Not called cocoa beanery anymore, but decent fare if you can't afford $800 a night to stay at the crazy overpriced Hershey hotel

The atmosphere was fun, utilizing retired ride vehicles as booths and playing into the park setting. As expected in Hershey, the menu explored how chocolate can be integrated into a very American menu. I enjoyed the pulled pork grilled cheese: the chocolate barbecue sauce reminded me of a lighter molasses-based sauce so it worked with the barbecue. We had the Ferris Wheel appetizer which was mostly a win, but the items could have shown up on a TGI Friday's menu. The next day, to escape the millions of middle schoolers in the park (I have a whole travelogue brewing for that) we came back because I wanted one of their gigantic milkshakes. The Reese's peanut butter shake was peanut butter to the Nth degree, and it was topped by an entire slice of peanut butter pie. My friend got a stomachache but I love anything peanut butter so this was a win for me. Both times the service was really good. Our servers were friendly and attentive so we never felt we were being ignored or passed over. A+ in the service department.

My daughter got a mint chocolate chip milkshake that was huge. She kept talking about how good it was for the rest of the day. We split the pork nachos, and I'm not exaggerating when I say they were the best nachos I've ever had. Fresh, moist pork, tons of whole chips, and nothing skimpy about the toppings. My friend tried one of the flatbreads and loved it too. It is a little loud because it's so open, but honestly, I liked the energy. Easy five stars from me.

You can spend the whole day here doing all of the interactive activities and shows. Honestly, I think they're pretty overpriced and you would be better off spending your time at the Hershey Story museum downtown. However, I think it's a must do if you visit the park. You can go on the free ride about how chocolate is made- and then you get a free sample at the end! They have food options but I think they're pretty overpriced. I would only go if you're on a bus trip and don't have any other options. The gift shop is massive and has different merchandise than the park. They also have deals on certain chocolate items and sometimes have new products as well. The check out lines can get long but move very quickly. There is also a self checkout line than can be hard to find but is very quick. You have to stop by if you're visiting Hersheypark- don't miss it!

Loved the gift shop. I like you can pick out your favorites and buy them in mini sizes. So much delicious candy to explore. Make sure to get on the free ride and they Take your picture. We purchased the key chain. Parking is free. I am glad I finally had a chance to experience this and would not hesitate to return. Just keep in mind if you're traveling in the warm weather. You have to worry about the chocolate melting. We traveled during the springtime so our chocolate made it safely home. Still in good condition.

Picked up some cookies the other weekend to share with friends. All six of the flavors we tried…read morewere delicious! The apple pie was the group favorite, classic flavor, great texture. I would say our next favorite was the peanut butter fudge, it was so thick and moist. The peanut butter and jelly cookie also had good flavor and adequate filling. We enjoyed all the other flavors as well. Oreos and creme was good. Salted caramel had good flavor and the pretzel chunks added some interesting texture. The brownie was very thick, and well worth taking a bite, it's rich enough that only a bite was sufficient. The cookies are big enough to cut into 6 or 8 pieces and everyone still gets a good sample. if you want to share them with friends. They are some fairly large cookies, so for our group of six, the six we tried were more than enough! There were so many different flavors, definitely going to have to try more next time I'm in the area!!

I found out about Taylor Chip Cookies thru the Yelp Harrisburg Instagram page and I'm so glad I…read moredid!! It is located at the Fresh Market at Hershey Town Square (we popped into a store to ask where it was). Oddly, she directed us to the UPMC Outpatient Center. That's all it said on the building. Entrances flank both sides of the building, nothing is clearly marked. Entering the town square is pretty magical the first time. I thought, this must be Hershey's best kept secret! Once locating Taylor Chip, we got in line. It was busy but not too long of a wait. While waiting the line did get quite extensively longer. Moral of the story... if you're behind 5 people, don't get out of line as it can change in a second! All those huge cookies lined up looked so tempting. I intended to get several but ended up with a half dozen anyway. Fun fact! You only get a box if you order a half dozen or more, otherwise it's placed in a paper sleeve or you can pay $0.50 for a single cookie box. I got Oatmeal raisin, double chocolate, chocolate with peanut butter inside, carrot with cream cheese icing, chocolate and salted caramel pretzel(these may not be the exact names) The peanut butter chocolate and the double chocolate were delicious and tasted exactly the same. There was only a spot of peanut butter right in the middle that you could hardly taste. I went back another day and all the peanut butter chocolate cookies had a drizzle of peanut butter right on top. I was elated but disappointed that they sold me an incomplete cookie the first time. I also paid 50 cents to get it in a box so it wouldn't get messy shoved in a bag. If I had a chance to speak to the owner, I would tell them to work on consistency (they aren't as filled as advertised) and to offer a box for the few cookies that have goop on top. Customers shouldn't have to pay extra to not have their cookies ruined and messy. That's just bad business. To sum it up... cookies are very expensive, Hershey location may be hard to find the first time, and consistency and customer service is a little shoddy but you'll get a delicious cookie if you eat it fresh.

The ambiance is very simple, but it included great on theme decorations like the melted chocolate on the walls. Ambiance rate: 7/10. I ordered... 1. Peanut Butter Explosion Fudge: This large slice of fudge was yummy and incredibly sweet, almost overly sweet! It had a great mix of peanut butter and chocolate flavor with reese's pieces incorporated into it. Price: $10. Rate 8/10. 2. Peanut Butter Cookie: This cookie was very scrumptious! The peanut butter and chocolate flavor melted nicely in my mouth. It was also super soft and warm! I liked how it included reese's peanut butter cups and pieces. Price: $6. Rate 10/10. I kept eyeing all the display cases and I couldn't decide. I asked the kind employee what her favorite thing is, and she can only pick ONE thing. It took her a few minutes to decide but she said the cheesecake..so that is what I went with. I had the cookies and cream cheesecake. It was a decent size. Flavors were great. Definitely got a cookies and cream flavor in each bite. I also loved the piece of cookies and cream candy bar on top. It cost about $10, and I feel that's a fair price. As already mentioned above, service was friendly.
