Great breakfast spot in whitefish! They have an extensive menu and although I wasn't feeling too hungry, they were happy to make a side eggs and sourdough for me that were perfectly prepared. They seem to be known for their pie and although I didn't try it, it looked very tempting. It would be nice if they had higher quality jam without high fructose corn syrup. Otherwise, service and food were great. read more

Loula's was recommended by both Yelp and our Airbnb host, and it lived up to the hype. The restaurant has a great setting and was busy on a Sunday morning. Even with the crowd, the food was every bit as good as promised. Definitely worth a stop for breakfast or brunch in Whitefish. read more

One of the best breakfast places I've had in a LONG time! Menu has variety but isn't too big. I went with an omelet with hashbrowns and sour dough toast and it was enough for two meals. Apparently they're known for their pies and while they looked delicious, sadly wasn't in the market for one. read more

Loulas's cafe is a one of a kind establishment . All the way from the art on the wall, to the food, to the customer service Loula's cafe screams soul! If you want to experience whitefish come enjoy a breakfast here. You will see locals and tourists. For my order I went with my usual. Eggs Benedict with hash-brows the first visit and the next day the same order, but with house potatoes. My order was well portioned and as eggspected delicious. Our waitress that took our order also added to the eggsperience by providing us with eggcellent customer service. They are known for pies so of course we had to take one for the road. Excellent place to have breakfast! read more

Lovely place, great service! Our group of 3 waited about 10-15 minutes for a table. Since there was street parking right outside, we walked around a bit while we waited. Our server was friendly and straight to the point. We were on our way to Washington, so her recommendations helped us on decision time. The food was solid breakfast/diner food, and the prices were very reasonable. We originally came for the pies and pastries but after filling up on breakfast, we took them to go. Overall, a nice spot, and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a good bite to eat. read more

The absolute BEST! I rarely get breakfast at a restaurant that is just the way I like it. I sure did at Loula's! First of all, the oat milk mocha latte was superb. Just sweet enough. The coffee was smooth and flavorful. Perfect balance of sweet and bitter. Flawless. I ordered eggs and bacon for the proteins. Eggs ordered yolks broken over hard. This is usually NOT done well. These were perfect! I mean PERFECT! Not possible to improve on this perfection. I am a very good cook but these were as good as I make them at home. The bacon was well cooked, not underdone as I often find at restaurants. I ordered the huckleberry peach pie. Wow! Pie nirvana! Perfect crust, thin and flaky with a small bit of sugary crunch to the top crust. Filling was small chunks or slices of peach and whole huckleberries. Masterful balance of berries, peaches, sugar and crust. I can't even imagine how this could be better! Chef's kiss! My husband's omelette was perfection. Our friends also loved their food and coffee, including the huckleberry coffee cake. If you order your bacon extra crispy, that's how it arrives. Lovely! We are visiting, but if I lived here I would eat here as often as possible! read more

Went on a weekend close to when they opened and was sat immediately. Street parking right outside. Food: 4/5: Nice woman came over offered us coffee right away, and had no issues with my annoying half-caffeinated request (pregnant). Coffee was good! Food was good too! I got a Stumptown Omelette, my husband got a burrito. Hash browns with it were very plain. We missed out on the pies but I hear they're great. Service 3/5: The older woman serving us was not in a great mood which was evident because she gave a younger guy working an attitude about the location of something in the cafe right in front of us. She put in my husband's order completely wrong (egg Benedict instead of a burrito) , and originally our food came out together but we had to wait for his to be cooked which we don't care but having a toddler there always makes every second feel much longer, but it was SO fast to come out. Also they gave us an orange juice instead of the apple juice we requested. We lived with it, my toddler doesnt have meltdowns over that yet. Ambiance: simple cafe. Don't think it's handicap accessible. There are stairs to get down when you walk in the door. We left our stroller in the car. Overall we heard such amazing great things but it was relatively average for our experience! Maybe just the Sunday rainy morning we went. But for a $50-60 breakfast for 2.5 people we will not return during our trip. read more

Do not miss the key lime pie with huckleberry drizzle, or any pie here with huckleberries. Pies at Loula's Cafe are excellent, and if you have a specific one you want you should order it a day ahead by phone. I also enjoyed the food here, including the chicken Caesar wrap and the hashbrowns "smothered." If you're in Whitefish, a visit to Loula's Cafe is an absolute must. read more

Every town has their go-to breakfast spot and we found Whitefish's at Loula's. We've eat breakfast all over the country and a lot of places try to over do it. It's really simple with a straightforward menu and good quality food. I had my favorite breakfast which is eggs, sausage, and one pancake. My partner had the daily special, maple French toast and added ham. All the food was delicious, well prepared, and quick. Server was nice and accommodating with the ham substitute. We also got a piece of pie to go for later - one coconut cream and one huckleberry. Both pieces were huge and delicious. Highly recommend. You may think there's better place in town but you'd be wrong. read more

The food was mid. Wait was super long but we didn't mind waiting since we knew it was a hot spot. Safe to say we don't understand the hype. Service was good, our waitress was super sweet! We got the Ruben, a breakfast burrito, grilled cheese, the house salad and the lemon stuffed French toast (the only thing we liked) Also someone stole our table during the wait time, we walked in stating our name when we got the text our table was ready, the waitress said she just seated that name. Not their fault, but just a warning! They should probably check people's text notification to verify read more

