Trout filet with veggies and a hazelnut / citrus vin8
    George E.

Tupelo Grille in Whitefish , MT was chosen for dinner tonight. Located on the main drive in Whitefish, this place is fine dining. The decor contains tin ceiling tiles, brick walls, lots of dark stained wood and eclectic art on the walls. The vibe is cool and special. The wait staff was attentive and great about presentation of specials. We ordered crawfish and shrimp cakes with remoulade and celery leaves. This was amazing with the slaw enhancing the appetizer. Reward your taste buds and order this dish. The beet salad had whipped feta, hazelnut brittle, and preserved lemon vinegarette. Again flavor was salty, peppery but could of used a hint of sweetness like candied pecans for crunch. Our entree was the crusted trout filet with veggies in a hazelnut / citrus brown butter. The crusted trout was good and the veggies were perfectly done but the flavor was minimal. The ambiance here is great. You expect a very special meal is this very nice venue. The staff was on their "A" game. The food was good but felt they need a small enhancement to vault them over the top. Tupelo Grille is a place you should try for a special evening.

Went to Tupelo Grill for dinner. Service was a little on the slower side as it seemed like the bar tender was also waiting tables. They had someone come around with water which I thought at first was our server but it wasn't. The food was very good, and would recommend if you are looking for a good meal in whitefish, MT!

This place was pretty good they have a bar side with life music and a restaurant side for dinner service. We tried an array of things: Cocktails: affordable housing, Aperol Spritz , old fashioned the Smokey Smokey whiskey flight. They were all wonderful. Food: Beet salad, shrimp and grits, New York steak and the lamb rack. Everything had great flavor, was it the best I have had, no it wasn't but it was really good and all plates were cleared. This place had a nice ambiance and I would certainly recommend it for a lovely date night. Great service as well.

Wow! This is a Fantastic Restaurant in 'downtown' whitefish. We started with a lot of questions about the cocktails, and the waitress got some additional info from the bar tender. Then, when we ordered drinks, we got an extra one! The waitress said the bartender (Alec) wanted to make sure we were happy with our drinks. And were we ever! The drinks we ordered were great and the extra one we fought over! We got the daily special appetizer-- wild mushrooms cooked in a cream sherry sauce and served over crostini with a little greens and truffle oil. They might have been the best mushrooms we've had! My partner got the 14 oz rib eye, cooked medium rare. The steak has a crispy crust. It melted in your mouth. The onion fig sauce was delicious. I had the blackened shrimp with grits. They were the best shrimp and grits I've ever had, there was a cream cheese jalapeño sauce that I was a bit suspicious of, but that made the dish. I hope we make it back to whitefish so I can come back here!

    Chicken fried eggs Benedict

Just resting after a fabulous Sunday brunch! Started with a Bloody Mary and we asked that it not be too spicy -- and it was perfect with a little zing, but didn't take our heads off. I ordered the fried chicken eggs Benedict. The chicken batter had a dill flavor which added to the taste. The has browns were crispy and the biscuits to die for. It was sooooo good! My sister had the fried chicken and waffles, also excellent. Portions are large and the prices are reasonable. Our server was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our culinary experience.

Wasn't sure what to expect once we entered. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The server, Penny was bubbly and offered great suggestions. We started with the most amazing Pimento Cheese plate, incredible! The Cesar salad was not traditional...but better. I had the Fried Chicken and it was a standout! My husband had the Bison tenderloin which was equally memorable! The downside to this spot, it's not near where we live in S.F.

The people and the food were amazing - great live music. Wonderful southern cooking if that's what you're looking for.

Came in with a business colleague for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was slammed, we could only get a 745 reservation but we were seated promptly. Waitress was very good, prompt service and friendly. Ordered the tuna poke for our appetizer and the shrimp and grits for dinner. Asked the waitress to pick between short rib and shrimp and she said shrimp was amazing. So turns out she was right! Tuna was good, seared and served over a delicious rice cake thingy. Was yummy I used to eat shrimp and grits at a place in the middle of nowhere South Carolina, and it was the best I've ever had. Was the first one I ever had too. So I always compare them to that place. Tupelo was as close as anyone has gotten. Plump shrimp covered in sauce over a grit cake. Was just delicious On the way out I noticed the bar had several bottles of Blood Oath bourbon! I returned on Saturday night to have some of that bourbon. A flight of all 3 pacts, 7.8.9 was $100 for an ounce of each. They were exactly as I would expect, oaky and full of flavor. I added a Caesar salad and the special, a 16oz Montana ribeye to them and it was a night I won't soon forget. Ceaser salad was good, had anchovies which is a must for me. Steak was ordered medium rare and delivered perfectly medium rare Covered in maitre d butter it was out of this world. Fresh steak makes all the difference. Was amazingly tender and so full of flavor Steak came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Both were good Service was once again top notch. Service here is world class.

Quite possibly the best restaurant I've been to in 2025. This place is very popular. We were here in the off season and it was still difficult to get a reservation. I'm so glad we chose this place for our special occasion dinner because everything is absolutely perfect. The staff here is excellent. Prompt efficient service. It's clear they care about everything being to their customer's satisfaction. We ordered the must try Biscuits. The best value on the menu at only $4 for two. Absolutely fabulous. Best biscuits I ever remember having. If only you could get a side of honey to go with them. We ordered the soup of the day which was clam chowder. Excellent soup. It wasn't overly thick or creamy. It was just perfect. Huge bowl was only $14. My other half ordered the pork which was $39 and she described as the most tender pork she ever had. I got a fish special which was Halibut. Best Halibut I ever had. Both dishes were exquisitely presented and had perfect accompaniments. Both were HUGE. We all know the fancy restaurant that has great food but tiny portion. This place has the same great food but an enormous portion. We were way too full for desert so we got the bread pudding to go and ate it for breakfast the next day. Just like the entrees it was a ridiculously huge portion. If we are ever in the area again we'll be back

The banana Pudding, and the Bread putting across the table.

