Near the capitol, affordable food, service is okay. Generous serving of full salad, Annie Oakley sub was packed too, could some more meat in tuna and philly, but I think it serves the price. Locally-run, looks like some people who work here are actually related. Inside needs upgrade, like tables are really worn, but I guess that works as long as they keep it clean.

First time here, traveling from Louisiana, and the food is was pretty good. I ordered a French toast with eggs and turkey meat. Yes I know it's not your traditional French toast breakfast but for what it's worth, it was pretty good. I would've love to have some power and fruits but all in all it was a solid 6.5. This place gives the old school, diner vibes with the backless bar stools and the wooden boots! The service was pretty much laid back nothing to expect here but overall it was worth a great tip! If I'm in the area again I'll come back to show my support!

On a snow flurried January day, Roxy's Cafe is a shelter close by the State House in Harrisburg, PA. After taking care of business at the Department of State down North Street behind the beautiful rotunda, we scurried over for a quick lunch before heading back home to Bucks County. The joint is dated, with wobbly spinners at the short counter and a few tables along the windows facing the State Museum and capitol. It definitely has seen better days, but it does have a certain charm. Our server was friendly and handled our order of their Annie Oakley roast beef sandwich w fries and Rachel (Reuben's cousin) with grace. Both plates were decent and relatively inexpensive, even if the quality of ingredients was not exceptional. They were a nice size, hot and filled us comfortably for the dreary drive east. On a better day we would have walked further for lunch as recommended by the guards at State, but given the weather we were satisfied with our meals and appreciated that Roxy's had stood the test of time at this lonely winter outpost in the capitol city. 3.5 Snowy Stars

Nice place! Was in the area and this place reminds me of an old styled diner. Great place for lunch. Portions are really big and isn't that pricey. Good service.

Three star rating on breakfast only. Probably should saved the $25 and made eggs at home. Homefries were tasteless, or actually just tasted like the grill they were cooked on. Both rye and sourdough toast were nothing special. Omelettes good, not great. Service was slow and it wasn't that busy. Three weeks ago it was busy and we were turned-away at the door so we went to the keystone that day. Not sure we'll be back for breakfast. Maybe lunch. We'll see...

Pleasant staff, quick service, basic dining decor and all the basic breakfast/lunch items on their menu. My lunch item, a regular ham and cheese hoagie/sub, was fine.

So yummy, just like I remembered! I just had to bring my girls for breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were the best! My girls are now my forever dates to Roxy's.

Great service but not what I expected in terms of food. The omelet did not had a lot of flavor and the potates where cold.

For the past eight years, with only a few Fridays missed, Dodge City has been our place. Week after…read moreweek, we walk through the doors knowing we're going to be treated well and fed even better. In all that time, we've never had a single bad meal -- not one. The servers set the tone every visit. They're always warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. Sunshine has become our favorite over the years, but the truth is every server we've had has been wonderful. Chef Dougie and his crew deserve every bit of praise. The food is consistently delicious, prepared exactly the way we like it, and clearly made with pride. It's the kind of cooking that keeps people coming back, and we certainly have. We'll continue spending our Friday nights with Dodge City as it has become part of our routine, part of our week, and something we look forward to. Mac and Candace MacAdam

Stopped for an early dinner at around 5 pm. Place was rather empty when I arrived but started to…read morefill up. The restaurant was clean and a bit dated. My waitress (Danyell) immediately took my order of shrimp cocktail and the prime rib special. The food is where the experience soured. The shrimp cocktail (6 pieces) was cooked well and arrived chilled. The issue I had was with the garlic aeoli, cocktail sauce, and old bay seasoning dust that was generously sprinkled on top of the shrimp. Both sauces were under seasoned and the dry old bay seasoning added an odd texture and taste that detracted from th flavor of the shrimp cocktail. The prime rib was extremely tough, had no flavor, and was missing the cap. This was a big disappointment as I expected more from award winning chef Dougie Krick. The meal included mashed potatoes, however, as they do not offer a baked potato, I substituted for steak fries which arrived greasy. Total with tip was $85. Given the quality of the meal served, not a value. The server was very attentive and frequently refilled my drink without asking.

Fairly busy Saturday morning, the order line moved at a nice pace, allowing my friends and me time to examine the menu while we waited. I wanted to order the Crab Rangoon pizza again, but I went for the Crab Hash & Eggs, which didn't disappoint. It's great to see the dining room filled with customers enjoying their Valley View menu choices and the people they are dining with. Note: the parking lot fills up quickly on Saturdays.

I found it a little difficult to take in the HUGE menu and make a decision while standing in line, but that's just me. So we ordered, got a table sign and went to find a table. There weren't many available. Like, maybe 2. We sat. We watched some amazing looking food go by. The food was brought out, along with our coffee flight and other beverages. I had a 2-egg breakfast combo and upgraded to the Fruity Pebble French Toast. It was a huge amount of food, likely enough for 3 people. The French toast was beautiful dish and I couldn't finish it all. Once food is dropped off (wordlessly) there is no more "service." You refill your own coffee mug and bus your table when you're done. The food is imaginative and excellent. It's not really a service style I prefer outside of theme park vacations, but the food is good enough that I'll be back.
