We were wandering around Montana post a long hike! hungry, lost, and spiritually broken, when suddenly we stumbled upon Tex & Jerrys. Little did we know, we had just discovered the sandwich promised land. The moment we walked in, Melody greeted us with such radiant kindness that I briefly checked to make sure she wasn't secretly an angel in disguise. She welcomed us not like customers, but like family......you know, if family actually liked you. For one reckless moment, I almost proposed marriage to her, but didn't wanna be that guy. Now, the food? Holy sandwich gods. The Reuben, the Gyro, the Italian, each one so good it made me question every life choice that led me to eating literally anywhere else. The salads? Shockingly delicious. And the hot sauce? The hot sauce deserves its own holy scripture. One drop and I was sweating, crying, and maybe seeing into alternate timelines. It burned, it healed, it baptized me. My tears weren't just from spice, they were tears of gratitude, of love, of a man reborn in sandwich fire. I heard they also host live music, though I didn't get to see it. And honestly, I'm relieved, because if the bands are even half as good as the sandwiches, my fragile heart wouldn't have survived the day. Leaving was the hardest part. In fact, I was ready to build a log cabin next door and devote my life to becoming Tex & Jerrys most loyal disciple. Unfortunately, I remembered I have a blind dog waiting at home, so priorities. But I'll be back. Oh, and did I mention Melody? Because she deserves her own standing ovation.

Stopped in for a couple of sandwiches. The food was very good and so was the service. Looks like a great place just to hang.

Not fancy, but really good food at reasonable prices. Best burger I've had in a while. Great onion…read morerings. Kind of a mix between self service and a restaurant. Superb deserts. Huckleberry desserts better prices than most places. This is not a 5 star restaurant, but they deserve five stars for doing what they do very well

Service was good, a bit slow due to the amount of people, but still decent. They ranned out of the pie 2 hours before the shop closed which sucks, but i got to try the other stuff. 3.2/5 - Huckleberry ice cream - Expected to be sweeter. Everyone was getting it so i hopped on the train. Single scoop already was huge so no complaints there. The taste though was only a little sweet and very tangy. I wished something more special came out of it, but just tasted like a sweeter but very tangy ice cream. Similar to a blue berry. 3.0/5 - Avalanche Puff - Flakey outside with a huge glob of jam in the middle. Some powder sugar on the puff pastry. Overall just lacking in flavor. Definitely looks the part, but it not being hot and so its not crispy as well just makes it very plain. Huckleberry flavor is there slightly sweet and tangy. 3.5/5 - Turnover - This was the best thing i've had, again it was decent. Feels like a meat pie kind of but instead of meat you got huckleberry jam. Decent, but i just wished for a stronger or more appearant sweetness coming from these desserts. Wished it was hot also, but all desserts were served cold. Overall it did not live up to the hype. Sadly i didn't get the try the pie which was the main reason. Everything else seems just dissappointing. Great gift shop and tourist spot to grab local huckleberry goodies.

Chef Ante was doing a soft open and it was just the local's and him and Tina running the front of house. This cute little house turned into a homestyle restaurant is AMAZING. Now if you think I"m just exaggerating, read any of my other reviews or know I'm a snob. Or even better come check it out for your self. How welcoming they were it felt like going to a loved families house and sitting down together for a home made meal. Because that is what it was. Food, I mean, come on! The lamb chops seasoned and cooked to perfect, nice char on the outside with a lite pink on the inside. The Ragu on home made tagliatelle was so beautiful, not to rich like some other you night have had, but able to taste all the flavor in the dish. A special if you can get it they were trying out here was the Chewapchichi (Cevapi), a form of Kofta / Meatball made in Chef Anton's Croatian style. That is not the Meatball that is on the menu in a soft tomato sauce!!! Basically we started with the Shrimp Tostada app and the Clams & Chroizo and just decided to ask for the whole menu for the family. I could go on, but just come see for yourself and enjoy for sure.

Honestly, seeing that it was never not busy says a lot about how well this place is doing! We tried the burrito and the Shifty, and the Shifty was easily my favorite. It was so different and absolutely amazing! We also tried the honey spice cake, morning bun, and overnight oats, and everything was delicious. I especially loved that they had several GF/DF options, which can be surprisingly hard to find. It made it so much easier to actually enjoy a full breakfast without having to settle for one option. Great coffee, great food, fun atmosphere, and clearly a local favorite. Definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area!

Their menu is particularly perfect for my kind of appetite, I had 2 bowls of their oatmeal (overnight oats) with house fruits (berries) with a vanilla frappe.. All were devoured in seconds.. It's the coffee that sticks out!! I went for the simple coffee, was not disappointed.. Even took a to go cup with me, always look forward to my next visit here..
