We were looking for a coffee shop to do some remote work/planning together and stumbled upon Ceres! It was recommended by a few of my family members as well, so we thought we'd give it a try! When you walk in, fresh smells waft over you and it makes your tummy rumble (at least it did mine). All their baked goods are very fresh and look delicious! My only qualms are with the coffee and atmosphere. Either our coffees were burnt or we just don't like the roast (I got a caramel latte, she got a chai latte). We still drank them because they weren't absolutely disgusting, they just tasted off and not something you'd want to drink regularly. As for the atmosphere, the space was very cute and well laid out - there are plants and paintings throughout to bring color and joy. However, Carolers came in for about 15 minutes.. with brass instruments! I understand "tis the season" and I love the Christmas spirit, but I also don't want a trombone blasting music 10 feet from my table on a lazy Sunday morning... a little disappointed Ceres allowed them to do this, but I also don't want to be a Scrooge... If you want a good cinnamon roll or breakfast sandwich I think this is the spot! But maybe temper expectations for coffee? Might just be me, but also worth a visit if you want. F**K Starbucks and support LOCAL! This charming local bakery on Main Street Kalispell is a perfect spot for light breakfast and coffee, or just a Swedish sytle "Fika" coffee break. I grabbed a mushroom tart and biscuit egg sandwich for breakfast, both were fresh, warm, tasty and perfect for quick breakfast. The ambience inside is clean, modern, warm, and welcoming. I LOVE Ceres Bakery! It is a darling local bakery in Kalispell with absolutely DELICIOUS baked goods and incredibly kind employees. The orange bun and the cream cheese & fruit danish are some of the BEST pastries I have ever had. The raspberry white chocolate scone is superb. And their turkey, cheese, and pesto sandwich is fantastic. It has plenty of turkey, not too much pesto, fabulous bread, and the flavor is great. The cappuccinos and cookies are also yummy. I really like the chocolate and cherry cookie. There is much more for me to try, but I want to continue buying my favorites because they are AMAZING! I highly recommend Ceres Bakery! read more

Coffee was pretty good here but the real star was the Orange Roll. Morning bun style, it's made from croissant bread. We had a few other pastries that were pretty good. Biscuit sandwich was 10/10, so tasty. The space is yellow, bright and loud. Would be great for them to put up some kind of sound panels or something. Booths are rigid. First off we came to Kallispell area because my friends and I went to Glacier National park and this place did not disappoint. We went to Ceres Bakery right before we boarded our flight back home to San Diego and we were so happy we did. At first it was hard to find because on our Iphone Map it says it is beside a brewery but little did we know it is actually three or four stores down. If your right arm is facing the brewery you cross the street on the same side and its down there where there is a blue store with a couple of chairs out in front. I ordered a spicy chai latte which was super nice and spicy which I love some places they do not make it to spicy but this one did which was amazing. I also ordered their Tomato pesto mozzarella Danish and man it was so good make sure you ask them to warm it up for you!. My husband ordered their Banh Mi Sandwich and it didn't disappoint All in all I would definitely come and recommend this place for a quick breakfast they do not serve a full breakfast just Bakery Items but still a good place to relax and grab a quick bite to eat. read more

(low key plug @mckennapayphoto / wedding photographer) But 100% would recommend this place for any cute meetings, quick bites with friends, or just a new spot to do some work! The cutest little bakery! We went early in the morning to make sure we snagged a fresh loaf of sourdough. I'm normally not a huge fan of sourdough bread, but man, was this bread a game-changer for me! This bread literally made my extremely boring sandwich of turkey, cheese, and tomato a supernova. It transformed my plain jane sandwich into one of the best I've ever had! Thank you, sourdough bread. The pastry items were also super delicious. I got a berry & cheese danish, which was delightful. This bakery is everything. And in all places it's in Kalispell MT. True croissants to die for and the danishes are amazing. The laminate dough is spot on! Good job for doing the hard work and giving quality products. I love this bakery so much. You can't go wrong with anything from here. I've been coming to Kalispell for the past five or six years but incredibly I have not noticed this place before. It is an extremely cute coffee and bakery store. They have wonderful seating area that is perfect with the morning sun shining in. Highly recommend the huckleberry bun! Service was kind of nonexistent on a Monday morning right after opening. Not as friendly as the other local spots I encountered. Stopped by a few days later and the service was more cheerful and helpful. The cardamom knot was okay-- not as good as the huckleberry bun. The fiesta roll was also quite good. What a perfect little gem! The almond croissants are deliciously flakey with creamy almond butter in every bite! The strawberry crostata with fresh sweet strawberries on top hugged by crispy golden goodness is to die for! Absolutely a must to try. Do expect long lines, however. My reason for 4 stars instead of five is that both times I stopped in, only one person was slowly serving customers waiting in that long line while another just stood by watching. They gave me the wrong item. And while the locals seemed to enjoy the coffee, I was not a fan. Otherwise, two thumbs up for their baked goods! I visited Ceres for the first time today and purchased a perfect looking chocolate croissant. After taking it home and gently heating it in the microwave, I enjoyed arguably the best croissant I've ever had. The flaky exterior revealed light tasty layers inside, and the chocolate was dark and smooth. What a wonderful French bakery right here in Kalispell!! read more

Wow, this place is a gem. We were in town and in search of delicious baked goods. The morning bun and the huckleberry bun were absolute show stoppers, best we've ever had. Grabbed a loaf of sourdough to gift to a friend, they loved it. Enjoyed the huckleberry pastry(YUM!), berry cheese danish(YUM!), savory scone(good), and better than blueberry muffin(good). My husband and I stopped here while on our way out of Kalispell, and driving to Spokane. We had originally been in pursuit of donuts, but we weren't interested in Krispy Kremes. We ended up stopping by this place, and I'm so glad we did! The staff was super friendly, and the selection of pastries and baked goods made for a hard decision because I wanted everything! I ended up getting a Huckleberry frosted sticky thing that resembled a muffin, but the muffin part itself was more like a croissant. It was mouthwatering!! I also ordered a Blueberry Scone and a Latte, both were excellent. My husband ordered A Cinnabon Role and a Salted Carmel Brownie, and was just as blown away as I was. Our only regret is that we live in Indiana and don't have regular access to this fabulous place!!! read more

This an amazing place! I have lived in the valley for about eight years now and have always heard amazing things regarding this bakery yet have never tried it. When I finally did I was pleasantly surprised! Finding delicious baked goods in the middle of Montana is not an easy task. After trying almost every local coffee shop and cafe in the area, no place compares to the ambiance and price. I ordered a 16 oz matcha late and a scone which totaled $6.90 which is about a dollar more than just a 16oz late at Starbucks. While the late may have been a little over sweetened for my taste, I would be interested to see what they use to sweeten it and if there are other options available. That being said, it was certainly better than so many other local, and chain cafes in Kalispell. The scone on the other hand was perfect, and with the large selection of scones and other baked goods I am excited to try them all! The service was excellent as well. They did not seem over, or understaffed and my order was completed very very quickly. Over all a wonderful experience and will certainly be back especially with the addition of a seating area where some work can be done! read more
