What an amazing evening! From the onset of the check-in with the Hostesses all the way until we paid the bill! The hostesses were gracious and welcoming - which gave a clue to how you wanted the evening to turn out. Our waitress - Brittany was wonderful! She was radiant as she created our wonderful evening. We enjoyed everything from the cocktails, appetizers and the main course followed by dessert. Everything was good and each dish made us eager for the next! I stopped in and sat at the bar. The bartender closest to me had his head in the cash register. He looked like he was trying to figure something out with his bank. He never looked up and never made eye contact. I got up and moved my seat and the same thing. This went on for over 5 minutes but when you are 8 feet away from someone that is supposed to greet you that is a long time. You have to intentionally avoid someone in a case like this. Finally I asked a waiter at the service bar for help and he asked another bartender to serve me. The server/bartender never wiped down the bar (there was a previous diner that was sitting there) but I was finally was able to get my order in. I did not go into the main dining room so I don't know what it looked like but the bar experience was pretty terrible. I would avoid this Tuscan Kitchen and go to one of the many other restaurant choices in the Seaport. read more

Tuscan Kitchen. I cannot say enough nice things about Tuscan Kitchen - and ESPECIALLY about our waiter, Mario, and the AGM, Jeff! First off, the entire experience felt so safe and socially distanced. Plenty of hand sanitizer, immaculately clean bathrooms, and plenty of distance between other diners. Mario was probably the best server I've ever had. Attentive, great recommendations, incredibly friendly. The food and cocktails were amazing. Jeff came by to make sure that everything was going smoothly and that we had everything that we needed. Just had an excellent dinner at Tuscan Kitchen in the Seaport. We started with their house cured artisan salumi and imported cheese board, which was fantastic and offered an excuse to eat more of their deliciously crusty bread. For entrees we went with the Tagliatelle al Tartufo. Definitely a decadent dish with more fresh truffles than I've ever seen on a pasta dish. We also had the lobster ravioli, which we loved. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is great with high energy and an attention to detail. Our drinks were never empty and we were taken very good care of by our waiter Jorge. Shout out to GM Charlie Wright for running a restaurant the way it should be. Made us feel very welcomed and clearly has created a well oiled operation. One thing I noticed is that they have lots of long tables for large parties. Great location for a big get together! read more

Three stars for ambiance and service... Zero stars for Food = very disappointing. We got fried calamari to share and they were super dry and tasteless. I got Fusilli and Rock shrimp and they looked and tasted like anything but pasta and shrimp. The fusilli were uncooked (and I don't mean "al dente" as that's ALWAYS the way I cook them at home". They were hard and tasteless...and the whole dish resembled more to a stew than pasta & shrimp. Too watery for my taste and the shrimp was tasteless as well. My friend got salmon with potatoes, and potatoes were uncooked as well. I don't know what was going on with the chef as the restaurant was not busy at all, there were just a few ppl sitting on 2-3 other tables. We got the Mozzarella en Carozza and I wasn't impressed at all The food (at least what I tried) was very unimpressive, and for the price you're paying totally not worth it. read more

My friends and I went to Tuscan kitchen for Galentines Day and it was a nice experience. The decor is nice, there is a seated areas, places to sit in front of the kitchen and a bar area. However we did place a reservation at 8:30 and was not seated until 9pm which was quite frustrating. When we were seated the food did come quickly and everyone enjoyed there meals. I had the arancini and the Tuscan kitchen Caesar, both were good, although the cranberry sauce was a bit overpowering on the arancini. All meals were beautiful plated and the portion sizes were reasonable. The dessert menu also had a wide variety. I will be back for dinner date soon. read more

Hungry and wanting to try a new restaurant , I decided to stop by Tuscan Kitchen in Seaport for dinner. The moment I stepped in, I was quickly greeted by the friendly workers and proceeded to sit down. I quickly looked over the menu and decided to order the lobster ravioli. I have not had a lobster ravioli in a very long time so I was looking forward to it. The dish came out fairly fast and the moment I took a glance at it...I was turned off by the four tiny shrimp. At all the other restaurants I been to.. the chefs would plate the dish with lobster meat instead of tiny shrimps. Even though it was a red flag for me.. I was optimistic that the lobster ravioli would be delicious still. The moment I took my first bite.. I almost thought I was eating a potato ravioli. The chefs broke down the lobster meat so much that I could not even taste it. I was even more disappointed knowing that the dish costed me 33 dollars. I ended up getting dessert because I thought it would save the night. I was definitely too optimistic.. the lemon sorbet I got was so sour that I thought I was eating an actual lime. There was no balance of sweet and sour that I was looking for. I came here with my family and their friends. As Argentineans, we have high standards for Italian food. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed, particularly given that it's so pricey. The seaport is absolutely gorgeous and the restaurant looked lovely as well. However, the food and the service overshadowed the environment. Although the service was alright, the food tasted mediocre. The warm bread they served at the beginning was delicious along with the tomato sauce to dip it in. According to my family, the calamari was good but not amazing. But when I ordered the mozzarella carazzo, things started going downhill. It came with mozzarella sticks and pesto that tastes similar to the one I make at my house. My mom and I shared the lobster ravioli which was kind of spicy but otherwise flavorless. Not even the cheese could save it. I don't like to waste food so I ate my half, but none of us except for one person decided to order dessert. She ordered the Panna cotta, which she said was not good at all. I don't usually write reviews like this, but given the price of the restaurant, I wanted to shed some light on its quality. read more

