are always a treat. We try to get here at least twice a year.

Update I posted this on Karen's catering, should be here…read more In summer 2012 I attended a wedding at Harmony Hall, run by Karen Catering. I did not like anything about the wedding, the food was served cold. I had a steak that was so cold I could barely cut into it. My fiance, at the time, had a salmon and he nearly choked on a bone!! It was so gross. The bride of this wedding is family and anytime you bring up her wedding she nearly cries. She told us she was promised so many details that never came through. Karen ruined her wedding. Fast forward to 2013 and I am planning my own wedding, I contacted the Civic Club who said (at that time) Karen was their exclusive caterer. I contacted her and she was extremely difficult to work with. She refused to meet us with out us signing a contract that we would definitely use her. She didn't want us to waste her time. Upon asking around I heard more horror stories from friends in the media that she is awful to work with. At the end of the day I was devastated I couldn't use the Civic Club for my wedding due to Karen. Now in 2015 after speaking with the Civic Club board they told us all about the slew of complaints they received from events held with Karen. The only upside is now as I am planning my Baby Shower the civic club has opened up to a select few caterers including Patti. Patti has been a DREAM to work with, and everything that Karen is not.
