I've never had a great experience or a terrible one here, and that's the point of a chain working to hold the same standard across its locations. Service is more consistent than at many neighborhood mom-and-pop places, and the restaurant is consistently clean. Like other First Watch locations, this one can be loud. It gets very busy at peak times and on brunch holidays like Mother's Day, and large family groups are common, so factor in your noise tolerance for the morning. It's a good place to spend an afternoon, whether you take the tour or settle in and people-watch. Tourists come through, but it still feels like a very large neighborhood spot, and everyone is friendly. If you're waiting on a seasonal release like their Mexican lager, check the gift shop. In my experience, new releases show up there before they reach local grocery stores, so it's a good place to get them first, or at least to find out they're out. The food is decent, but set your expectations accordingly. Think upscale bar food, like brisket sandwiches, rather than a full restaurant menu. I haven't eaten there often, because I'm usually stopping through or heading to an event for a beer or two before moving on. The one real drawback is noise. I thought the goat cheese was going to be the main cheese of this, but it was really like mozzarella with goat cheese sprinkled on top. At breakfast, if you are famished, you can choose a buffet that will cure you of your affliction- all sorts of things you would normally expect- scrambled eggs, meat and toast and granola and cereal- you get the picture. You can also ask your server for a specialty omelette of your choosing or eggs made a certain way. Or choose to eat from a breakfast lunch or dinner menu. We ate in the morning twice and in the evening twice as well and always loved our meals. The buffet for kids is about $20 and for adults about $10 more. If your little one is a small appetite critter, consider eating of the menu. Prices for menu options were more that reasonable and portions matched even my humongous appetite. Tables and booths throughout can handle any sized party so if you're traveling with family and friends, they will almost assuredly be able accommodate you. Good value for food and service.
