Excellent bakery/cafe! My friend has been in several times and was excited to share this place with me. We came in for lunch just before closing and it was still pretty busy so I can see how popular it is with both locals and travelers. We came for food, but all the pastries looked amazing too. I got the black and blue sandwich with the lemon miso home fries, it was excellent! The flavors were balanced and really tied together nicely. Those home fries were some of the best potatoes I've ever had, I highly recommend them. We had such a great experience at Uptown Hearth during our vacation to Glacier National Park. We ordered a morning bun, basic breakfast, and Beef and Blue sandwich, which were all delicious. The home fries were also worth mentioning because they had the perfect level of crispiness and seasoning, and the Costa Rican coffee and matcha iced tea were also excellent. But what truly stood out was the hospitality of the staff. When we mentioned we were planning to grill steaks at our cabin but didn't have any seasoning, the staff went out of their way to pack us salt and pepper in small containers to go. It's those small, thoughtful gestures which transform a great meal into a memorable vacation experience. Thanks again to the amazing staff at Uptown Hearth for the awesome food and exceptional service. Get there early! Holy cow this place gets busy for such a small town! Food was good, prices were ok and service was decent. You have to walk up to the counter to order and they bring your food and drink to you. Our food was fine by the time our lattes came out, so that was a bummer, but not a deal breaker - like I said they were busy. I have a service dog. I asked after I had ordered my latte and croissant if I could get a small pup cup. "No." Okayyyy. Other than the rude dude taking orders, the vanilla latte was pretty and very tasty. The croissant with ham and cheese was also delicious and the croissant was flaky and big. We are so happy that the bakery is open again! The food is as tasty as ever, I got the classic breakfast sandie and a cortado + a pour over later. My mom reports that the brown rice and kale bowl was outstanding as well. The new cafe is beautiful and spacious, playing good music at a nice volume, and was a wonderful atmosphere to eat breakfast. After breakfast we decided to check out their new coworking space upstairs. It was a little confusing to figure out the booking system as you have to book through their website but we ended up getting the punch pass for 5 visits (we're locals). Once you activate a pass you can head to the two floors of working space. We chose just the open floor but there are options for a private office or designated desks with 24hr access. The space is super clean and quiet (no music is playing upstairs) and very aesthetic! We had to go back downstairs and ask the staff to get the wifi log in info but once we were in the connection was fast and reliable (zoom calls, video streaming, etc all worked). There are many different desks to choose from, including many convertible standing desks, beautiful wood table, and couches/chairs with side tables. There are convenient outlets all over the place as well as 3 small private phone booths you can reserve for free. There is also a kitchenette on each floor with a full sized fridge, microwave, and sink. I brought up my coffee and second half of my sandie from breakfast and heated it up later for a mid-afternoon snack which I thought was a nice touch. There are clean, single-stall, all-gender bathrooms on each floor. There are also small balconies that will be nice in the summer to step outside! With two floors the space is large so while there were a couple other people co-working at the same time we barely saw them which was nice for concentrating. The beautiful large windows let in a nice amount of natural light and overlook the main street Nucleus. I wish there had been a little more instruction on how to book the space (maybe cards on the cafe tables advertising the space and explaining how to book?) but once we got up here I was amazingly productive and I will be back to work here more. read more

We travel full time around the US, and when our campground near Glacier had too many trees for our Starlink, I found Uptown Hearth and worked out of their coworking space. Although I had some issues getting the right space reserved, the owner reached out to me and was so nice and helpful! The coworking space is fantastic - modern, well set up, and the wifi was blazing fast, which was just what I needed. Bathrooms are clean, there is a fridge/microwave, and pretty much everything you would expect from an office environment. But the real stuff, the real perfect thing about this place, is that they have delicious coffee, breakfasts, and tons of pastries (not to mention the tastiest bacon). They have indoor and outdoor seating in the bakery/cafe area, quick service, and everyone here has been just as nice and helpful as the owner. Will definitely keep this place on my list for the next time we come through town. read more

Modern looking neat coffee-vibe place in Columbia Falls. I ordered a sandwich; house-made biscuit, bacon, egg and cheese served with mixed greens. Outstanding biscuit, but an oddity when ordering. My partner just wanted a bacon or sausage biscuit. Simple. Couldn't be fulfilled. Instead a suggestion was made to buy a package of two day-old biscuits. This just seemed odd. She opted for a cinnamon croissant type danish. Was very good, as was my sandwich and coffee. The biscuits here are really good, paired with thick cut bacon, cheese and egg, a filling breakfast. Very nice atmosphere and quality, extremely clean facility. Columbia Falls has a nice mix of old small town with new injections of modern looking places to live, eat and drink.
