Chocolate World is a fun place to visit at Hershey Park. There's lots of activities. You can purchase individual tickets or bundles. We did the Chocolate Tour and The Hershey Great Candy Expedition. The Chocolate Tour was a cute ride that takes you through the process of making chocolate. It's free and the lines move fast. The Great Candy Expedition requires a ticket (it was $20). It's interactive and is sort of a choose your adventure type of activity. The candy store and gift shop are huge! They have so many chocolate candy and confections and they come in massive sizes (we're talking 1 lb. Hershey Bars). They have unique flavors like Churro Kit Kats and Chocolate Hazelnut Hershey Bars. I also purchased a Whozeewhatzit which I've never heard of. It was good, but I think I like the Whatchamacallit more. I bought so many candy bars that it took me a month to eat all of them. We didn't get a chance to explore some of the other activities like making your own candy bar. There's so much to see at Chocolate World, and one can easily spend an entire day exploring. read more

Hershey's White Creme with Sprinkles and Popping Candy: With possibly the longest name of any candy bar I've consumed, the Hershey's White Creme with Sprinkles and Popping Candy (HPOP) was first released in 2023 and then brought back for a limited time in the summer of 2024. I got this bar as part of my Christmas 2024 candy dump, but I can assure you it was not expired. The HPOP is shaped like a traditional Hershey's Bar, but instead of cocoa/chocolate it is comprised of a white creme. The creme is teeming with not only sprinkles, but also a plethora of popping candy. If you've ever had any of Hershey's white creme flavored products then you can imagine how this one tastes. It's basically a super sweet white chocolate. We're not here for the white creme though, it's the popping candy that makes this candy bar unique. Judging by the color scheme and the fact that it was intended for limited summer releases, it's meant to be a patriotic tie in to The Fourth of July. Mission accomplished, as it's like a bunch of firecrackers going off in my mouth (but in a tickling and not painful way). Our family visited recently and loved the experience. It's like a mini Disneyland. We did the adventure tour. Our favorite activity was making your own candy bar. I thought the meal included in our ticket price wasn't worth the cost. The food was pretty average. You'll overdose on sweets so I don't even know if regular food is worth eating! We also got a huge stuffed Reece's Peanut Butter Cup take home which was a beast to eat. Definitely do the free factory tour ride. It's so fun to learn the history and see how the chocolate is sourced and made. Save some money for souvenirs because they have some fun stuff. Our kids got a chocolate themed monopoly game and a big stuffed Kit Kat bear. We would definitely go again, after the sweets overload wears off a bit more! read more

We visited the tour and store... one of the good things is parking is free for 3 hours... The store was huge and clean. Staff were constantly working to keep it organized and answered our questions. The chocolate tour was good but we went on a holiday so we waited for around 10 mins... they have Giant candy bars... All souvenirs were really good... Great ride inside, great experience, lots of souvenirs, great history ... and the best part is that it's free to visit! (as long as you leave the parking lot within 3 hours of getting your entry parking ticket). I hadn't been to Chocolate World since I was a kid and, in my most recent visit, I developed a new perspective for the history of Hershey as I actually paid attention on the Hershey ride inside. In my younger years, I would just look forward to obtaining my free Hershey chocolate sample at the end of the ride (which I admittedly still did this time around). Besides the ride that will give you the 411 on the rich history of Hershey, the first thing everyone will notice when they enter Chocolate World is the sheer amount of souvenirs they sell inside, so be prepared to open up that wallet (especially if you're visiting with your kids). There are keychains, magnets, wall to wall stuffed animals, t-shirts, chocolate themed items that I didn't even know needed chocolate theming and, of course, LOTS and LOTS of your favorite chocolate. If you love chocolate or history or chocolate themed souvenirs, this place was created just for you. And, like I said, it's free to visit (or so they say until you walk out with $200 worth of Hershey-themed stuff that you never knew you needed). Hershey's Chocolate World is a dream for chocolate lovers, with every Hershey brand you can think of and a healthy host of customizable products at the various activities throughout the store. But first, let's talk about parking. They've got a ridiculous business model - Free for 3 hours, then $60 thereafter. If you're someone who is thinking of doing one or two activities while you're here, but you aren't buying one of the packages, it's really easy to burn through three hours. And just like that, you're adding a $60 bump-up to your tab. I took a star off for that. Every experience while here was great though, highlighted by the Hershey's Unwrapped experience, which was awesome for the grade school crowd. It's a great combination of being able to eat chocolate, learning some Hershey fun facts, and watching a quick entertaining show. Of course my favorite activity was making my own one-pound Reese's cup. If you're a peanut butter lover, this is the thing for you. I nearly cried tears of joy when I watched them bring out a fresh baking tray of reese's peanut butter topping, then got to watch as they used an ice cream scooper to load up my cup. This place is so cute. A great place to bring small kids because the experiences you pay for are truly made for you to use a 6 year old imagination. We paid for pretty much all of the experiences. The "stuff your own reeses" experience was you telling a cashier what you'd like and they make it for you. The create your own chocolate bar experience, they give u an apron and hair net, you walk inside and type what you want into the software and you watch it being made by the machine on an assembly line (I was very disappointed it wasn't like the I Love Lucy chocolate factory episode lol). The chocolate tasting experience, they give you a tin of the mini bars of the standard Hershey chocolates and you sit in a room and watch a live, but animated story that tells you when to eat each piece. It's worth doing for sure... but only with kids in tow. read more

