Came here for dinner (made a reservation in advance) on a Friday evening, and it was busy! The restaurant is decently big and has a fair amount of parking. We were seated within five minutes in a room with a view of the street. It was raining outside, and it felt nice and cozy inside the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and checked in on how we were doing regularly. We ordered the Tot-chos (half order to share among six people) and I also got a huckleberry soda for myself as well as the bison (classic) burger with sweet potato fries. For dessert, we shared two scoops of huckleberry ice cream (from Sweet Peaks), the bread pudding and the beignets. I loved the Tot-chos, and the half order was honestly a pretty big size already! The huckleberry soda was pretty sweet (I think it had 41 grams of sugar), but I don't regret trying it. The bison burger wasn't bad, it definitely tasted similar to beef, but it was a huge burger so I couldn't finish it. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. In terms of the dessert, I had gone to Sweet Peaks already and liked their huckleberry flavor a lot, so I was excited to see them on the menu. People at my table loved the bread pudding. We had a lovely dinner here on our first night in Whitefish. We sat in a nice outdoor patio. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice--a little rustic, and comfortable. We had bison burgers, my partner got the Chair 8 (with jalapeño bacon and a smoked Gouda spread) and I got a standard cheeseburger with mushrooms and bacon. Both burgers were delicious. Visited Last Chair Kitchen and Bar on our last night in town and it was great! Staff were so nice we had to wait about 20 minutes for a group of 7 to be sat. We sat in a cute porch area but there is indoor and outdoor seating. We were pretty tired so no appetizers for us right to entrees. We ordered the Ribeye, burgers, and chicken and waffles! Ribeye was incredible, very tender and full of flavor. We went to an expensive hotel and had ribeye the night before and it had nothing on this one. Burger was good. Chicken and waffles homemade chicken strips with Gorgonzola cream and a balsamic waffle it was out of this world with flavor. This was a group favorite! This place is adorable! Everything is great. Locally sourced and made with love and care. Everything we got was wonderful. The cherry balsamic dressing was a little aggressive for my taste it was pretty much just balsamic but the lemon poppyseed dressing is where it's at! Be prepared though, this is not the place to come if you are in a hurry. If you do not have reservations (which are only accepted by phone) be prepared for an hour or more wait. Let me start by saying, I do not mind waiting. At all. However, they don't let you sit at the bar at least they didn't when we were there so if you know you're going to have people waiting an hour it wouldn't be the worst idea to make it available to at least get a drink and sit at the picnic table. We wandered into Last Chair on our first night in Kalispell. What a cute restaurant! We sat at a table with a pillow window seat. Our waiter was so kind to us. We came in about 45 minutes before closing and assured him we would be quick. He very sincerely kept reassuring us to take our time and truly didn't seem to mind when we were the last table in the restaurant. We ordered the Mezze Plate and Totchos as a starter. Both were amazing and we're so glad we ordered both to share. My husband and I both ordered the huckleberry burger as we started to learn huckleberry is a big Montana thing. Solid dining option in Whitefish. It's a few minutes outside downtown so not walking distance if you are staying near the downtown area. They have an eclectic mix of good in their menu. I wanted to try a local fish so I got the Walleye Sandwich. The fish was super tender and it was excellent. My young daughter also enjoyed it. My other half got the Indian pate. It was ok. If you have gotten great Indian food before something like this can't really compare. It was a nice mix of food in a single plate. I wasn't a huge fan of the pork chops I ordered but the rest of my group got the steelhead trout and said it was amazing. Delicious restaurant that was walking distance from our Airbnb. We were able to get a reservation for a Thursday night so keep in mind their busyness. They had the most delicious drinks. We ordered a yummy appetizer called totchos which I make at home but they made theirs so so well. They have plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. They even added tofu for me to one of their dishes! My husband ordered the yellow curry with tofu and I got their Goody Bowl which had green French lentils, vegetables and I added tofu to it. Upon arrival we thought it was kind of a hole in the walk joint but ventured in with no reservation. We were pleasantly greeted and told there was a 30 minute wait. We stayed and were seated in about 20 minutes. All I can say is that the food, service and ambiance were all 5's. We enjoyed it so much that we made reservations for our last night in town. While the food was good, all the restaurants in Whitefish were unfortunately experiencing a labor shortage, so we were quoted long wait times for eating in. We were really hungry that night, so we opted for takeaway and were luckily able to get it within 20 minutes. My husband and I shared the mezze plate, which was delicious, but I found the combination of hummus and naan bread very odd. For my main, I got the goody bowl, which felt nutritious and less decadent than the mezze. The portion was quite big and I wasn't able to finish it in one sitting. OMG. One of the best meals we've ever had and certainly the best trout dish I've ever had! The tot-chos was a delicious and fun spin on a classic bar food app. The tots were crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The black beans and salsa had just the right spice and the queso was dynamite! The Pad Thai was bursting with veggies and tofu and had a great modern, peanut flavor.
