We visited Hershey's Chocolate World on a Saturday around 4 PM and were pleasantly surprised to hop right on the Chocolate Tour ride with almost no wait. It's cute and worth doing, but I wouldn't wait more than 10-15 minutes for it. The real highlight? So much chocolate and fun merchandise. Prices were pretty reasonable, and we loved finding some unique and seasonal treats. Somehow, grabbing a mix of favorites and new goodies still only ran us about $30. We also tried the Reese's Oreo Club Parfait... and honestly, it didn't live up to the hype. Kind of underwhelming and lacking flavor - my homemade yogurt bowls with peanut butter protein powder are better (and that's saying something). They do offer non-dessert food like pizza, baked potatoes, and soft pretzels, which is nice if you need a break from sugar overload. We considered doing the "stuff your own Reese's," but the amount of peanut butter looked almost excessive - and that's coming from a true PB lover. Overall, definitely worth a stop if you're in Hershey - just go in with the right expectations!

I've been here more times than I can count. It's a great place to check out if you are in town. My kids love it here and what s not to love - so much candy and chocolate. We always shop till we drop here. The free parking is enticing enough to come and spend a fortune on candy. HA! We will be back soon, the Hershey area is filled with things to go and restaurants to try out.

So lets state the obvious, everything here is delicious....I got a Reese's Oreo Milkshake and Cherry Parfait with Twizzlers. The milkshake was out of this world! The Cherry Parfait was okay...I don't know if I would ever get another one. No the negatives. Hershey is insanely overpriced. Looking at the cost of all the attractions in chocolate (besides the free ride of course) will have you putting a decent amount on your credit card for a family of four. I went during the week so the crowds were not bad. But weekend crowds or summer crowds here get very bad. Parking is free for the first 3 hours I believe, but after that...a HEFTY parking fee is charged. The visuals throughout Hershey are out of this world. Incredible decor, incredible marketing.

Last year we had so much fun we decided to visit again passing thru Pennsylvania. We got Easter candy for our kids. Its such a big store. Featuring candy of course and all kinds of hershey merch from chap stick to stuffed animals to clothing and kitchen ware. Something for everyone. They have a food court as well.

I was concerned that we were going to burn $100 on some tours, but we learned that they offer a free tour. After making a few selections in the gift shop, we queued up and were finally boarded in a car for the tour. A few steps here and I'm not sure how they do it for handicapped folks. The tour was a fun and whimsical journey that shows the chocolate manufacturing process as it starts from tropical cocoa bean to become a wrapped candy bar. On the cart, we glided past animated scenes of chocolate-making, we were shown how cocoa gets roasted, and we watched how candies are formed and wrapped on conveyor belts. At the end, a free Hersheys (mini) chocolate bar! The gift shop is a Walmart sized candy store with Hershey-labeled clothing and buckets of candy and unique items that are only available here. You could very easily fill a shopping cart with sugared treats. Mrs. K. and I managed to escape with just a few items, thank goodness. Overall, I'm glad we learned that the motorized ride is free and the parking was free and we did pick up some interesting gifts. Keep in mind that any chocolate you purchase has to survive the journey to its recipient so be aware of hot cars! [Round number review 24600 overall - 1046 of 2025 - 694 in Pennsylvania]

I think I found my new favorite place: Hershey's Chocolate World. From the free 'ride' to the Hershey kiss street lamp to the organization of all the goodies, I was so pleasantly surprised worth how well everything was done here. I am a HUGE chocolate lover, especially Reese's. So, when I saw that you could make your own Reese's cup, I jumped in line. You get to stuff a massive cup with peanut butter and three toppings. There were chips and chocolate and marshmallows and so much more. You even got to add in syrups. This was the best thing I've ever done! The free ride was amazing. It was a good 5 minutes, and it really told the story of the chocolate and the whole start to finish process. The ride was very clean and accessible. At the end, you get a mini hersheys bar, and this was the best chocolate I've ever had. They chocolate here is different! The store was overwhelming but very well organized. You can easily find what you were looking for. Each big 'brand' had there own section: Kit Kat, Reese's, Hersheys. Most of the things I saw can't be bought in store, so this was really cool. They even had vegan chocolate options, which were delicious. Checkout wasn't a mess either, it was very organized. They even had restaurants in here! And, you can even find free ornaments, baby toys, clothes, etc. I need to come back here once a quarter to stock up!!

Hershey's Chocolate World So much fun and absolutely delicious! Everything runs like a well-oiled machine, making it easy to enjoy without stress. The Fall Bundle is an incredible value and gives you a full day of experiences, treats, and family-friendly fun. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Hershey!

Highly recommend hitting up Hershey's Chocolate World when visiting...Hershey. Seems like an obvious statement but I really do think they put on a good show for visitors. We opted to do the Hershey Express Train Ride (high recommend), the Make Your Own Candy Bar (highest recommend), and the free factory tour (not bad but glad I didn't pay for it) Just walking around this place and checking out all of the unique candy flavors and swag you can purchase for your favorite sweets is well worth it. We grabbed some adult beverages in the food court (try the Jolly Rancher frozen drink) and some of their food (pretzel with chocolate dipping sauce!) and enjoyed the ambiance and hustle and bustle of the place while we ate. This was a great spot for both adults and kids.