Truly disappointed here, after much anticipation. The space is beyond gorgeous, I do have to say. But the food fell way short of the design/decor and, more importantly, the price tag. My pappardelle was overcooked, and my duck was extremely dry and under seasoned. The dish was clearly NOT even close to being made to order, and it showed. The portion was decent, but for upper 30 bucks, I'd expect it to be a little bit bigger. The same could be said for my wife's boar gnocchi: dry protein and overcooked starch. A couple of "okay" glasses of wine (each) later, and this lunch was $175.... ummmm me thinks not. read more

Well that was really disappointing. How hard is it for a bartender to take care of a guest at an empty bar? I guess when you are chatting it up with ONE guest or a co- worker , why get bogged down with a paying customer, right? I travel to Boston every other week. This place is officially off my list. Horrible experience. We went there for Sunday brunch with a group of our friends. The place was completely empty and in hindsight that should've been a red flag. Here are all the things that went wrong: - Coffee mugs they use are cracked. Coffee they served was leaking out of them and it took 15 mins to flag down the waiter (the place is huge and the waiter had gone somewhere and didn't ever check in with us to see how we were doing) - I ordered French toast and basically what they served was last night's SAVORY dinner bread that was sprinkled in cinnamon and maple syrup. - My GF ordered the eggs benedict. There was no seasoning on anything and they were completely missing key ingredients (it was supposed to have Pesto, etc) Terrible food, bad service. Don't try it. read more

This was such a disappointing Sunday brunch. The waiter took forever even though the restaurant was only about 10% filled. I ordered the ricotta pancakes and a side of sausage. After waiting another 30 minutes for the food the waiter brought me regular pancakes not ricotta. When I told him that wasn't right, he argued with me insisting they were not the regular pancakes. The pancakes were stone cold and hard as rocks. The sausage never came. Although they didn't charge me, it was still a terrible experience. read more

"Tuscan Kitchen" a S**t show to experience where my expectation where from top to bottom and underground to never come back again. I took my wife to a good memorable dinner, but it turns out the opposite. As we entered at the restaurant, the host welcomed us, the only person who smiled on that place from the rest of the staff, she asked a tall guy, another host, to bring us to our table, but probable he didn't speak a language at all cause he was carrying a face with zero reactions or motions. Anyways, as we sat, somebody who I believe at the end was our server, approached to our table, pour water into our glasses, no eye contact, said nothing but "let me know if you have a question" and walked a way, hmm ok. I had a question, but he was gone. My wife and I were just laughing at the service quality for the first impression. I was expecting more for a restaurant that carries that name and it's location with good interior feature dinning set up. YOU WILL GET A BETTER SERVICE FROM HOSPITALITY AT ANY FAST FOOD RESTAURANT OR PIZZA CORNER, than this so called "Tuscan Kitchen" So the server came back, and ask us the same question, this time making a second time frame eye contact. As I look at my wife and as her and I understand our thinking we conclude in a "yes that's our server." At that point we are hungry, let's get into business, who cares about the service at that point. After the appetizer we order ravioli and it was nothing I expected of 5 peace's for $35 of bad smelling and testing food. Consider the North End before you go to eat at Tuscan Kitchen. Trader Joys raviolis are better by the way. A cheese cake factory will do better here. read more

Stopped in for a quick snack. The Italian food here is subpar as far as Boston goes. The decor and ambiance is nice. There was live music the night that I went. The wine list is reasonable. The food is overpriced, probably an average of nearly 5$ more per entree dish than in Boston's North End Italian district, where the best Italian food is located. The service was underwhelming (forgot cutlery, did not offer cheese or pepper for pasta, no bread with the pasta....had to ask for all of these). The bolognese lacked flavor and depth. The parmesan cheese was flavorless, leading me to wonder about its quality. The balsamic was also flavorless and seemed watered down. I would stick with the North End if you are looking for Italian dining. read more

