So happy we finally got to check out this spot! Amazing food, service & laughs! The bar is absolutely stunning and the selection of spirits they have is amazing! Can't wait to go back!

Wow, we were not expecting this great culinary experience on our girls trip! The decor is very LA and gorgeous, I cannot rave enough about the bathroom! The service was amazing and our server was very knowledgeable and attentive to our table and explained everything in the menu. Also the dishes were fantastic, I highly recommend the duck and caviar service! Also check out the rooftop bar, amazing views!

This is a must stop in whitefish! We started with cocktails at the bar and the espresso martini was perfect/not too sweet. Once we started dinner we first had the foie gras - a chef special and it did not disappoint - It was so fatty like butter. The caviar service was also wonderful. For my entree I absolutely recommend the duck - the skin was crispy it was juicy and unbelievably flavorful- do not skip it! I left very very full and satisfied. Last but not least our waiter Joe was 10/10 service!!

Everything is exquisite here -- the food, desserts, lighting, cups, staff, restrooms, and overall decoration. The owner truly has good taste. (A little small portion of the food)

We loved this spot!!! We chose to spend the last night of our honeymoon here and it was absolutely the correct choice. For appetizers we got the tomato salad and the Korean short ribs (both wonderful, if I had to choose- the Korean short ribs were definitely the favorite!) We then both got the wagyu New York steak which was incredible!! We both agreed it was one of the best New York steaks we've had. Service was friendly and there was even a congratulations card on our table when we arrived!! Server gave us great recommendations and it truly was a wonderful night. Be sure to check out the rooftop bar, also! Pricing was comparable to other high-end restaurants. Definitely not an every day experience but we found it worth it for the special occasion! Thank you Herb & Omni for a beautiful night!

Food was amazing! The chickpea panisse and the grilled Korean short rib were absolute standouts--so flavorful and perfectly prepared. We also enjoyed the pan-roasted king salmon and the range wagyu cut of the day, which were both excellent. The ambiance was really nice. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.

A really incredible dining experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional, creative, beautifully presented, and super delicious. Our server Andrew provided warm, attentive service, and Steve the manager made us feel truly welcomed. Herb & Omni is a gem in Whitefish.

We only went for drinks, but were extremely impressed with the craftsmanship of the bartender. We spotted that this place had a roof top and we had time to kill prior to dinner. You walk through a beautifully appointed restaurant to be then escorted up to the roof. Only drawback, not enough shaded areas. Great views and vibe. As mentioned, the bartender made one of the very best slightly dirty Grey Goose Martinis I've ever had! Kudos to him!

Best restaurant in Whitefish! Herb & Omni is awesome So beautifully decorated in the nicest building in town. The restaurant is on the first floor, the second and third floors are VIP lounges and used for private events or cabaret nights, and the beautiful rooftop is a lounge. Dennis, our server, was amazing. And the food was simply incredible.

I went here while on a ski trip in Whitefish for my birthday dinner and wow...I haven't been this impressed with a restaurant in a long while!! The whole experience from taking my coat at the door and personalized birthday card at my seat, to the surprise cookies and "'milk" at the end of the meal was spectacular! Our family of 5 tried many of the dishes including the rabbit of the day (for 2), wagyu dish, bison, and scallops with grits. Everything was so delicious and unlike anything I've had in the past. The prices are expensive but worth it for the whole package! Will definitely come back on my next trip to the area! So happy we happened upon this place.

Oh my gosh - this place blew me away! This is potentially the most unique and delicious meal I've ever had in all of Flathead Valley. First the ambiance is upscale, sexy, and has a feeling of understated opulence. You could put this restaurant in any major city and it would compete with the best of the best. However, the low key energy and comfortable service ensures you don't feel out of place in your typical Montana attire, but you certainly dress up for an elegant evening out if you wanted. Next, as someone who prefers to eat vegetarian, the menu was so delightful, with so many options I could eat, I felt like a kid in a candy store. But, the best part, the food was outstanding!!! We started with the hazelnut pate and the chickpea fritters. Holy cow - they were amazing!!! The flavor combinations were unique and special. We then shared the crab cake, which was cooked perfectly and had a topping of shaved greens that were bright and paired perfectly with the crab. For mains, I ended up having the squash soup and he had the scallops. Again, I was blown away by the favor and quality of the food. Here are my takeaways. 1. Will we bring all our houseguests here? Yes, absolutely. The fact that vegetarians and carnivores can happily enjoy a meal together is special. 2. Will we do all special occasions here? Yes. 3. Will we find an excuse to come here again and again? Yes, as long as the theme continues to include the unique and special vegetarian options. While the bill reflected the quality of the ingredients and level of cooking, it's worth it.