What a wonderful day eating chocolate all day. We purchase the full experience. It is significantly cheaper online. Each activity was so much fun! The employees are full of energy and enthusiasm which totally makes the experience great. This experience is great for the whole family. The trolley ride is great learning experience of the history of Milton Hershey plus chocolate samples are a plus. It's an incredible story! We made our own Hershey candy bar and watching the process all the way to customized our own packaging wrappers. And before you leave you have the opportunity to buy all the chocolate your vehicle can hold Highly recommend! Enjoy!

This was an amazing experience on the Christmas season 2025. The ride is not more than 20 minutes. It's very safe, very educational and they give you chocolate at the end. Most importantly it's free.

We stopped by on a holiday weekend and expected the busy crowds. Overall it was a fun experience and was on my PA bucket list to visit. Lots of photo ops, fast-casual dining, tons of unique products to shop from, and a fun ride that's located during the free tour. One note to keep in mind: Parking is free for just 2 hours then it turns into $60!

Our family had a great time! We spent 3 hours checking everything out! Don't skip the free ride in the shopping area, about 8-10 mins, but super cute and they give you a snack size chocolate bar when you exit! Would recommend!

Do you need tickets for Hersheypark to come here? And is this basically the same thing as in Vegas?

Can you bring an infant on the ride?

Absolutely! It’s a slow-moving, calm ride.

Can you go in here and just get chocolate or do you have to do the whole experience?

You don't have to do the whole experience but it is recommended the 4D movie, build your own hershey bar is pretty cool. They also have a small zoo within the amusement park definitely fun entertainment for kids.

Are there doors on the pods for the ride? Just wondering how easy they are to get into/out of for an older adult.

Their easy to get in and out of. However there's quite a bit of walking and a few steps you'll have to deal with. Ask for a wheelchair and worker if you're worried. As started above handicapped pods have a ramp.

Would a 13 year old (our oldest) enjoy this place?

As a 23 year old I had fun! I enjoyed making my own chocolate and the sea lion show was good!

Can someone tell me the pricing of the Watchamacallit box (not just the bar)? Is it $36 for two?

Sorry, we were there on a 90+ degree day, so we didn't look at buying any chocolate. I hope someone has the answer for you, otherwise you may wish to contact them via email (they're very responsive) or call them directly. Best wishes!

Looking to get a gift for one of my mentors who's a big chocolate lover -- thinking about doing the make your own candy bar. What toppings are available? Also, what customization is available for the wrapper? Does it just allow a first name?

Has anyone tried the $10 meal ticket add on to package? Is it worth it? I am not sure about what do you get once you redeem it.

Yeah, we just did this last week. it was really slick. We just picked out what we wanted to eat and when we ordered, we showed the cashier our tickets and she initialed over the "Meal Add-On" on our ticket. It was awesome!

I drove down from Markham to attend an American Hockey League (AHL) playoff game between the Hershey Bears and the Manitoba Moose. Giant Center, where the Bears Play, is at Hersheypark, as is Hershey's Chocolate World. The Hershey Company owns everything at Hersheypark. I find it neat that the entire town is named after a company known for candy and chocolate. It didn't matter where you were in Hershey. You could smell the chocolate! I am certain that I got into visiting Hershey stores in my travels through this first visit to Hershey, PA. My visits to the stores in Niagara Falls (Canada), Las Vegas, and Shanghai come to mind. The flagship store is obviously in Hershey, PA. It was an amazing experience. The cool part was picking up a bunch of Hershey's Chipits in butterscotch. It was one of those hard-to-find flavours locally back then. It was so easy snatching a few bags for baking cookies and more. I think of chocolate bars when the Hershey's name is mentioned. The classic milk chocolate comes to mind. I like that it has expanded its flavour profile to include cookies and cream, dark chocolate, birthday cake, and almonds. At Easter, I do like a bag of Eggies. I like that you can get dark and milk chocolate varieties, with both having a candy coating on the outside of each Eggie (or is it Eggy for the singular?). I like Hershey's Kisses. The original milk chocolate is classic. I love candy cane Kisses that hit stores just before Christmas. The cookies and cream ones are also yummy. Besides the Hershey's brand, the Hershey's company also has these brands under its product umbrella: - Reese's - Chipits - Jolly Rancher - Oh Henry! - Twizzlers - Whoppers - Glosette - Skor - Brookside - Ice Breakers - Eat More - York I probably consume more Reese's, Jolly Rancher, Oh Henry!, Whoppers, and Ice Breakers on this list. So good! Hershey's Canada has its headquarters in Mississauga, near where I work. Sadly, it doesn't smell like chocolate whenever I'm driving to work. It should! I don't mind Hershey's and its products. I feel like some Reese's white chocolate cups, which are also awesome. (377)
