Ah yes, the Ole Bulldog Saloon... The magical place where anyone/everyone can mingle, coexist, and drink a cold MT craft beer. No stop to WF is complete without a stopping into "The Dawg" for huckleberry wings, burger and fries, and MT proper beers... Always good, always reliable, and always a great time after being on the mountain all day. PS - If you're easily offended (or an easily triggered lib) avoid the restrooms.

Great burger, quick service. The whiteboard behind the counter said wait time was 35 minutes Cool decorations in the bar, but be careful bringing children into the bathrooms.

Awesome spot with great burgers and a lot of history! The food is good - typical burgers and fries (with the cheese curds and huckleberry sauce being my favorite) but what made this a 5 star review was the incredibly friendly staff and historic vibes you can feel as you walk into the restaurant. With pictures and pennants covering the walls and ceilings dating back to the early 1900's this is definitely a cool spot to stop in for a drink or bite.

Outstanding huckleberry bbq wings. Cool atmosphere with bar, food and people. One of the best wings I've eaten.

Wellllp this is the best place in town hands down. GREAT bar food. Casino games. And friendly service. College flags on the roof from all over the US. Great ambiance. Come here for a good time and a long time. Burgers, huckleberry wings and chicken sandos are amazing. Onion rings and sour cream and chive fries are standouts.

The biggest mistake we made on our trip to Kalispell was wandering into this restaurant. We were hungry for lunch and noticed a lot of people filing in so we thought we'd check it out. The environment is loud. Both in noise and decor. It was a Sunday, so there was quite the crowd inside watching football, but I have a feeling it's always a louder environment regardless. There is a sign on the bathroom door warning you of where to take your children, so they don't witness the adult X rated content plastered around the stalls and in the men's restroom. Totally fine for some, just not the vibe for us. The food was way too expensive for what it was worth. It was your basic, fried, tasteless bar food. Nothing impressive but not disgusting either. We just left disappointed and desperately wishing we had spent the money and our time eating elsewhere.

Food--2out of 10 stars ( don't waste your calories on anything but a hamburger) Service --food service 6 out of 10( bar service a 9 out of 10 Ambience- absolutely ideal for NFL or other sporting events. Great bar not for food though. Nice chill place to burn time on beverages, don't waste your calories on food

Saw the Huckleberry wings on the menu outside and decided to stop in to try them. We had some kids with us and saw what we thought were arcade games in the back, but were surprised to see casino games. They are kid friendly enough, and give fair warnings where it may not be. Great sports bar vibe with all of the pennants on the ceiling and other memorabilia. Good beer menu and full bar. Solid food menu as well. The huckleberry wings were pretty good, though could have used more sauce and they were a bit overcooked. Nice and crispy though. The Chicken ortega sandwich we got also was dry and overcooked, but really good flavor. Cheese curds were an absolute hit with the kids. Overall a pretty solid sports bar, I'd come back for sure but probably stick with normal wings and burgers.

The star here was the food. We ordered the tacos and fish and chips. The tacos are double walled - crunchy shell inside wrapped in a wheat tortilla. Crunchy seasoned batter and large pieces of cod. No kidding - we had to go 500 miles from Puget Sound to get the best fish and chips this side of Little Chinooks at Fisherman's Terminal! Need to say that the drinks we ample and balanced. We ordered the Huckleberry Mojito and the Bloody and could not have been more pleased! We started with a clearly number 1 cocktail served in a beehive glass--cool looking and a perfectly balanced/composed cocktail . We also had the seasonal shrub which was watermelon jalepeno and again delicious--not overly sweet with a nice kick. I did get to choose the heat level, and it didn't disappoint. For food , we started with chickpea fritters with a tamarind chutney. The presentation and taste were flavorful and creative. For our main, we both had the tempura golden enoki. I don't often eat vegetarian dishes out but glad not to miss this outstanding creation with a sticky rice waffle base, baby bok choi, black garlic XO tempura enoki and a green curry sauce . Certainly the best meal I have had this year and quite surprised to find it in Whitefish MT. Props to the chef !!!

We started off with the Alaskan Halibut Corndog, its more of a cooked more inside, and I kid you not I wish I ordered another of these it was so good! We also had the  Bunuelo which is shaped to mimic a pretzel that was filled with a glorious goat cheese mousse and kraut powder and a little jalapeno relish I have never in my life tasted anything like it, it was sensational. If you see this on the menu immediately order it. Next up was the Dungeness Crab Cake there is something to be said about a beautiful rendition of this dish with its flaky generous portions of crab, thoroughly enjoyed. The Grilled Korean Short Rib was an absolute favorite of mine as well, there is no way you cold get enough of it. For the mains we had the Pan Seared Duck Breast 4/5 came with the most beautiful cherry mole and corn succotash that was just exception, the balance on this speaks to the chefs talent. Now the issue here was actually the duck, one side of the breast just seemed very over and chewy while the other was perfect which is a shame but I am glad to have tried it. My kid thoroughly enjoyed Lamb Ragu with gnocchi and I honestly couldn't agree more and how well made the gnocchi was, pillow soft and utterly flavorful. But the real star of the night was Wagyu with tallow fried tater tot, chimichurri and brown butter carrots I would say though this dish commands a price, it was absolutely worth it, done exactly as ordered and every bite of each component was heavenly. For dessert we had the Cornbread dessert with miso caramel and burnt honey ice cream and it blew my mind, I am not a honey person but there's also a sense of trust you gain while eating that the kitchen knows best so dive in head first and it didn't disappoint we also had the Evening in Missoula Panna Cotta with rhubarb, orange blossom meringue and coconut boba the burst of flavors I kept getting and the delightful panna cotta was superb. Both the desserts were comped by the restaurant since even though we had a reservation we waited far too long of a time, it was close to 45min before we were seated because the previous customer had paid but were holding the table up. To me that's not something I can shrug off, I understand that they were full but 20min max I can excuse more than double is a hard swallow regardless of how great are host eventually was (Hi Dennis, you were awesome thank you!) and I appreciate the free deserts but overbooking might have been your issue here.
