We have lived in the area for 6 years and had never tried Bill's until last week. Too bad for all the other restaurants in town as this is now our new go to spot for breakfast. We are also going back to try lunch. The server has worked there for 24 years and does an amazing job. The food is great, and it is about ONE HALF the price of other restaurants in the area. I feel like I jumped into a time warp to the early 90s with these prices. We got a basically identical breakfast for $100 at Stacks (another diner close by) the day before. At Bill's the same thing (with extra meats added in) came to $30. Everyone was incredibly friendly and the food was good! A lot of the places associated with Hersey Park are a money pit. In the past I got good breakfasts at Bills. Today I went for lunch and had the worst sandwich I ever had there. I ordered a tuna melt. The tuna was blackened on the grill (???) before putting it in the bread. It was supposed to have cheese but when I told the waitress there was no cheese she simply said the cook said he put cheese in it. Well, he didn't and she didn't offer to make it right. My friend asked for extra may on her turkey club and got no mayo. She took 3/4s of it home. In the past the place used to be pretty full at lunch time but today only one other table. Bill's is a wonderful family-owned establishment with a homey vibe and incredible prices. The stuffed French toast was delicious. The portions are filling but not too big. The servers are very friendly and add to the homey feel. The interior is also COVID-friendly as they have installed Plexiglass between booths. Had to give 5 stars when breakfast for two was only $15! My family and I had a wonderful breakfast at Bills. It is in a quaint little town with a wonderful Hallmark store across the street. I fell in love with this town the minute we pulled onto Main Street. I am so glad we skipped the hotel restaurant and the other places around Hershey. This place is a real hometown diner with delicious food and friendly service. We literally wanted to adopt our waitress!! We were a group of 7 and they were able to accommodate us by putting together some tables. We are hardy eaters so we each ordered breakfast and a few plates of biscuits with gravy to share. Everything was terrific. Scrambled eggs cooked perfect, not too runny not too dry, bacon was crispy, ham had a nice caramelization and pancakes were fluffy. this place almost makes me want to move to Hummelstown so I could become a regular at Bills! read more

Stopped in today and had a Western Omelet and Home fries, my wife had a Ham club. The ham was delicious in both, not lunch meat. The home fries were excellent, my coffee was topped off as it should be. Great service, we have found a new lunch and breakfast spot. Love the old building, very clean inside and out. read more

The staff is very friendly and food was good. Portions good. However, The men's bathroom is totally disgusting! I wouldn't use it. It was so gross and I'm sure it was not cleaned for awhile. Hairs everywhere pee and poop stains on seat I wouldn't feel safe even use paper to sit on it and I really had to go! I wondered if they neglected the cleanliness of the bathroom what about the kitchen etc. Just saying It is a mom and pop place service great, price was very reasonable but seriously the bathroom ruined my breakfast! read more

Bill's restaurant is straight out of a time capsule, walking in I felt like I was on a 1950's movie set. Everyone looked the part and so did the decor of the place. After sitting down and looking around you notice everyone knows each other by name and the chefs are just cutting with all the tables like they have known each other for decades (and probably have). Now let's talk about the food - I ordered a Greek omelette with home fries grits and bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly and portioned nicely. My only gripe was that the food had very little salt for my taste but with the clientele being a older crowd I understand that and they do have salt shakers on the table ( plus everything else syrup, half and half, butter.....). My kids got pancakes and stuffed French toast and both where amazing. The French toast was by far the best French toast I ever tasted. My wife had the 1-1-2 and that's a pancakes a French toast and 2 pieces of meat. All was great and the prices where very cheap. We ordered extra sides like bacon, scrambled eggs, grits and the bill was still $28 for 4. It's cash only so be prepared !! read more

We have lived in Hummelstown for over 2 years now and we finally decided to give Bills a try. We were very glad we did. It's a small,quaint, small town little diner. It's not the size of the other local two nor, does it contain a bulky menu with millions of choice. There is a satisfying array of options. We walked in and sat I counted the seating and I think maybe no more that 40 people can be in there at a time and they have a cute little counter. I had three egg whites and bacon and my husband had a Belgian Waffle with chipped beef. Of course for my meal it's pretty basic and perfect. The bacon was yummy and perfectly cooked. The waffle however was a bit dense. As far as the chipped beef my husband was a bit bummed out because it was very bland but, ok overall. Our waitress was awesome and she was warm and friendly. She was quick and I never lack a refill. Originally this was going to get three stars but, the way affordable prices and service earned that 4th one! One more thing...it's CASH ONLY. read more

Bill's is a small restaurant just a few minutes from Hershey. They have a pretty basic breakfast menu. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. It's not a very big restaurant so I imagine that it might get pretty busy during breakfast time on the weekends. My food was hot and tasted fine but it was not anything out of the ordinary. Half diner, half hole in the wall, Bill's serves up a good breakfast with competitive prices. They have a simple menu that ranges from breakfast to sandwiches, wraps, and salads. While I can't think of anything great to say, I can't think of anything bad either. I would promote their breakfast over their lunch/dinner, but that is purely based off menu appeal as I have only eaten breakfast here. An important thing to note is they are CASH ONLY. That isn't a negative fact, but I suppose it could be if you show up without any...Fortunately, they have directions to the nearest ATM right on the front door. If you're in the area and looking for a place to start your day, breakfast here is a win. If you're looking for lunch or dinner however, their are some other places just blocks in either direction that I would recommend over this place. *For the record, Skyline Family Restaurant still has the best homefries in the area (despite Bill's having the same menu design)* read more

The other review for this place on Yelp said it's a secret that not even the locals know about. I find that hard to believe since it's smack in the middle of Main Street with a big sign out front. When I walked inside, I was excited - it looks like a plain, old fashioned diner. Simple. My excitement didn't last long - it smelled in there, service was slow, the AC didn't seem to be working, it was empty, and the food was not so great. I love this place - where locals go, low prices for great food, friendly staff, peaceful environment, and when you feel like it, cross table talk. As far as the food, I like the Spanish omlette with home fries, and have had their great turkey sandwich. These sort of locally-owned places, with hardworking, decent people, and simple food, are hard to come by. I love to visit to sit by myself and get some work done.