Great establishment. Service and food was excellent. It is well known for the must have lemon filled french toast. The veggie benedict was delicious with a hint of truffle. Steak was standard, eggs over easy was good, but the hash browns were nice and crispy how I like them. It was busy on the weekend but wait was shorter than expected. Nice local art for sale on walls. Street parking. read more

We headed to Loula's the morning before our long drive south to Yellowstone - and are so glad we did! Located in a converted Masonic lodge, it was a cute, local spot. I had the biscuits and gravy - and my husband opted for the smothered hashbrowns. Both were delicious and pretty standard breakfast/diner fare! However, even for breakfast, we opted for one of their famous pies! Based on the day's options, we went for the huckleberry - mixed berry pie, warmed up and served ala mode. Neither me nor my husband are fruit pie people...but when in Rome, you have to try a local delicacy! And we actually both really enjoyed it! The crust was delicious and it was a packed pie, quite full - both of berries and flavor. read more

I was able to order a "all-huckleberry" pie to be made within around 24 hours to be ready 8am the next day. The pie was ready on the dot when I arrived I was given my pie. The cafe was bustling and looked vibrant. But I had to leave on my journey back to the Tri-Valley, CA. I took my pie and started my drive to Missoula to fly back home. I carried my pie carefully back home and reheated it. I first tried the pie on its own. The first things I noticed were that it tastes different than regular huckleberry products--specifically the pie having a deeper richness which I greatly enjoyed, and it also tasted distinctly different than the cheap huckleberry infused foods I had previously eaten: it made me wonder if they actually taste more like plums. Second, I liked that it was not having tons of sugar and it let the flavor of the huckleberry shine. The crust was also nice in its crisp yet still a little chew texture. The second time I ate it. I bought some 365 by Whole Foods Market, Vanilla Ice Cream. (Normally get Van Leeuwen French Vanilla Ice Cream, I might still get it. The Whole Foods one was the best eggless ice cream I could find.) I am not sure if the ice cream contrasted or complemented the pie, but whichever it is: it tasted great as a combo, and I'm certain French ice cream would taste even better with the pie. For a person who enjoys letting a fruit be the main feature and going out of the way to try any fruit no matter how difficult: this pie is for you. read more

We will be coming back! A wonderful hidden gem in the heart of Whitefish, Lola's was the perfect breakfast stop before our flight home. The breakfast patty melt was cooked to perfection with their amazing home cooked spuds. The ambiance was relaxed and casual, making us feel at home. They easily accommodated our allergy restrictions and made sure we had everything we needed. Natalie was an excellent server and I can't imagine a better send off. read more

One of only a few brunch places in downtown Whitefish. There was a 45 minute wait at 11am on a Friday during off season. It's nice to walk around downtown and check out the stores while you wait. Tables are spaced out way too far. They could likely get many more tables inside. Food is solid. The special of the day was Huckleberry French toast which was incredible. Instead of a huckleberry sauce on regular bread they actually baked special bread with huckleberries inside. Delicious but small. The eggs Benedict was fine. Pretty ordinary. But no complaints. Solid breakfast place. read more

Positives; Excellent food. Delicious fresh vegetables, perfect eggs. Large breakfast and lunch menu. Service is good, they are busy. Largest pie menu I have seen Negatives. We had to go to counter for coffee refills. Hubby ordered burrito and thought the meat was reheated and not fresh. Large space lots of tables and a counter to sit at. It is in a British basement with windows it a basement level. Being an old building it has high ceilings and feels very open. Back side entrance is disability friendly. Front entrance has stairs. 2 coffees and 2 meals $45.00 read more

Review We went to Loula's Cafe for breakfast on a Wednesday at around 0945 hours and immediately noticed the line was out the door. To me this is always a great sign of delicious food especially in a small town! We waited about 30 minutes and boy was it worth the wait! I enjoyed the ski bum and the sausage gravy was AMAZING! The bacon was crispy and the over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. My wife enjoyed the raspberry lemon French toast and it was to die for; kudos to the chef! The kids menu was perfect and our boys cleaned their plates! The ambience was amazing and I especially loved the local art on display on all of the walls and that it was for sale which always helps local artists. The service was speedy and I really appreciated them offering Coke Zero as an option on the soft drink menu! Overall the food service and decor were 10/10 and we will definitely be coming here every time we are in Whitefish! read more

Thanks Yelp for a delicious breakfast spot in downtown Whitefish! We visited here twice for breakfast, it's that good! My favorite was the cherry boysenberry pie, loved the tart juicy cherries and slightly sweet berries, the crust was light with a sugar layer! Must try!!! The poached eggs on the Benedict were perfectly runny and creamy, the sauce was only slightly buttery and ham was shaved and slightly browned! Another must try! The service was great, my coffee was always topped off! Tip- get here early or expect a wait (worth it)! read more

Way over hyped. My hash browns were oily and eggs under cooked. Didn't try the pie because the breakfast was underwhelming.

Wow! What a great restaurant. We came here by recommendation from a local and it exceeded our expectations. I ordered the ruben on gluten free bread, delicious! My partner ordered the burger with their wavy fries & a local beer. I had the famous huckleberry lemonade. They are famous for their pies. Thrilled they offer gluten free desserts too. Most of the desserts were sold out but closing time. Service was great! Everyone was kind to offer assistance. Our server was super cool & hip, funny and helpful. Loved the high ceilings & historical charm of this restaurant. Hard wood floors & lots of light made the place cheerful. We highly recommend and look forward to eating here next time we are in town read more
