Big Mud Burger with Chili Cheese Fries
    Ari K.

A cool spot that the locals enjoy, and I can see why. The burgers are loaded up with bacon, secret sauce and chili. They and big and messy, but worth it. The chili is really well done and is awesome just on its own. The burger was tasty, but nothing spectacular. The homemade buns stole the show. It's one of the best burger buns I've ever had and elevates the entire sandwich.

Mudman Burgers in Whitefish is a local burger joint serving delicious handmade fresh grilled burgers and fresh hand cut fries. The burgers come with lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, and mud (chili). Despite being, so complex the burger tasted fantastic, (especially the depth the chili added to the overall burger experience), and it was not super heavy. The guys behind the counter are so awesome. They are super friendly and personable. The restaurant is super chill and laidback. I would definitely return the next time I am in Whitefish.

This is a must try! The cozy house turned restaurant provided a homey and casual atmosphere. As soon as we entered we were genuinely greeted by the team. Their Mudman burger was flavorful~ filled with their mudman chili, bacon lettuce tomato onion and their special sauce. It was very filling. The chili fries were yummy. And don't forget to order their Huckleberry Shake. (I remember when we were in Yellowstone how Huckleberry was prominent.) I enjoy Mudman's Huckleberry Shake since it had real huckleberries. For me~ I greatly enjoyed the media screens highlighting their mission trips. Their logo reads~ buy local serve global. Support this business and their missions.

My boyfriend and I were in the park all day a couple weeks ago riding bikes and really worked up an appetite! He recommended Mud Man, I was so down for a burger Mud Man's unique flavor and fun retro atmosphere is incredible! The service was great and the chili fries and milkshakes are a must!!! They make their own root beer in house and have it on tap too! They are not open Sundays. We tried to go again this past Sunday and we were so sad I can't wait to go back!!

Mudman was recommended by a local as having one of the best burgers in town - he was right! Come hungry, we got the smaller burger and it was plenty. Best burgers & the French fries were to die for. The service was above and beyond and can tell the owner takes great pride in this place. Located in a 100 yr old house, it makes for the perfect spot. Can't wait to come back for breakfast!

I'm amazed as I drive across the country to see that everywhere I go, there is always a bunch of places claiming to have the world's best hamburgers. We know they can't all be the best, but I like to see what makes each one think that way. When I stopped in to have a burger at Mudman Burgers I saw the signs and was, of course, skeptical. I must say after eating here that they have something great going on. Burgers can be typical but not here. Juicy, cheesy, with chili("mud") on them, they take things up a notch or two. Very nicely done but oh what a mess to eat! Good fries on the side, and a worthwhile charity they donate to makes this a great place to get a burger. Well worth stopping in.

The burgers here are HUGE! Especially the Big Mud which features a double patty. You can definitely tell things are made in house and to order. Everything is fresh and extremely filling. The huckleberry shake is worth trying, and the mud (chili) also makes the dishes unique. One minor quirk was that I did find everything to be a bit on the saltier side, from the patty to the chili to the bacon. Not too much of an issue but definitely noticeable when I was enjoying the food.

We were seated within five minutes in a room with a view of the street. It was raining outside, and it felt nice and cozy inside the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and checked in on how we were doing regularly. We ordered the Tot-chos (half order to share among six people) and I also got a huckleberry soda for myself as well as the bison (classic) burger with sweet potato fries. For dessert, we shared two scoops of huckleberry ice cream (from Sweet Peaks), the bread pudding and the beignets. I loved the Tot-chos, and the half order was honestly a pretty big size already! The huckleberry soda was pretty sweet (I think it had 41 grams of sugar), but I don't regret trying it. The bison burger wasn't bad, it definitely tasted similar to beef, but it was a huge burger so I couldn't finish it. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. In terms of the dessert, I had gone to Sweet Peaks already and liked their huckleberry flavor a lot, so I was excited to see them on the menu. People at my table loved the bread pudding. I thought the beignets were not bad, but they weren't as good as the other desserts.
