Late night food available and delicious! We were hungry in town and having a hard time finding food available after 9:30 pm- luckily a passerby pointed us in this direction and it worked out great! Plentiful draft beers options at a reasonable price ($7.50), delicious burgers that came with crunchy shoestring fries ($16), and I added a side of their huckleberry BBQ as a dipping sauce (.50) It was all great and our server Andrew took good care of us. The dining room was spacious, clean, and has a bunch of TVs to keep us entertained. I do wish they would offer stickers as a souvenir but that would by my only suggestion If you're hungry and in the area, I'd highly recommend giving Craggy Range (names after a nearby mountain range) a try! We had lunch at the Craggy Range Bar and Grill and could not have been more pleased. Typical mountain town rustic decor which was to be expected on the main drag in Whitefish. The star here was the food. We ordered the tacos and fish and chips. The tacos are double walled - crunchy shell inside wrapped in a wheat tortilla. We chose the blackened cod and braised pulled pork. Both were generously portioned and quite flavorful. We also ordered the fish and chips and this was the real surprise. Crunchy seasoned batter and large pieces of cod. No kidding - we had to go 500 miles from Puget Sound to get the best fish and chips this side of Little Chinooks at Fisherman's Terminal! Need to say that the drinks we ample and balanced. We ordered the Huckleberry Mojito and the Bloody and could not have been more pleased! The Craggy Range was recommended to us by locals that we met on the Amtrak train. We found the bison burger to be juicy, messy and flavorful. The shoestring fries were hot and crispy. We Loved It. We washed it down with their Jeremiah Johnson Beer. The bartender was very nice, service was excellent. All the food here was delicious. We went 3 times because they were super fast, inexpensive and good quality.

Was in town for a function on a Saturday and stopped here for some apps and beers around the lunch hour. There was college football on the TVs at the time so that was a plus. Waiter was friendly and VERY articulate with the menu items. Had a draft Coors Light (was correct temperature) and the steak bites and nachos with chicken. The steak bites were a chefs kiss - perfectly cooked, tender, seasoned, very good. The nachos was a massive plate with tons of toppings and also very good (the burnt chips were the best ones). Running joke at the table was we wouldn't need to use the restroom for a week because we'd be clogged up from all the cheese - pretty funny. However, during all of this, I kept trying to watch one of the games on the TV and it was a couple feet above a gal's head at a neighboring table. Every time I looked at the TV she would glare at me. A fun sports bar located on the cute streets of Whitefish! The old fashioneds were very good & love when it's served in a different way as shown in the photo. Our waitress was lovely, and the food was good. My favorite was the steak bites with blue cheese salad -- the blue cheese they use is great & creamy so it's not as strong as harder crumbles. Unacceptable behavior! I sit down, have to ask for a drink. The guys next to me get menus, drinks, whatever they want. I asked for a water twice. Nope. There is a big outdoor space with live music at night. Our waitress was attentive with checking in and refilling drinks. We got the Brussel sprouts for an appetizer and the Brussel sprouts could have been cooked a little more and had a bit more of the sauce used. The burger was a good size but a little too much bacon for me. I appreciated that they had a gluten free bun. The honey chipotle dressing was a little light on flavor. Ugh!!! I really wanted to rate this place higher, I really did. But when you compare it to everything else in town it just doesn't quite measure up. It's not that it's bad, it's just that there are so many shortcuts taken that maybe shouldn't be. We loved the ice rail on the bar that was super cool. This weekend (Sept 14-16) is the 3rd annual Whitefish Songwriter Festival. Hit songwriters from Nashville and local stars are performing in theaters, restaurants, coffee shops and bars of downtown Whitefish. That explains why I've seen so many people around town with guitar cases and maybe why some of these venues are packed with so many people. We saw the line of people waiting for a table at Craggy Range and thought maybe we'd have a long wait. We were seated right away. I then proceeded to have my most enjoyable meal all weekend. Craggy Range is a sports bar so the menu is what you'd expect. We split an order of Brussels sprouts and I selected the Bison patty melt. My companion picked the Bison chili. The Brussels sprouts were topped with lots of crispy bacon and cheese and were nicely roasted. My Bison patty melt was topped with creamy cheese and carmelized onion jam and served on sourdough that was perfectly toasted. The tater tots were warm and crisp and lightly salted. My only complaint about my meal was that I couldn't finish it. Really, I had a good time and I was happy with my meal. My companion finished every bit of their bison chili too. read more

Waitress was nice, but I'd never recommend eating here. I ordered wings that were supposed to be Bone-In and they brought me processed chicken nuggets with dry buffalo sauce on them. They did take them off our bill, but the explanation baffled me. They said the kitchen must have run out so substituted the regular wings with chicken pieces. That is something that should have been communicated so I could have changed my order. Beer was good and cold. Burgers were passable but not great. read more

Today I met a friend for lunch at Craggy so we could watch Olympic opening ceremony. Tje staff went above and beyond to get it on a TV near our table.