10/10 experience. As a chocolate lover and a Hershey's chocolate lover specifically, this was a great place to visit. Fun for kids and adults. We were only passing through Pennsylvania so we couldn't do the amusement park but was still satified with the Chocolate World. Chocolate World was massive. I've been to a few larger candy stores and this one takes the cake for sure. (also big kudos that it was immaculately clean). There's more than just Hershey chocolate as well...other candies that they've bought (jolly rancher, twizzlers to name a couple but merch for each candy), things that you won't see in any other store. They also have food court area and an icecream shop. They have a few different interactive things for you (and the kids) to do. You can also go on this indoor ride to see how they process their chocolates and get the history of Hershey, Milton Hershey the founder and Hershey PA. Chocolate world is fun for people of all ages. I brought my inlaws here from the Phillipines and they had a great time. Some of the staff were very friendly but the young lady at the end of the ride handing out chocolate seemed very annoyed and bothered to to there. Parking is free for 3 hours, and then becomes very expensive, so set your timers. We first went on a Saturday around noon and the parking lot was full already, so we got redirected over to park at Hershey Park. We were able to go all the way around to the otherside and park just a few minutes away from the main entrance. They gave us a slip of paper that gave us free access to the HersheyPark parking lot as well. As expected the place was packed. It's basically a huge gift shop with a few rides and activities. We went on the free ride/tour which the kids enjoyed, and they also handed out a small piece of chocolate at the end which the kids loved too. There's also a food court way at the back with some tasty treats. We came back again on Sunday because kids wanted to go on the ride again, and we ended up also getting the tickets to Create your own Chocolate bar. It's pretty pricey, but it was a fun experience. Probably something that's one and done due to the price. read more

Talk about candy, this place has everything Hershey... as it should! Our kids always enjoy coming here to shop for their favorites. At times they usually have a special Hershey Park treat, like the special flavored chocolate bars. The gift shop is massive with food areas to get snacks beyond food. Beyond the gift shop there is a cute factory tour ride that's free but usually has a wait. It's worth it since it's a neat amusement ride. There are also paid candy making and other classes you can add on while inside. Our kids loved it, it was so much fun! It's definitely a tourist trap. The venue was huge and it has different activities to do besides buying souvenirs and chocolates. My mom was actually excited over making her own chocolate bar. I ordered some pretzels and they tasted awful. It reminded me of days old pretzels. They were supposed to be freshly made. Not a fan of chocolate so it's not a place for me. I enjoyed the Hershey movie and chocolate tasting experience. All the staff interacted with were great! However, I did the famous free chocolate tour...and I was very disappointed!!! There was music playing overhead, so I couldn't even hear what the presenter was saying. Half of the contraptions weren't even working during the tour. Hershey's Chocolate World is right next to Hershey Park. If you're only visiting Hershey's Chocolate world, make sure to follow the signs because the parking is different from Hershey Park. My family decided to go the next day after we had visited Hershey Park. I'm glad we did. This place is definitely for chocolate lovers. There are different activities to do. A must go! You have to visit the website and check on all the activities that are available when you visit Hershey's Chocolate World. Although everyone is very helpful in answering any of your inquiries, it's much better to make reservations online so you can plan your visit accordingly. I'd say you get the value for your money with the whole experience. Stopped by quickly on our way back from a roadtrip. I've been here before decades ago, but this time we didn't really explore much or did any of the paid attractions. We just took the free tour ride which was fun for the kids and they give you a mini Hershey bar at the end. Then we walked around the shop and bought a few things. Large selection of all of their chocolates, nothing special or exclusive you can't get elsewhere for cheaper. I always shop for products that are not available on retail stores. They have giant Hershey chocolate bars, Reese's, Jolly Ranchers. At the back, you can get some food, milk shakes, and freshly made s'mores. I got one and I ate in seconds. They have the Hershey version of M and M and plant-based Hershey chocolate and Reese's. Compared to Cadbury world in England, this place is disappointing. Only thing to do is ride the one time cart around the factory then shop. Other than that there's nothing else to do. This is our second or third time here. Had to bring the little one since she's a sweet tooth kinda gal like me. Loved it then and still love it now. Nothings changed but it's still great with the free ride and large selection of souvenirs. This time we made our own chocolate bars. It was basically a select options assembly line instead of a hands experience. I think watching the machines make the chocolate should be a little cheaper but the chocolate bar is humungous. Some of the staff seemed friendly at the register not as much at the assembly line making chocolates. read more