I felt obligated to go out of my way to sign up for yelp to simply write this negative review. Last Friday, my extended family and I (9 guests total) went for dinner to celebrate a dental school graduation. I ordered the wild boar Ragu Gnocchi dish, and interestingly I was the last guest served at the table. Normally I would not have an issue with waiting an extra 30 seconds for the dish, but when my Gnocchi finally arrived, my first bite was FROZEN GNOCCHI!! I thought maybe there was a problem with my taste buds, and I tried another one, and same thing. The Gnocchi was frozen!!! After complaining about my frozen meal, the wait staff took it back, and likely warmed it up in a microwave. I do have to admit, that once warm to a normal eating temperature, the Gnocchi was good. Tuscan kitchen is a restaurant where it prides itself on its freshly made pasta and authentic recipes. I was taken aback that when paying 40$++ for fresh pasta, you should actually get fresh pasta, not something that is frozen from a bag and reheated for unsuspecting guests in a microwave. For this level of deception from a very expensive restaurant, I will not be going back, and will advise my local friends of their frozen food debacles. read more

we had a most delicious dinner at the Tuscan kitchen tonight. I started with a bib salad which was pricey but absolutely fresh and delicious. I ordered the short rib pasta and it was the perfect thing to order. Making something like that dish would take forever at home and the caramelized onions just melted in my mouth. I could have eaten even more than I was on my plate. We all ordered different desserts including the hot Italian donuts which were out of this world. Service was excellent and unexpected fun occurred as we watched unsuspecting guests across the street at the yotel forget to close that window. I love the decorating and ambience of the restaurant and would absolutely return. I think the cost is slightly above what I would expect. read more

Tom our Server was Great. As were his support team....We took our two young boys and they were more than accommodating. The food - for what it is - was over-priced. The problem when you try and present a fine dining product in a 500 seat restaurant is that it takes on a production line feel. To be clear, the food was not BAD - it was fine but at these prices one expects it to be GREAT. The ambience is strange - it feels like a vegas or a cruise ship restaurant. Strange cartoon tuscan murals, Faux italian pillars with white cloth service. I feel like its biggest downfall is its size - i can't believe that many italians would eat there. The best comparison is the "authentic english pub" in downtown boston called the "elephant and castle" - its actually a canadian publicly traded chain and has NO resemblance to my old country's pub culture or experience. read more

A lovely place to dine in Boston Seaport! The rustic Italian ambiance greets you as you walk in and upstairs to the bar lounge area. The view is fantastic, city lights all around at night and the seating is cozy. Our party started with a drink at the bar. The bar keep was polite and attentive offering us several menus of libations to select from. A favorite was a lemon and basil cocktail - unique. We were seated by the fireplace right at our reservation time. The waiter was kind and charming. We enjoyed some appetizers of Colossal Shrimp Cocktail (flavorful sauce), Caprese (the cheese was superb, a little scanty on the basil though) and main courses of Ravioli ai Quattro Formaggi (delicious and very rich in butter), Lobster Ravioli, Tagliatelle al Tartufo (with fresh shaved truffles - so wonderful). We finished with some refreshing gelatos of pistachio and salted caramel. Both a perfect way to end a delectable meal. The prices were what you would expect for a fine dining establishment in the city. You should make plans for a meal here! Saluti! read more

A disappointing experience last night. We arrived and were shown to our table. As I sat down there was broken glass on the seat of my chair (several pieces), which the guy who showed me to the table started picking up with his hands after I handed him a large piece I sat on. Then he left and never came back or apologized or brought us to a new table. So I stood there awkwardly next to my chair with the glass for 4-5 minutes wondering what was up. Finally I pulled a chair from another table and sat down. A woman came 5 minutes later with a broom, never saw the guy again, no acknowledgement or apology. (The general manager should look into how things like this should be handled). Our waiter came over and gave a very long monologue about every section of the menu, seeming to highlight each of the priciest items as the best and ones that we should order. In fact every interaction with the waiter seemed an attempt to up-sell ("would you like add meatballs to your bolognese?!"). The food itself was pretty good. The gnocchi was excellent, the pasta with duck was pretty good but the pasta was stuck together in large clumps. The chicken was a large portion and was decent. The food was very slow to come out (about 50 minutes from ordering to receiving our dinners). We had to ask a couple of times about where our food was and again -no apology, just a "should be out soon". The prices here are quite high (the gnocchi was $32 for example) and the decor seems very generic, like what you would find in a suburb or Las Vegas. Nothing was wrong with it, just nothing at all unique or special. I guess they will do well with the hotels and convention center nearby but with so many wonderful options on Boston I will not be back. read more

Our reservation was at 9:30, we did not get seated until 9:50. We ordered our starter and finished it, nobody checked in with us until we had finished our wine. Once our dinner got there my date had asked for some condiments and never got them. On top of all that. When we asked for dessert they had told us that the kitchen has closed, which is something that we should've been told once the kitchen was closing. Definitely not worth $150. read more
