There's the usual coffee shop sounds - steaming milk, grinding beans, quiet conversations, and music playing. I had the Spring special- cardamom latte with lavender whipped cream. I asked for mine with oatmilk. I just like the mouth-feel of oatmilk in coffee drinks, not a lactose aversion, so I enjoyed mine with the lavender whipped cream. My drink smelled lovely. It's far too easy to move from "pleasantly floral" to "soap". Spouse had a cortado with 4 shots of espresso & had only compliments. As usual, the service was friendly and fast.

I had the pleasure of stopping in on a Monday morning as I was passing through the town. There were a few people taking advantage of indoor booth seating and one guy seated outside at a small table for two. The barista working that morning wasn't the friendliest, but she did make my vanilla iced latte relatively quickly and handed me the chocolate chip cookie just before. The cookie had a nice chew to it and was dusted with flaky salt. It was so fresh and had the right amount of chocolate chips in it. For $3.75, you hope it'd be a damn good cookie and it is. The latte was perfect, as well. Not too sweet, but the vanilla flavor definitely came through. I spent under $10 and felt like it was worth it. Just wish the customer service was a little better! Parking is outside on the street.

Fairly busy Saturday morning, the order line moved at a nice pace, allowing my friends and me time to examine the menu while we waited. I wanted to order the Crab Rangoon pizza again, but I went for the Crab Hash & Eggs, which didn't disappoint. It's great to see the dining room filled with customers enjoying their Valley View menu choices and the people they are dining with. Note: the parking lot fills up quickly on Saturdays.

I found it a little difficult to take in the HUGE menu and make a decision while standing in line, but that's just me. So we ordered, got a table sign and went to find a table. There weren't many available. Like, maybe 2. We sat. We watched some amazing looking food go by. The food was brought out, along with our coffee flight and other beverages. I had a 2-egg breakfast combo and upgraded to the Fruity Pebble French Toast. It was a huge amount of food, likely enough for 3 people. The French toast was beautiful dish and I couldn't finish it all. Once food is dropped off (wordlessly) there is no more "service." You refill your own coffee mug and bus your table when you're done. The food is imaginative and excellent. It's not really a service style I prefer outside of theme park vacations, but the food is good enough that I'll be back.

This was my second visit to Dalicia -- my first was for dessert (which unfortunately didn't win me…read moreover), and this time my adventure buddy was set on giving their dinner menu a try. Menu unseen, expectations unclear...so off we went! Knowing from past experience that the restaurant can feel drafty, I arrived layered up and ready for a cozy-but-practical evening on a cold February night. We walked in around 6pm without a reservation and were seated without issue as we were the only two people inside other than folks working. We started with the flatbread appetizer (feta, spinach, artichoke, mozzarella, mushrooms, peppers, scallions, turkey pepperoni on flaky pastry - $8), and honestly -- this was the highlight of the night. The pastry was thin and crisp, piled generously with toppings, and finished with what tasted like a garlicky sauce that brought everything together beautifully. Light, flavorful, and genuinely delicious. In hindsight, I should have just ordered a second one and called it dinner while things were still making me do the happy food dance. For my entrée, I ordered the Turkey Pesto Crepe ($12.25), described as sliced turkey, mushrooms, tomatoes, provolone mozzarella cheese, and sun-dried tomato pesto. On paper, this sounded fantastic -- a combination that should have delivered distinct flavors and textures. Unfortunately, everything blended together into one uniform consistency, and the individual ingredients didn't stand out the way I had hoped. It wasn't inedible -- I just lost interest after a few bites because nothing felt memorable. My adventure buddy ordered the Sarma (Stuffed Cabbage) ($18.95), described as cabbage stuffed with beef, onions, and rice, served with potatoes (his choice instead of rice). Again, the ingredients sounded promising, but the overall experience landed in the "fine" category -- nothing wrong, but nothing particularly exciting either. The potatoes fell into the same space: acceptable, but lacking seasoning or personality that might elevate the dish. We paired dinner with Pepsi Zero ($2.25 each -- note for fellow Diet Pepsi fans, they don't carry it here). Total for the evening came to about $55 including tip. It may simply not be my flavor style, but I'm always glad to support local and try something new.