We've visited Whitefish many times and always look forward to the food and hospitality, but our experience at Herb and Omni was truly disappointing. We had a dinner reservation and were the first table in the restaurant that evening, arriving early and excited for a special night out. Within two minutes of walking in, we overheard our server, Brandon, speaking negatively about our group. It was incredibly unprofessional and immediately set a bad tone. Things went from bad to worse when one of our drinks had shards of glass in it from a broken cup. When we brought it to Brandon's attention, he didn't apologize or show any concern -- instead, he blamed us, saying we must have "cheers'd too hard." Not only was that response dismissive, but it was also unsafe and completely unacceptable. Throughout the evening, Brandon's attitude was cold, condescending, and made our entire group feel unwelcome -- all while we spent over $1,300 on dinner. Whitefish is a beautiful town, and while the dining options are somewhat limited, we expected better from a restaurant that presents itself as upscale. Based on this experience, we won't be returning to Herb and Omni, and we'd recommend others think twice before booking a dinner here.

Dessert-- huckleberry cobbler. Underwhelmed. Wish the ice cream had more pine flavor.

Upscale, date like place. "Fancy," food. Creative options. Unique flavors. Tried the beet appetizer. Solid. Nothing too special though. Mushroom appetizer. Tasty, loved the smoke infusion. Flavors weren't as pronounced as I would've liked. Would be nice with a citrus garnish. Ordered the truffle gnocchi. Gnocchi was heavy and dense and fried. Truffles were not over flavorful-- guess summer truffles aren't as flavorful. My Dad got the fish. He thought it was dry. Pretty small potion but not bad.

We thought everything was great and very reasonable priced. The guy taking our order for the food was friendly and brought my son a refill when he spilled his drink at the table. We ordered a drink from the bar to take to the table and thought the service was fine. The bar was busy and we had to wait a couple of minutes, but that was it. Its also our rights not support a bar that would offend more than half the population. How stupid is that if the business is there to make money. There are a lot of other great places that dont alienating their customers. And the real let down is we were out celebrating our anniversary with friends. We were seated within five minutes in a room with a view of the street. It was raining outside, and it felt nice and cozy inside the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and checked in on how we were doing regularly. We ordered the Tot-chos (half order to share among six people) and I also got a huckleberry soda for myself as well as the bison (classic) burger with sweet potato fries. For dessert, we shared two scoops of huckleberry ice cream (from Sweet Peaks), the bread pudding and the beignets. I loved the Tot-chos, and the half order was honestly a pretty big size already! The huckleberry soda was pretty sweet (I think it had 41 grams of sugar), but I don't regret trying it. The bison burger wasn't bad, it definitely tasted similar to beef, but it was a huge burger so I couldn't finish it. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. In terms of the dessert, I had gone to Sweet Peaks already and liked their huckleberry flavor a lot, so I was excited to see them on the menu. People at my table loved the bread pudding. I thought the beignets were not bad, but they weren't as good as the other desserts.

Overall, this place was a mix of really impressive food and a few frustrating misses. Ratings * Food: 4.2/5 * Service: 4.5/5 * Atmosphere: 3/5 * Value: 3.5/5 * Overall: 4/5 The Bad First: Chips & Salsa I have to start here because it honestly bothered me. You simply do not charge for chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. I don't care how modern eclectic and edgy you think you are. Chips and salsa are basically humanity's welcome gift from Latino culture. Charging $6.50 for them immediately sets expectations high -- and unfortunately, this was the weakest part of the entire meal. Both the regular salsa and the tomatillo salsa were muddy-looking and lacked freshness or brightness. The dominant flavor was artificial smoke. No heat, no freshness, no punch. Honestly, even if they had been complimentary, I still would've thought they missed the mark. Please -- forget the pineapple infusions and overthought concepts. Just make a fresh pico de gallo, a great roasted salsa, and a genuinely good hot sauce. Make THAT your signature and your gift to Whitefish. The Good Stuff Now the good news: the actual entrées were excellent. The Chile Relleno was fantastic -- honestly one of the best I've had anywhere. Perfect texture, rich flavor, and clearly made with care. The tacos were also exceptional. I believe the beef taco was the barbacoa, and it absolutely stood out. I was dining with my parents, both in their 70s, and every entrée at the table was a hit. Service Our waiter Jake was excellent. He was juggling several tables at once but stayed attentive, friendly, and accommodating the entire evening. The hostess was also terrific -- greeted us warmly and seated us immediately. Most of the staff seemed genuinely kind and professional, although one bartender came across noticeably cold and uptight. No smile, very little interaction beyond taking orders and dropping off drinks. Atmosphere & Music I usually avoid reading reviews before posting my own, but afterward I noticed many people mentioned the music -- and I completely agree. It's not just that it's too loud. It's the wrong vibe entirely. The music selection feels more nightclub than relaxed cantina. Good restaurant music should create warmth and energy in the background, not dominate the room. The place itself is attractive and lively, and I was impressed by how busy it was for a Monday night. Bonus points for having hockey on during the playoffs. Final Thoughts This isn't traditional Mexican food, despite some of the branding language about authenticity and traditional ingredients. It feels more like someone's modern interpretation or fusion-inspired version of Mexico. That said -- the kitchen clearly knows how to cook. The entrées were genuinely impressive, and the service was very solid. Fix the salsa. Stop charging for it. Improve the music. Do those three things, and this place goes from "good" to "destination-level." I'll absolutely give it another try this summer. And yes, my mother was Mexican. I grew up on this stuff and have traveled the world having various Mexican concepts.
