Great location, and friendly service. The ice cream, I thought, was just ok. But that's just my opinion on the milkshake. Great parking with a park in the backyard, I'm sure the locals love it.

Probably one of the best kept secrets in Leigh Valley. A wonderful ice cream parlor and the blueberry sundae is phenomenal. A mix of fresh and macerated blueberries, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, crushed peanuts was devine. And for $5 what a steal.

We spotted 3B on the way to Lake Tobias Wildlife Park and decided to stop by on the way home. Once I saw the sign "Blueberry Sundae," I was sold. 3B has 4 locations: this one, which is the original and opened up back in 1969, one in Duncannon and two in Harrisburg. Back in the day, they made their own ice cream but now they serve 13 flavors from Turkey Hill and 18 flavors from Gallikers of Johnstown. One of the Gallikers flavors- "Almond Joy"- is made exclusively for 3B. This location is right off the Appalachian Trail. Pretty cool. Plenty of parking, picnic tables and even a port-a-potty. Great service and huge portions.

Ice cream is one of my favorite summertime activities, and 3B is an annual tradition. They always have plenty of trusty standbys along with rotating new flavors, so there's truly something for everyone. Parking is available on-site (though limited), ordering is done at a walk-up window, and while there's no indoor seating, a few picnic tables outside make it easy to enjoy your treat on the spot. They also sell quarts of their flavors to take home--which is a major win. On this visit, I went for their seasonal Pumpkin Caramel Walnut Sundae and oh my goodness--it was heaven in a dish. I ordered the kid size and it was still huge! For $5, I gladly accepted the challenge of finishing it. Pumpkin ice cream, a generous drizzle of warm caramel, a thick layer of wet walnuts, all topped with whipped cream and a cherry. It was the perfect way to ease into fall without breaking the bank. 3B's is a true Central PA staple for good reason: consistently delicious ice cream, consistently reasonable prices, and consistently happy customers. A must-stop spot if you're in the area.

Great BBQ joint in the Mountains…read more Fire & Ice Smokehouse & Creamery delivers a deliciously smoky experience that's hard to beat in central PA. The ribs and sliced brisket sandwich were the clear stars--perfectly tender, full of flavor, and cooked just right with a nice smoky bark. The smoked mac and cheese was another standout--creamy, rich, and packed with that deep, smoky goodness that takes comfort food to the next level. Chicken was flavorful and decent. Just not my style as I enjoy a hot & fast style. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, with a casual setup where you can sit wherever you want and order at the counter. The service was quick and efficient, and our food came out hot and fresh in no time. Portion sizes were generous, definitely worth the price and enough to leave you satisfied. The sauces were solid--a nice variety to choose from and they complemented the meats well. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but they did the job. If you're a sauce lover, you'll appreciate the options, though the meat definitely shines on its own without needing much help. All in house created which personally I thought they be better knocks a star off. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish--excellent BBQ, cozy vibes, and smooth service. Definitely worth the visit if you're craving top-notch smoked meats and hearty sides in the Pennsylvanian mountains.

The oatmeal cream pie ice cream was phenomenal! Probably would have been just as happy having a lot more that for lunch. Kinda of a pain to get to if you're trying to get there from Detweiler Park because Peters Mountain is shut down right before the restaurant. So you literally have to drive an additional 5 miles around the construction area. The food is a little on the pricey side but what isn't these days?! Also didn't really care for the faith based Christian music playing. Was a little on the loud side for religious music during your meal. Overall, if I was in the area, I'd stop for the ice cream.

All was exactly as we had hoped. Very good. Would definitely repeat if I lived here. Red Rabbit Drive In comes up quickly on your right side so be prepared, but as soon as we pulled in, a server came right over to our car to take our order. We had already looked at the menu on line and knew we would order a Bunny Burger, which they cut for us, and a pork bbq sandwich (also cut for us so we could share). The burger has its own special sauce and that, along with the pickle and onion, made it delicious. We also loved the pork bbq sandwich which was topped with a sweeter pickled relish. Yum! I especially enjoyed their milkshakes which are made with real ice cream and are thick and creamy. The black and white was perfect, but we also tried their peanut butter chocolate. Divine! They then put a number on your car, and when the food is ready, bring it over to your vehicle on a tray which attaches to your window. We were so excited, and everything was delicious. Keep in mine, they're cash only and when you're finished, they ask you to turn on your hazards and will come back and pick up your tray and trash. FYI, the bathrooms were very clean. We'll be back in the spring when we can enjoy the whole experience with the windows down and music playing.