I love the lighting, I personally tried the catfish and enjoyed it, The Bison was also pretty good. But the main thing I enjoyed was the Banana Pudding, it was honestly one of the best things I've eaten. It was gone way too quickly. And the servers were polite and on top of things.

Huckleberry cheesecake with chocolate and huckleberry sauces.

My favorite restaurant in Whitefish, which says a lot considering how many fantastic options there are downtown. I get the ribeye every time, but I think the sides change sometimes? Their hush puppies are the best I've ever had, and I've had a LOT of hush puppies in my 36 years of life lol. French onion soup? Delish Elk meatloaf?? Incredible, and not the least bit gamey. Dessert? They knock it out of the park every time. We eat here every time we're in town (2-3x yearly) and always leave full and satisfied.

Chilled corn chowder, salsa verde, lump crab meat - excellent!

Our best dinner on our family trip to Montana in July, 2022! The service was excellent. I had made reservations for a party of 5. I highly recommend making reservations wherever you plan to dine while in the White Fish area. The ambiance was "date night" or a business meal.

So I'm telling you up front. Don't get any ideas. Don't ask for a piece. Just leave me be. Better yet, go online and order you some for yourself. That's the smart move. M&S Meats jerky is the absolute best I've ever had, and I've been eating jerky for over fifty years. It's best by a wide margin. It's way better than any other jerky I know of. It's kinda pricey, too. But this jerky is totally worth it. It's a treasure. Maybe a more generous soul would gladly share their treasure with you. I suggest you go looking for that person, 'cause for sure I ain't him. M&S has so many wonderful jerkies to choose from. I have tried a few different ones but I always come back to the Original. I get the Original erry time. Once in a while I'll add a package of Black Pepper Jerky to my order. That Black Pepper jerky is hella good. If you are used to eating inferior jerky, this jerky might seem "tough" and a little hard to chew. That's because this is real jerky. Real, authentic jerky. It's chewy, as it's supposed to be. When you tear off a strip and pop it into your mouth you have to chew a little bit to get it going. And when it gets going, you better hold on to something, because you're about to experience a slow motion tsunami of rich beefy flavor being released inside your mouth. The flavor just does not quit. Chew it slowly and savor that flavor. Soooo satisfying! M&S Meats jerky is so great because it is made from choice cuts of whole muscle meat. This jerky is hand-cut, hand-hung and hand-smoked. This jerky is about as far as you can get from the chopped and formed abominations you might find for sale in a plastic tub next to the cash register at your local liquor store. If you love beef jerky, or you love someone who does, I recommend you try some M&S Meats jerky. I get shipments on the reg. I usually buy four or five packages at a time. These days a quarter pound of jerky is $14.99. Shipping to my part of the country is $8.99, for one to seven 1/4 lb packages. and shipping is free if you buy 8 or more packages. Oh yeah, I wanted to mention they also sell Huckleberry Jam, and like 40 something other Huckleberry products. I'm adding some of that jam to my next order. Mikey C says: Nope. Sorry. Not one piece. Get your own!

That was me--ready for something easy, comfy, and, well, not fine dining gear-up. Here's my breakdown: 1. Hawaiian pizza -- unexpectedly tasty. Sweet pineapple, savory ham--totally earned 5 stars. 2. Restroom cleanliness -- I won't lie, it's meh. Gotta give it 3 stars, just keeping it real. 3. Music -- guess what? It was my personal jam playlist. That alone gets 5 stars from me. 4. Server game -- chilled vibes, no extra fluff, just smooth and friendly. Easily a solid 4.5 stars. 5. Floors -- could've been cleaner, so let's call it 3 stars there. All that said, compared to other park-side fast-food joints, this one actually stands out. I saw a few reviewers mention friendly service and clean(ish) spots around Montana's locations . This joint picks up where others kinda drop off. Bottom line: You want something quick, warm, and just kind of feel-good after hiking? Rocketing yourself into 5-star territory? You're basically there with the pizza and playlist vibes. Just needs a little scrub-up and boom -- perfect detour.

We were "helped" by an older woman named Robin, and her customer service was honestly some of the worst I've ever experienced. From the moment we walked in, she clearly had no interest in acknowledging us. We stood at the counter and politely called out to her several times, and she literally kept her back turned to us, ignoring us like we weren't even there. When she finally did come over, there was no greeting, no basic courtesy, nothing. Just attitude. When it came time to pay, she tossed the card machine toward us right as the tip screen popped up, which felt really passive-aggressive and unprofessional. On top of that, she kept giving us dirty looks, which made the whole interaction uncomfortable and awkward. I completely understand that people have long days and get tired, but basic respect and manners are not optional when you're working with customers. Being ignored, treated like an inconvenience, and then given attitude on top of it is unacceptable. Because of this experience with Robin, I honestly don't feel like coming back to this location. Management needs to address this - no customer should be treated that way.
