The food was amazing and Roxy and Steve, the owners, were wonderful to work with... super accommodating and offered great suggestions for both my breakfast and lunch. They were early to arrive for set up and made sure to bring plenty of to go containers for food that was left over. Chatterbox is our go-to place for egg salad sandwiches on thick slabs of cheese bread. When my two friends and I arrive, Roxy already knows our order. The egg salad portion is more than generous; it's huge. Hint: order a side salad with the meal. It boasts Roxy's secret dressing. Super cute building and decorated inside. Very mom and pop feel! Everyone was super nice and welcoming. A must try is the hula Han sandwich..best mayo ever! Portions are huge but a little on the pricier side for Hummelstown in my opinion, but definitely makes sense for this small business owner vibe. read more

I wish there were more than 5 stars, because this place deserves infinity!!!! Our very first visit, Saturday 12/7/24. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything is homemade and you will want to come back everyday to try something new on the menu. I took a piece of chocolate cake with peanut butter icing home to eat later and thought I went to heaven on the first bite!! I learned from Chef Roxy that her place had been open for 30 years in Hummelstown PA., but she hardly sees anyone recommending her place online. How can you not love this place?!???? It's gorgeous and the food albeit...... simple is delicious!!!!

Atmosphere inside feels homey but I chose to go outside on this gorgeous day. The porch was shaded. I walked in and got a table quickly, even though the place was packed with people on a weekday afternoon. (Must be a well know local hang out) The fresh homemade lemonade was cold and refreshing. The lunch to my surprise had fresh ripe fruit, a salad and the most amazing chicken salad. I was full and kept wanting to eat it. Even when I got a box to go..in the car I kept nibbling on it. I'm visiting from out of town and was on the hunt for a decent cup of coffee. I found this place not realizing it was a sit down restaurant. I let them know I've been searching for coffee but was not prepared to sit down. they helped me anyway and got me a nice cup of coffee to go! To the male server that assisted me THANK YOU so much for your kindness and patience. I will definitely be back to have a full meal based on the great customer service. My wife and her sister went to lunch recently. They have been there before. This experience was full of both good and bad news. First the good - the food as always is outstanding. Everything they ordered was delicious as previously. Now comes the not so good news. This outstanding food was served on paper plates and the soup in a paper bowl with cheap clear plastic utensils. And, in the words of my wife's sister, "they nickel and dimed me". A request some additional topping for a sandwich was met with a $2 charge, and a $2 charge to use a credit card. Perhaps they should add an additional 25 or 50 cents to selected menus items and go back to serving it on traditional plates and bowls with flatware as well. It's a toss up between food & presentation as to whether or not they will be back. read more

The lobster bisque.... That's only served on Fridays is absolutely divine. Don't go too late in the afternoon or it could be gone. I also had the spinach quiche, Roxy's lemonade and a HUUUUGGGEEE slice of chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. All were amazing!!! The quiche by itself was a bit pricey while everything else was reasonable but they have combo deals for the quiche so it will balance itself out if you buy it that way. This is definitely a hometown fav to try whether you are from the area or not. I've lived here for years and I'm kicking myself for not going sooner!!! Such a great place. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I took my field hockey team here for a team lunch and they were unbelievably accommodating, polite, clean and the food was so tasty. My favorite place to have lunch in the Hummelstown/ Hershey area. All of the food is freshly made by Roxanne, and I haven't had a sandwich or quiche I haven't loved. I was really looking forward to this place because it has a super cute history and the outside itself is cute! However, a good history can't save this place. You're paying the price of a great meal but you're being served mediocre food on plastic plates and paying for more. The service was poor, our server took my coffee for me and never refilled it and just gave us the check instead. I never got a water, and it wasn't even busy when we went. If you're only open for 3 hours you should at least have a decent menu and great service. Two stars because the lobster bisque was good. read more
