This is a little interesting little (not really little) local coffee shop. Love the space, food and coffee each of the three or four times I came here within a week. Syrups are made in house....lemon vanilla hands down my favorite but then sadly it wasn't available anytime after the first time I tried it. Honey Cinnamon was second fave then sticky toffee was third, barely tasted it. I wish they would list the syrup flavors on the menu on the wall along with food because the menus are halfway through the line (there's always a line) or at the cash register. I'm just an efficiency kind of gal, that's all. I'm still trying to figure out the family situation who owns the place (I'm just a curious bird no pun intended), it was an interesting dynamic with some seeming to hustle each time while others chatting with friends during a rush. I had the avocado toast for lunch one day and it was priced low, $7, and enough to fill me up mid day. We were looking for a coffee shop before we flew out and I'm so glad it was The Bird & Billy. Actually, the review that said that the sticky toffee latte was life changing was what really convinced me, so shout out to that Yelper, lol. It was a Tuesday morning, but the place was packed. Parking was a bit tougher than other neighboring towns, but we luckily snagged a street spot when someone pulled out. The ambiance of the shop is so cute and relaxing, especially during the holidays. It's the quintessential coffee shop vibe where you can catch up with a friend, read a book, or do some work. And there are spaces/seats for each persona in here. We first just ordered the sticky toffee latte (less sweet), but it was so good that we ordered the peppermint mocha quickly after. Most times, I am often disappointed by flavored lattes that are overly sweet and lose the coffee flavor, but not here. Not only did their flavors taste unique, but they were the perfect balance of coffee and flavor. They take their time pulling the shots so that the espresso itself is well done. They were seriously memorable. I'm sad we live out of state, but if I'm ever back in Kalispell, I would definitely come back here (like every day, lol). read more

Thomas and his siblings have newly opened The Bird & Billy cafe/bakery in the historic brick building at the corner of 2nd & Main Street. They sell both their amazing sourdough bread, scones, and other baked goods, but also various coffee varieties and an inviting cafe experience. The whole family is friendly and the siblings all work for the business. We buy at least 2 loaves per week and we hope his business succeeds so we can continue to enjoy his breads for years to come! read more