I finally made it to where I wanted to be!!.3-18-25...didn't want the amusement park or anything others have done I just wanted all the chocolate Candy!! Lol...My Loove took me to Hershey!! I was like a kid I even got excited because the light fixtures outside the building were made into Hershey's kisses!.. they had a create your own bag!, the Harry Potter New Butterbeer Kisses/Popcorn & graham crackers, Mocha, Chocolate truffle and Hazelnut exclusive Hershey kisses. We went on a walking tour then the Chocolate Tour inside with a roller coaster type ride and animatronics in all three hersheys candies and some farm cows!. Cupcake was scary! & looked crazy!. Matt Customer Service went above & beyond, he was Very helpful every step of the way from helping me along with my love downstairs and to ride because under my feet it moved in a circle so you had to be careful your foot didn't slip!. and after the ride to help me off safely so I can't thank him enough for saving my life! Lol... We went on the ride it was cool and a little traumatic lol cause everything moved! and talked ( past childhood Chuck E. Cheese trauma). Overall I loved that they had so much different candies, a theatre you could watch , a candy making station at the Reese's station. They had an actual chocolate making & tasting you could do next to the entrance when you walked it!, definitely a tourist attraction spot for sure!!!!.. Definitely entertaining as an adult or a kid, they've updated the experiences a bit since we came. Big shopping area along with a free "factory" ride that gives you a piece of chocolate at the end for the Hershey factory story. Back area has a bathroom and food court, including a place for milkshakes which was good (Hersheys original + a 50y collectible cup = $16). You can buy tickets for individual attractions inside or get packages by bundle; we did the adventure 2 bundle and skipped the trolley tour for about $54/ppl. You have to schedule entry times, so keep that in mind and don't overlap otherwise you'll get rushed from point to point. Hershey's Unwrapped was a 30min mini-show about persistence and trial/error - make mistakes and have fun with candy after. You get a tasting kit in a tin container with some chocolates and a full bar of Hershey's chocolate. Great Candy Expedition is a very good show - not 3D but instead has a wide feel, interaction, little wind and vibration, and choices that take you to different candy areas of the story. And you get a bag of candy afterwards! The Create Your Own Candy Bar was a favorite - gear up, create a white, dark or chocolate bar with your own toppings, with a regular chocolate layered on top, a custom made wrapper and tin. Fun and delicious! You can watch the different steps and be a bit creative, too, in the outside design. Overall fun for the kids and adults in the group and you can buy a lot of candy, of course. We had fun while at Hershey's Chocolate World, but definitely see a lot of room for improvement and growth within the location. We took part in the trolley tour as well as the make your own candy bar experience. The trolley tour was informative, as we got to learn more about the town and the history behind the company. The candy bar experience was very neat to take part in, as you get a peak at how candy bars are created from start to finish, and even get to see part of the production line! Staff and workers were generally helpful when asked a question, but they did not go out of their way to enhance the guest experience. Specifically we noticed this during the candy bar experience, as guests crowded around the machines, making it hard for others to move and see their bar go down the conveyor belt, kids were running around without adult supervision, and no one around some of the computer based areas to assist guests. While we normally try to look past some of these things, it caused for a lot of annoyance, frustration, and confusion among many guests. Maybe being from Orlando, my views on hospitality, entertainment and theme parks are skewed slightly, but ultimately we were not as impressed as we thought we would be with this experience. We are glad we had the opportunity to come here, and would recommend coming if you have never been before, but I'm unsure if given the opportunity I would come back again. read more
