I've been here before, but I don't think I ever wrote a review. This time I came in to meet a friend for coffee and to talk through some business. That seems to fit the place well, because when I arrived there were clearly other business conversations happening at multiple tables. It feels like a popular spot for people to meet, work, and get things done, not just grab a drink and leave. I asked the staff if they could make a Mexican coffee. They were not sure at first, but once I explained it is essentially a chocolate mocha with a little cayenne pepper, they were willing to make it. It turned out great. The ambiance is solid. It is not overly noisy, and it is easy to have a conversation without raising your voice. The only downside is the seating layout, which feels more like a school cafeteria than a cozy coffee shop. It is functional, just not especially inviting. There is parking on site, but I can see it filling up quickly during peak times, with overflow going to nearby street parking. Overall, this is a dependable, non chain coffee spot that I would return to, especially for a business meeting or when I want a coffee I do not have to second guess in terms of preparation and consistency. read more

Such a cute little cafe! I was in dire need of a pick me up on my way out of town and decided I would rather give my money to a small business than a Dunkin and boy am I happy I did so! The iced coffee is yummy. Friendly staff, quick service. And also there is a wall of adoptable dogs if you come in the back entrance. Clearly a place owned and operated by good people. Stopped in for a Brunch! The Breakfast Burrito #1 is stuffed with Fluffy Scrambled Eggs and Black Beans pepper jack cheese and Pico de Gallo. We stopped here for coffee on a recent Tuesday afternoon. The weather was nice that day, so we enjoyed our lattes on their shaded deck/patio. When we ordered we were greeted with a smile. I had an iced latte and my husband had a hot latte. We both enjoyed them and thought they tasted great. We would definitely come back if we ate in the area. read more

What an awesome coffee shop! You can tell they're always busy, but they handle it so smoothly. They offer a wide variety of options for different diets and allergies, which is fantastic for a coffee shop. We saw great things about it so decided to stop by on our way to Poconos. The cafe is very cute but the food is pretty lacking. A huge menu and they have sandwiches all day long. I ordered a chicken + havarti and was surprised to see pecans/walnuts in it. I love these nuts so I didn't mind but my husband is severely allergic to these nuts like a lot of others. It'd be nice to mention that on the menu. Service was VERY confusing, one of the girls was very nice, one was lukewarm, and one was extremely rude! Definitely won't be stopping again! read more

Let's be clear - the actual coffee here is not something I would write home about (or on yelp). It reminds me of the free cup of coffee you might get at church, it's not especially strong or flavorful, but you drink it because it's all you have. BUT the vibes, the quick bites, and friendliness of staff make this place special. I would think of this place as more of a meeting ground to link up with a friend or colleague, grab a yummy salad, or catch up on emails. I like this place for what it is - but if I want a really good cup of joe, I'm headed to lil amps or Starbucks. read more

Major improvements since I was there last time. Honestly it has been a few years since my last visit. When I was there a few years I asked for whipped cream to be added to my coffee after order, I totally forgot the 1st time around. The person at the cash register said "you said have ordered when you asked for your drink because it is a extra 1.00. This isn't Starbucks we don't give whipped cream away for free" I was very upset but handed them a dollar. I felt like a dollar was a lot and I wasn't trying to get free whipped cream. I wish I lived closer to this spot. Even now, at the tail end of the Covid pandemic, this place was bustling. If you can picture in your mind what a cool and busy coffee shop looks like, it probably looks a lot like Cornerstone. Cool art. Tables inside and out, filled with people talking or pounding away at laptop keyboards, the hiss of steaming milk, interesting baked goods and a huge range of beverages. I really, really wish I lived closer. The staff was friendly. They got my drink order exactly right. I eavesdropped on their conversation about the goodness/badness of bananas foster flavored coffee. I used to be a regular at Cornerstone back when I lived here and I have kept coming back every time I have visited Harrisburg. The ambience is amazing. I was not ready for a "small" coffee shop to be so busy. Also didn't expect an entire menu selection. Took about 15 minutes for a cappuccino, but with the amount of people that were there it makes sense. No different than any other big coffee chain. The workers seemed friendly, wish I would've gotten out the car earlier, probably could've sat for a meal. I'd for sure go back again and bring the wife. Ambiance is the main reason to go to the Cornerstone. The coffee is excellent but these people, the owners and quite competent staff, know how to spread warmth and comfort--two important elements of hospitality. The pastries, light lunches, everything they sell is top of the line. Outside seating works for reasonable weather and inside, while busy, is always friendly. read more

I went to this coffee shop around 8:00 am on a Saturday morning, and it was already pretty crowded, so I was excited to see what the popularity was about. I ordered a small dark chocolate hot mocha. Because it was so crowded, I had to wait for about 10 minutes. The baristas behind the counter were very nice to all the customers. I was also very satisfied with my coffee as well. Loved the taste of the açaí mixed with the granola & fruits. I got a raspberry flavored iced tea which tasted great because it was not too sweet. They are very efficient and timely. This place is adorable. It didn't seem like there were too many options nearby, so this was a great find. I wish I would have snapped a pic! The salad was delicious. Great place to come for coffee but beware of crowds! I've come here a few times, and always been surprised at how crowded it is. I think until about 1pm it'll be packed with locals (even on weekdays) so it's not a great place to spend the day, because it's very loud. Large groups will have trouble finding a seat if this is the case. I've also come after 3 where it's a lot quieter and you can get some work done. If it's the morning and you're looking for a place to read or get things done then look elsewhere! I ordered the breakfast sandwich #2 with avocado and egg on a bagel. Great! Super tasty and flavorful, the bagel was very fresh and toasty. Also ordered the nitro bliss... Less great. I love Nitro but I feel like this was a lower quality brew along with trying to make it tasty with coconut. It ended up tasting like liquor because it was so thick and bitter. Really bummed about it! Pros: - Incredible variety, look at those menus! This has the hipster coffee shop availability of things along with a hometown charm feel. - Accepts cards/ATM inside - Self Serve drip coffee - alternative milks available (oat, coconut, soy, almond) - decor is awesome! Cons: - The quality of coffee is hit or miss. I think their drip coffee is great, but once you get closer to their special drinks, a lot of times they don't measure up. I'd stick to your normal orders here if you're coming for the first time! - Parking is ROUGH! The lot gets full in the morning. read more
