Friends and our sons went for dinner to the changing Boston Seaport area. We parked in a lot down the street, had a bit of a walk and it was cold. Up flights of stairs into the restaurant that was packed on the Thursday after Christmas. Beautifully decorated in the Tuscan style inside, great waitstaff, and delish food. Very nice wine list as well. Next time I think we'll sit in the bar area to the left as you walk in. There were floor to ceiling windows overlooking the entire area. My gripe is that this is a very meat-heavy menu. Not even one pasta dish on the lunch menu was vegetarian!

I would love to give this place a fat 0 star review. Our experience was such an epic fail. Had a reservation for 8pm, we weren't seated until 8:50!! We barley got an apology. At this point I needed a wine BAD, wanna know how long it took our server to get my wine.. 30 MINUTES! I kept trying to go out to the bar and get my wine myself but each time my server would come over and say it's on its way. Not cool dude. By the time we could put an order in we had to change to light appetizers vs an actually entree bc it was so late at night to enjoy something of a larger format. Every dish we got was under seasoned and luke warm. The manager came up to one of us as we we're leaving asking how things were. My friend told him it wasn't good and the guy said "Oh ok have a good night." Um FYI that's typically where you should be trying to redeem yourself! Unreal. Not worth it. Tip to management - if you're SO disorganized your resos are almost an hour behind, you need to rotate your tables and kindly ask parties to leave. No excuses for this BS! MUST DO LIST! Fresh, delicate flavors, attentive service, and a fabulous time! My party of 6 started with flutes of prosecco and delicious Caprese salad and prosciutto and melon. I tried a gorgeous lobster ravioli and a decadent butternut squash cappellacci, which could have been a dessert. For my entree, I chose tender, braised short ribs. Throughout service, the GM Charlie, our beloved waiter, Mario, and all of the support staff tended to our every need and made this special occasion (2 birthdays) a night to remember! We capped off the evening with limoncellos, torte caldo, and zeppolis for all. Can't wait to return and repeat this fun and lively night out with my favorite friends! P.S. I went to dinner with my family for my birthday and it was the best experience ever! Our waiter was the absolute best. His name was Diego and he was prompt and attentive. He also explained a lot about the menu and was able to alter dishes with different sauces without any problem. He was also very nice and very social. My mom has trouble speaking English so Diego being bilingual made it super easy for my mom to order what she liked! At the end Diego also brought out complimentary cake for me and it was delicious. When we were walking along on seaport Blvd on Saturday night, we saw this restaurant. We had heard good things about this place from a friend so we decided to give it a try. We did not have the reservation but only had to wait for 10 minutes to be seated. This place was pretty crowded which I was a little bit surprised given so many excellent Italian restaurants around this area. (North End is only 10-15 minutes away from here). We had two special dishes: pan seared strip bass, and soft-shell crabs. They were quite good, and the portion was huge but it was not cheap. I guess I have to remember this is a high-end restaurant. People here were extremly friendly and we truly enjoyed the time at this place. read more

Simply delicious... and a selection of gluten-free pasta including ravioli, which is rare! My husband already plans to come back for the butternut squash soup, spiked with tart, tender cranberries and a lashing of creme fraiche. I can't tell you what a wonderful , caring, exciting restaurant this is. We literally stumbled upon this as suggested by a wonderful Irish man crossing the street with us, giving us local advice. He was spot on! We not only stopped in on a Thursday night...we liked it so much we went back on Sat.night! The surf and turf special (scallops and filet) were excellent ! Attention to detail was impeccable ! Thank you for 2 excellent dinners.... then we went back for a superb Sunday brunch...expecting a buffet... we were happy to see it was an order off the menu! The best restaurant in Boston! I have been here many times over the past year and a half and have never had a bad experience. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is to die for, and the atmosphere is awesome. Definitely a great spot for date night or a family dinner. The owners/management are super friendly, always present, and make sure everyone in the restaurant is happy and enjoying their meal. I've had so many amazing waiters here, but I highly recommend requesting Mario- he has the best recommendations and will make sure your dinner is perfect. One of the best experiences I've ever had dining out! Our server Mario was so friendly and knowledgeable! We trusted him to pair our wine with what we ordered and he nailed it. My mom and I picked up my little brother at the convention center and decided to go to dinner. We never been to Tuscan kitchen and decided to give it a go. We got two pasta dishes and and app and two drinks. My mom and I split duck parppadelle and a yellow tail tartar and my brother got short rib pasta. The pastas were unbelievable! So good! Now for the tartar. It was not good. To my taste. Very spicy and that took the flavor of an amazing mint sauce and there were little fried shrimp that I thought were just misplaced. Just awful tartar to my taste. Drinks I had sangria Bianco that was very good and my mom has Tuscan sour that was strange and not so sour. Bill was 119 that is absolutely fine for 3 people. Atmosphere is fancy and just doesn't feel welcoming or cozy . I want to eat pasta like this in a warm environment. I am not sure if I will ever go back to Tuscan but overall it was not horrible experience and if it wasn't for tartar it would have been an outstanding dinning outing. This used to be my favorite place in Salem but I was very disappointed with the pizza. I called in an order to Tuscan market for pizza but I accidentally called Tuscan kitchen and they took a very long time to even understand or place the order for the pizza which should have been a tip off that I called the wrong place and when i went to pick it up they said it was at the kitchen. Strangely they make the pizzas very different sizes so it was so strange to get a sought raw tiny version of what I usually order. The pizza was a third the size and the dough wasn't cooked and they sliced it like it were a full sized pizza creating pieces of complete crust or a weird tiny sliver. When I called they said that's how it was supposed to be but when I brought it back the manager said that was not what it should look like. He said he would refund me but two trips I. The snow and I was not going to get food there so I ordered a big hot cheese pizza from Romano's down the street. read more

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a while. We made a reservation for 7:30pm on a Saturday night. The hostess stand was crowded, and when we checked in the hostess didn't seem to know what was going on, and at that point I would have appreciated them letting us know they were running behind schedule... After 15 minutes of waiting I asked her if we should get a drink at the bar while we wait, or if we will be seated soon. She told us to get a drink at the bar. We went to the bar and waited 10 minutes before the bartender acknowledged our presence. I looked around and noticed a few other couples getting the same treatment. Once we received our drinks we went back to the hostess stand, and we were seated at 8:05. Appetizers were good, we had the burrata and arancini, but the busser took away the food when we were halfway through! We then ordered the boneless spare ribs - and they arrived suspiciously quick. So quick that the waiter was shocked to see it had arrived at our table, and we didn't receive our new utensils yet before it came. The meat itself was dry and bland - it was like we ordered corned beef. All in all a really disappointing experience. I don't mind paying a premium for a nice dinner, but if you are going to try to charge that kind of money for a meal the quality of the service and food better back it up. I won't be back again and I certainly would advice you to spend your night out elsewhere - clearly they don't care about your time there. read more
