Espresso Eclipse

Located inside the Hershey Hotel, this spot is a must-visit if you're in Pennsylvania for Hershey. The décor reflects the hotel's rich history, adding to the charm. We stopped in for drinks and sat at the bar, while most people around us were enjoying the brunch. The spread looked incredible, but we learned that during brunch hours, they don't offer a regular menu--so no small snacks like peanuts or crackers were available. Our bartender, Travis, was fantastic. I ordered the Fig and Starry Night, and it did not disappoint--I was feeling a little tipsy since we hadn't eaten beforehand! My friend had the customized Espresso Eclipse, made dairy-free, and she really enjoyed it. The ambiance was great, with a circular bar offering a nice view from any seat. I'd love to come back on a hungry stomach to try their weekend brunch--it was packed even during the off-season!

We recently spent an evening at The Circular in Hershey and we were significantly underwhelmed. While many love The Circular, we struggle to understand why. Whimsical as it may be, the service, specifically management, and food do not match the cost. Our servers were generally very good. However, one of the male runners had black fingernail polish that looked like it was applied with an El Marko magic marker. At this level of dining, servers and runners should be sharp and clean, as should their hands that are presenting dishes to guests. As a flagship restaurant of the Hershey Hotel, one would think that the experience would have a Hershey Chocolate theme. This is not the case and is a failing of management. So many lost opportunities here. Our interaction with the manager on the floor was very disappointing. Not a smile to be had from the manager. Just barking orders to staff and a miserable countenance. This transfers to guests and can ruin a dining experience. Now on to the food. It was mid. Every dish was just mid, or less. The Steak Tartare was the worst we've had. The red onion marmalade made the meat taste like metal, making it almost inedible. The baby gem caesar salad was dry and boring and the lobster bisque was, frankly, gross. More could be said about the entrees, but out of respect for this long-established restaurant, we'll end this one here. No plans to return.

We've been here three times, once for their Bunch and then dinner. It is located inside the hotel Hershey and the circular room is in fact "half" circular with wonderful views of the estate. The architecture in the building leading to the restaurant is fantastic. The first visit the food and service was great. The brunch with a chocolate themed with a little bit more energy. The ambiance is good. However, food quality and presentation on the last visit was par for the course.Great staff and host!

My family is very familiar with Hershey but we hadn't yet been to the Circular. We heard great things so after my cousin graduated from college we went here for dinner as a family. The restaurant and hotel is beautiful! Very classy place and friendly staff. The food was also amazing! I got the scallops, filet mignon, and lemon blueberry dessert. I have a gluten allergy and they took that very seriously and even made sure they took off a fried piece on the scallops to avoid cross contamination. Everything was so good and I'd come back for the food for sure. The only downside was the wait. We waited forever for everything. Even drinks. They also forgot a few things like my family's bread and some drinks. Even though it was a Friday night they weren't that busy so it was a bit frustrating. At least the food was worth the wait!

Made to order omelette

The morning breakfast buffet had some decent items. The made to order omelette was terrible - picture included below. Our waitress asked for our drink order but never brought them over. Not the best experience. A lot of the food needed to be refilled too.

Food, Services & Ambiance were spectacular. Manny, our server did a great job. My pan seared scallops and king salmon was cooked perfectly. Full of flavor and side vegetables were perfectly cooked not too soft, just perfect. Filet mignon could be cut with a butter knife. Chocolate for two dessert topped off a great meal.

Cheese platter

Fancy dinner at the hotel. Had a great steak and a divine dirty martini. The caramel truffles was a nice treat. We should have saved room for the chocolate martinis! Beautiful dinner to cap off a relaxing spa weekend.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. The service was fantastic and so was the ambiance. The food was just a little overpriced for the serving size in my opinion. The salted caramels however were absolutely delicious!

I had a delicious filet mignon here the other day and short rib a year prior. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Hershey.

What kind of food items are served during Sunday Brunch? Is prime rib served every Sunday? What about the oysters & tuna poke?

Yes prime rib, shrimp, oysters, not sure on tuna poke but they do have some raw fish. It's def worth a try if you in Hershey.

A visit to the brewery provides fresh pours of the classics as well as a host of specialty brews (e.g., bourbon barrel-aged Mad Elf Grand Cru, which is nothing short of magical). Many of these brews are high-octane. Handily, Troegs also serves food - and it's not the typical compliment of fried bar nibbles. The menu offers a wide and changing variety of dishes of all sizes that are damn near gourmet (e.g., braised short rib, duck confit, crab lasagna). The Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese is an obvious must. And I like the way they do payment. After you sit down, a member of the wait staff will find you, take your name, credit card, and (first) beer order, after which you can just give your name to the bar or snack bar and they will add order(s) to your tab. Also, epic gift shop (that sells beer and all related things).

Wow! My companion…read moreand I stopped in on an early Saturday evening after months of "you know, we should try that place sometime." We are glad we finally did. 1762 was formerly known as The Warwick Hotel, and that's the prominent markings you'll see from the street. It is a really excellent spot on the square in Hummelstown with cozy charm and exceptional service. My companion was initially skeptical when she saw wine on tap but immediately changed her mind when she saw the offerings--good quality and reasonable price point. The beer selection is also good. Not a huge number of beers but well-selected. Although we didn't have a full meal we did enjoy the sausage and honey appetizer, which was outrageously tasty with sausage from a local butcher in Hershey. Service was efficient and friendly, especially considering the bar (where we sat) was hopping. We also met the owner, Dave, who rolled up his sleeves to assist at the bar while also personally greeting customers. Our biggest regret is that we waited so long to finally visit...and we'll definitely be back soon.

We started off with the mushroom flatbread, which was delicious. Hubby had the mahi-mahi special and I had a shrimp dish. We will definitely come back when we are in the area!

There were lots of choices on the menu and Chuck guided us through our choices and was so helpful. Cocktails were exceptional. The charcuterie board we had to start our dinner was wonderful. It was so fresh and the cheese, meats, honey, etc. were so tasty. It was a nice large board of yummy food. Wings were very good with their sauces. We all had various steaks with some of us adding a crabcake to the plate. The steaks were cooked perfectly and all of them arrived at the same time! Crabcakes were as good as the steaks. Most of us had the glazed carrots and Boursin mashed potatoes as our sides. They were so delicious and freshly prepared. Compliments to the chef! Best carrots and mashed potatoes I have ever had. It was really upscale eating in a cozy, comfy environment that wasn't pretentious. Our waiter refreshed our water and delivered second drinks quickly. Chuck was humorous and very knowledgeable and attentive. Most of us have leftovers to enjoy. We were so full that we had one dessert to share. Lava cake with ice cream, and it was vanilla with caramel which was so delicious and different. The manager came upstairs to make sure everything was ok and chatted about the place and answered questions we had about where the fresh food was sourced. This was a really excellent Farm to Table dining experience that delivered in every way. We all can't wait to come back to try other menu items! BRAVO! There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!
